Love the décor. Good bartender. Been here twice on weekend afternoons. Seems like a nice working middle class crowd during the day. But like a lot of bars, atmosphere can change drastically at night. Quite the drink menu from $ 3 buds to $ 20 craft beer and $ 12 specialty cocktails. wish it was closer to home so could give them a chance to be my go to neiborhood bar. Am a little concerned that as I have the bartender a $ 50 and she put it under the till as usual for large bills but gave me change for a $ 20. Just saying

I used to go to this place all the time but I went for new years and some kid that looked like a bum told me I didn’t meet the dress code because I was wearing jeans. And then I was just told(a rumor) that the place has been taken over by the Hells Angeles like all the dive bars in San Jose. Pretty sucky if you ask me.

I want to give this place 3 ½ stars. Omg, I’ve had so many drunk memories here… anyways I noticed that this bad has lot of older cats(late 20’s to mid 40’s). There has always been a live DJ every time I come here. The DJ is either a hit or miss. There are nights were I wanted to turn the f up but the DJ was playing slow jams. :-(The décor is ugly but if you get the chance to touch the walls, it actually feels pretty soft… lol. Their fire place is bomb! But does get packed around it though so if you’re lucky enough to score a seat… lucky you. Bartenders are nice. Shout out to the girl with shoulder length blonde hair. You’re awesome!

I have only been here once, security guards were friendly. Bartenders were friendly. The bar was probably the same size as Temple in Downtown San Jose. They had live DJ. I don’t drink so I can’t even say whether the drinks are good or not. The ambience was nice though inside, from the outside, it always looked like a biker bar. So I never even wanted to give it a chance. The first and only time I have been there though, a group fight broke out and since the place was so small we all got shoved. I wouldn’t base my experience over the bar fight, but I would come back to hang out with friends.

My neighborhood bar! I’m a bartender at a couple other bars and love the atmosphere here! The elderflower liqueur is a new introduction to my life.

Ordered a Stone Cali Belgian Craft beer($ 15 bottle) that’s part of their menu from a female bartender and she looked extremely confused. I provided her the menu from there, as well as pointed it out and she couldn’t locate it from the bar. She went to the back and then came back and then poured me a draft beer. I asked her what this was, and she said it was an IPA. I asked her where was the beer that I ordered as it was from a bottle and not that beer. She insisted that this beer that she poured is an IPA, Lagunitas and that it’s good. I informed her that, that’s not what I ordered and if they don’t have the beer that I ordered, it’s fine and for her to close out my tab. She said ok and then minutes later gave me a receipt to sign that didn’t have a legible amount nor drink types. This prompted me to check my online banking and as I suspected, she charged me for the additional drink that I didn’t order. I then asked another bartender and informed her of the situation and she told me that I ordered an IPA. I explained to her that this is not the drink that I ordered and she asked me to wait. She then left and came back to inform me that they reversed the charge and only charged me for original order. I explained to her that this is not a good business practice to charge for a different drink and mislead customers on what they ordered and she snapped and told me that clearly it was a misunderstanding. I explained to her that I was very specific in what I ordered and even explained to the other bartender that she brought me the wrong drink and she clearly still rung me out for a different drink that I didn’t order. She then yelled at me and told me that it’s fixed now so I shouldn’t worry about it. This is not acceptable as I am a paying consumer and don’t appreciate being given a wrong product, then being charged incorrectly, and then the bartender clearly lying to my face. I hope this merchant reads this and makes the appropriate decision so this inappropriate business practice doesn’t occur again.

Have been here a few times and I have to say, the place is what you make it. Don’t expect to come in and be blown away by original décor or anything insanely innovative. Don’t expect to walk into the mecca of gorgeous people. Don’t expect the drinks to creatively wow you. Do expect a place where you can catch a few drinks and some chat time in with friends. Nice size, not awkwardly big or painfully small. Plenty of seating, couches(which you probably don’t want to see in the light) and high tables, plus of course the bar itself. The ambiance is slightly divey lounge. Dimly lit(in case you’re with some fuglies), casual(practically any attire would be OK), and conveniently located(if you live nearby). Perfect place to go for a few drinks with friends when you don’t wanna blow your wallet, or stunt too hard.

I like that I don’t have to scream to hear my friends. Not over crowded and they know how to make a real old fashioned. I didn’t care for the hip hop music they play. One step up from a dive bar. Bartenders were kind, restrooms risk of herpes was low. I will return for the old fashioned. I am here on a Saturday.

