I was there during the week and I have to say that this was as good as it can get as far as Tai Food in California — not Americanized! Cute little place but more people take out dinner /pre-order Will go there many times :)

The only place I can find with Isaan food!(If you have any other nearby recs please share) consistently good thai/Isaan food. Generous portions for the price.

Solid! Great food! Tip for Thai food lovers. Most Thai food that we know in the US is almost Thai-Chinese blend. Sometimes can be mixed with Malaysian cuisine. Thai foods don’t use heavy sauces but Chinese influence has made some dishes like pad Thai a major favorite. anyhow: despite the off location and the name, I decided to try it. I tried some well-known menu items to compare to some of other terrible and over priced Thai restaurants in the area. Chicken satay /pad Thai/green curry/pork larb. Everything came out great! Best of all the food was not sweet or salty. Pad Thai was close to the one I had in the river market in Thailand where the tomato is hinted to off balance the sweet/salty. Best of all the noddles didn’t clump immediately. Satay sticks were nice and yellow from the tumeric based flavoring and was tender that it slid off the stick easily. I think I found my Thai spot! Food isn’t made to fit the typical American taste! Even the small cucumber salad wasn’t heavily soaked in vinegar and corn syrup. BEST of all I’m not breaking my wallet and portions are generous. If you’re craving something a little«saucy,» you’re not looking for Thai, you should try schezuan Chinese style or wok style is Catonese Chinese food. I get tired of reading poor Unilocal reviews that doesn’t help real foodies to great spots.

Love this place. I come here all the time for family dinners and takeout. The food is great and the staff is very friendly. They are extremely polite. Its rare to find such polite staff in this area. Most just want to take your order and leave. Their lunch specials are awesome! You get a lot of food for the price. I always get the yellow curry chicken.

Thaiphoon? No should be called THAIRIFFIC. 2nd time here. Staff was friendly and attentive. Admittedly it was later in the evening. They have a really broad menu but I have only had the lychee curry and it’s so freaking good. I promise to go back and make an attempt to have something different but no promises. Brown rice is spectacular as well.

Great service, great food, great atmosphere. That’s not a very easy trio to come by in this area. I come here all the time and I’ve never been displeased or had a problem so I would definitely recommend it.

Outstanding Food. Eggplant Chicken, with basil, is out of the world. Outstanding Service too. We also tried stir fried chicken which was very good.

Was looking for a sushi or Korean spot… the ones I found were closed. Found this place on Unilocal.Did not disappoint! Kao Poon soup was so good. Glad we found a replacement Thai place. Will definitely come back again! No 5 star because they didn’t have the garlic shrimp my husband was looking for.

Came here for dinner and was pleasantly surprised. I was not expecting the best, seeing how this is Stevens Creek. I ordered the duck curry(spicy) with white rice. It came out to be around $ 14. The portion was generous and filling with ample pieces of duck. I would’ve liked a bit more vegetables, but it was quite delicious. I ordered it spicy hoping it would warm me up on a cold evening. Alas, the only thing they did to spice it up was add two large jalapeños. That was an unpleasant surprise. Other than that, it was definitely yummy, albeit tamer than I would like.

3STAR. Thaiphoon isn’t bad as a lunch spot with coworkers if you want Thai food. Decent lunch specials and a fair amount of options. I went to Thaiphoon with a number of coworkers last week for a birthday lunch. There were about 9 of us, and we stupidly didn’t call ahead to have a table reserved, so we ended up waiting for about 20 minutes prior to being seated. Looking at the lunch menu, there are the standard options. I ended up ordering my go-to dish: panang curry with chicken. If I remember correctly, it was $ 8.95 for the lunch special. It came with a soup appetizer(tom yum), crispy wonton, side salad, and the curry in a side bowl with a cup of rice(see attached picture). The panang curry itself wasn’t bad. I’ve definitely had better. This one wasn’t as spicy, and didn’t have as much«kick» as I am used to, but for an $ 8.95 lunch special, can’t really complain right? I also ordered a thai iced tea to complement my entrée, and it was pretty good as well. We will probably end up visiting again. The service wasn’t bad, and the ambience is nice in the restaurant. Parking is a little tricky, and the complex it’s in is rather tight. All in all, pretty neutral stance about this place. Need to go again and try more dishes before making up my mind about Thaiphoon.