This is exactly how a cocktail lounge should be. The bartenders are great, the drinks are stiff, and the facilities are nice and sanitary. There are plenty of different types of bars and nightclubs, but if you’re looking for a cool spot to be a regular, grab a drink with friends or coworkers, or take a date this is a great place to hangout comfortably without contending with imposing music/patrons.

Plenty of TVs(with the sound on!), liberal bring-in-food policy, good tap beer prices($ 4 – 5), and cozy fireplace. It’s in a random spot, but near my friend’s place — so it was very convenient.

Worst service and prejudice bar tenders. Didnt get service until we struggled for the bartenders attention then when we got it she was rude as fuck

When you’ve got a lounge right in between two fast food restaurants — I’d consider that layout pretty well thought out for the center it’s located in. You can walk your booty over either direction for a cheap bite anytime or to soak up some of that ETOH, permitting that it is still within operating hours. Branham Lounge is also pretty well thought out inside too. To your left is the bar area full of bar seating around the entire perimeter of the bar. To your right is the fireplace perfect to set the mood for wining… and, wining some more. Lots of tables and booth seating all throughout that right side makes it impossible for you not to have a seat. Their two female bartenders are also pretty, friendly and helpful the times I’ve gone. That’s almost a rarity to even say nowadays since pretty girls aren’t so friendly sometimes. Not here. You get the best of both, Hallelujah! No beer on tap but to make up for that loss they’ve got better beers bottled: Green Flash, Drake’s, Ballast Point, Allagash to name a few. For the few that know me, that’s right up my alley. To make the experience that much better, there’s a DJ certain nights to make sure we have beats to complement our beer and libations. Stop by Branham Lounge when you’re feeling like fulfilling your need for Cocktails and Dreams… who knows, you might see me there if you’re lucky :)

If you want to get treated like a piece a shit by the fat ass white racist security guard, then this is the place to go. I have never done nothing wrong except go there and spent thousands of dollars. But now I will spend my money somewhere else until the securities get fired, specially the fat ass loser security who think he is the owner of the bar when he is just an employee frustated because he can’t get any pussy. I guess that is why he is an asshole. I am thinking on buying this bussines just to get his ass fired.

Nice atmosphere! Really enjoyed the centerpiece fireplace and comfy chairs. Music from the jukebox was too loud(yeah I said it). The service was a little slow & the beers on tap where not impressive. What was impressive was the Moscow mules in real copper cups.

Love this place. I like to come in here after work and have a few beers. The beers are always cold and the prices are reasonable! I only come when Laura bar tends because she is always attentive and social. The crowd is very… well it varies. Anything from the working man to hipsters! A good place to stop by!

Ive come through here a few times with a couple different groups of friends. The place is generally chill and laid back during the weekdays. I like that its actually a lounge with a lot of seating and the fireplace with the huge comfy chairs is probably my favorite touch. It gets a little loud around 10pm tho, which we were not prepared for on a Wednesday. Atleast the music was good.

Such a good time! I can dig the inside. It’s nice. The bar looked cleaned and the fireplace was a cool touch. The music was on point too. My friend wanted a place to dance but I know there isn’t much room for it but I could get over that. At first the bartender seemed to be in her conversation with another customer but after a few minutes she came up to us and was super friendly(she’s the one with wavy brown hair with blondish high lights and red lipstick) After that she was always checking up on us and was fast on her drinks… and they were yummy! She even made us her signature drink called the«kitty cat». All in all I had 3 Scooby snacks, 2 Kamikazes, 1 Rolling Rock(in a glass), and 1 Kitty Cat for $ 18! I was thinking I was going to spend around $ 30 but it was happy hour so most drinks were $ 3 or $ 4. I was pleasantly surprised. I’m use to spending $ 8 bucks for one drink! It also wasn’t super busy when we got there at 8ish which was nice but once we left around 945ish it was starting to fill up a little. I don’t like the crowds so we left at a good time. All in all… I’ll come back!

This place was alright. My friends decided to come here because they wanted to have a more low key night out. They didn’t want to go to the club so they picked this lounge. I was very hesitant but was a bit presently surprised. I liked the lounge, the fire place, and the 90s hip hop wasn’t bad. It was a Friday night? I think. And there was a good amount of people there. But my only problem was that everyone seemed so old. If you’re in your 30s I think this might be the place for you. But I still feel 5 years from this scene.