The food — Excellent. I’ve tried the chicken pad thai, tom ka gai soup, beef salad(yum nua), and chicken yellow curry. The portions — tiny AF considering the prices. $ 13.95 for a standard quart of soup?! $ 11 for a pint of curry?! It’s a shame that they charge so much, or else I’d be back weekly. It’s just waaaaay too expensive for the amount of food that you get.

Good food, good service and always super fast. Being able to order it over the phone and pick it up in 10 min. or go in and spend time with friends, has always made it an enjoyable experience. Also they have been helpful with friends who are vegetarian or have allergies. The only complaint, their menu can be a little boring if not wanting the basics, but since can’t do 4.5 stars I will round up for all the positive experiences I have had here!

So I was driving by Stevens Creek blvd and noticed this restaurant, they advertised serving Laos food. I never had Laos Food so I thought I should give this place a try. I go inside and the menu has all Thai options but upon requesting the waiter for Laos food he gave me another menu. After looking at menu and with little bit of help from google I ordered Khao Soi and Thai ice tea. Fast forward 15 mins I get my food. Khao Soi was really delicious. 4 star for Khao Soi 4 star for customer service 4 star for the food as this was first time I tried Laos food and I need to try few more Laos food joints to really tell this place gets 5 star :) I will come back again to try few more Laotian dishes :)

We has BBQ chicken and chicken noodle plates, both were very good. This is a place we’d visit again. Disappointed that they charge $ 2.50 for soda and blanked out the free refill on their menu. Service was good. Dinning room was noisy with some birthday party in the back end and clanging plates. Needs acoustic absorption.

Nice inside! Definitely not what I was expecting. It’s a decent Thai place but it looks very mixed with Laos too.(granted their countries aren’t too far apart) We ordered the Chicken Thai Basil, Som Tum, and Seafood Kee Mao Noodle. They use a lot of Jalapeños in their dishes which I’m not used too with Thai food, I usually see the Red Chili flakes or Red Chili whatever, so I thought that was different. The Som Tum was decent, had a good kick to it but I noticed the papaya’s were a little thicker than I’d like and there was an excess amount of tomatoes(more than I’d prefer). The Chicken Thai Basil was good! Tasted a hefty amount of cumin or curry mixed in but I still enjoyed the dish. The chicken wasn’t dry and we were given a good amount. I really liked the Seafood Kee Mao Noodle here. I’ve never had this dish at other Thai places but this was one was good. They give you a numerous amount of seafood and don’t skip out! The noodles were the flat noodles and were chopped up more compared too Pad See Ew. I liked this dish the most! My boyfriend said the food wasn’t too greasy and I agree with him. The food is solid and they have a large menu base as well. I would come back but not a place I would crave for.

I don’t know why this place doesn’t draw a more crowd. Maybe it’s the location. Solid Thai food. Consistent…

I feel like Unilocal has steered us wrong this time around. Nice modern décor, but that’s about it. They give such small portions here and it’s not necessarily cheap either. We ordered: –pad kee Mao — this was probably the best thing we ordered, but again, the portions were very small. –pineapple fried rice — again same problem. The food isn’t horrible but the price doesn’t justify what you get. Here’s where it gets bad. chef specials/recommendations: –sweet and sour chicken — not fried, just thinly sliced chicken breast in a super watery sauce with lots of onions and peppers as filler. This is totally something you can make at home –Mongolian beef — the beef was dry and was lacking in flavor Overall, meh. How does this place have such high reviews?! Definitely not impressed.
