I paid $ 20 for a beer and fries. Freaking airport food. The fries were solid and the beer was good but $ 20? C’mon man…

I love this place. I fly all the time and never pass up the chance to come here when I’m at SJC. Food is great, drinks are strong and the staff is awesome!

Terrible service. Thursday night. Looks like the restaurant is about 2⁄3 full and I only see one bartender and two waitresses. We had to get our own menus, walk up to the bar to get our own drinks, and place our order. Thankfully, they did manage to bring our order(the chicken sandwich is surprisingly delicious but the fries are luke warm — bummer). If this place looks busy, consider another spot because who has time to wait 23 minutes before placing an order?! Thank goodness for the bartender — he got us water! We had to go to the bar for our bill too. Service is really terrible.

A decent place to grab a drink before your flight. Really stopped by for a few minutes had myself a Guinness and was out of the place by the time I slammed down the glass. Nice bartender, next time if I have more time I definitely would hang out a little bit more here.

In defense of the service, Sunday night my flight was delayed, the place was half full, no hostess, I could see the one waitress was busy, seated myself and checked Unilocal for a food recommend, based on reviews presumed I’d have to flag down the waitress but she/Tanya stopped by, greeted me and took my order and within minutes brought back my drink which she mixed herself! I ordered bangers and mash, it was decent for airport food. Tanya apologized they had run out of broccoli, my lucky day! I got a side salad instead which was much better. Tanya was working really hard covering the place herself but was attentive kind and helpful. Three stars for the food, five stars for Tanya’s service!

The food was congealed, my Long Island iced tea had LIME in it(are you fucking kidding me?) and the waitress got pissy when I said my drink was wrong and she refused to get me another. They also didn’t have dries or broccoli. And they serve the onion rings with ketchup. I’m not kidding. Ketchup.

I thought the service was great. Full bar and had a great breakfast. They serve lunch and dinner there too.

I have enjoyed The Brit many times while waiting for my flight back to OC. Today may be an anomaly, but the server came back four times to look inside the bill folder. I am not even dining, just waiting for my flight home with 45 mins to spare. And paying for a Cab and a Diet Coke. What a pain…

While typically a long wait(not a problem for those arriving early for a flight or delayed) the food and beer selection are the best in terminal B. As you can tell by the name it’s British named with reasonable replications of classic British style dishes like fish’n’chips and shepherd’s pie. Beer selection varies from California locals to a number of British imports.

Good food, good beer selection, poor service. If you have limited time at SJC to catch your plane, avoid the Brit. I guess they make enough on volume to not care about individual service. Plenty of staff standing around, not much action accept for one guy, but he couldn’t keep up. It would be faster to walk from a place further from your gate than to wait here. I know of a worse place in the Detroit airport, but this is 2nd worst for airport bar service in my experience. AVOID

This place was OK. Service: No one was there to greet my small group and me(4 people total) so we sat ourselves at a table that had not been cleaned yet. It took about 5 minutes for someone to address our table. Then when the waitress was cleaning it, she wiped most of the crumbs off the table and onto my friend’s lap, yikes. No one really checked up on our table while we were there. Food: I got the boneless wings. The taste and amount of wings were pretty good for the price($ 11). The taste wasn’t too spicy and not bland. Pretty satisfied with it.

I have yet to try any of their food, but this is a decent spot to grab a drink or two before catching your flight. If you’re in a hurry, I would suggest grabbing a seat at the bar. Service at the bar is faster and more importantly there are outlets at the bar to charge your phone or other mobile devices. There are also lots of TV in this place in case there are sports games on.

What to do when your flight gets delayed and you have to wait another hour? Get some food and beer, duh! Okay, this is food from the airport so I didn’t expect it to be highly recommended but their food was good! We ordered buffalo wings and holy crap they are so good! The sauce was perfect and the skin was crispy. The chicken tenders taste like, well, chicken tenders. The Sierra Nevada tasted funny though. The food is good but the bill was pricy for two drinks and two appetizers but it’s a restaurant inside the airport so it was expected. Go try their buffalo wings!

I am very fussy about fish & chips and I had the best in a long time here in May 2015. On my next trip, I craved them and was hugely disappointed. Both pieces had very little to zero non-greasy, fluffy, crisp batter. The larger piece looked more like pan fried Dover sole with a film of grease and pepper with no batter at all, the small one had very little batter. When I tried the larger piece, I immediately spit it out since it had such a bad taste. They got me another small piece and I could not eat it, either. I have no idea how this dish made it out of the kitchen — everyone should be a part of quality control.

Good place for a beer(or wine or cocktails) at the airport! Not a ton of beers on draft — but I really just wanted a Blue Moon anyway. $ 9 for a 20oz Blue Moon really isn’t bad!

Not bad for airport food, the service was good as well, didn’t have to wait very long. I ended up getting the fish and chips and chose two instead of one… big mistake! The fish was massive, I counted more like 3 large pieces. So just a rule of thumb, less fish or choose salad. Those who just want a drink, that is an option as well.

Great little English pub to stop by while waiting for your flight. I love how they pour the Guinness here– it’s very well done. We had about 10 minutes til boarding and asked about how fast the food would take– to which they responded: 10 minutes. We decided not to order our food, then later the bartender tells us they can rush the order to about 5. Sure enough our fish and chips came, deliciously battered & fried. Cheers to them tending to our order fast, and for a well poured Guinness!

So, after completed training in California I headed to the airport and early as we was we sat down at the Brit at the San Jose Airport. It was a typical airport cutout, but they had done what they could to instill their ambiance in this place. The waiters and waitresses were very attentive, and a shout out to the lovely Elise who was a rock dealing with loud military personnel. The negative is that they were out of both Guinness and Boddingtons(which should never happen) but we made due with what they still had on tap, and we enjoyed a truly remarkable burger here. For an airport joint I was very pleased with my burger, both quantity and quality. Again, the waitstaff was more than generous with their attentiveness and always a smile on their faces. I would definitely go here again to kill time at the San Jose Airport. It was a pleasure.

I was sad to see that this place didn’t get that great of a review, I mean it is a spot in the airport so I’m not expecting 5 stars or anything, but it’s not THAT bad. but then maybe again it is just lower because it’s an airport spot? kinda like my reiew? eeks lol one star for good service– there was only one bartender and one waitress so expect service to be slower but they were still good! another star for cleanliness– i read several reviews that this place wasn’t clean but maybe I just came on a good day or they just had an inspection or something haha. it was pretty clean to me! another star for their food– got the mozzarella sticks and chicken strips– actually pretty tasty not bad for an airport place!

In between Gates 19&20 in Terminal B of the Mineta San Jose International Airport, the décor is that of a British Pub. Small location, there’s not much seating so I can imagine it being fairly packed during prime dining times. We had a late flight so we were there about an hour before their closing and easily found seating. Our Order: Fish & Chips:(1 pc — $ 15⁄2 pcs — $ 17) Icelandic White Cod(Beer Battered & Deep Fried) served w/tartar sauce & chips Sheperd’s Pie:($ 14) Ground Beef w/Onions and Gravy topped w/Mashed Potatoes, Cheese and a sliced Tomato Nolet’s Gin Mule:($ 11) Nolet’s Silver Dry Gin and Ginger Beer served w/a Lime Wheel and Fresh Mint Leaves Speakeasy Big Daddy IPA: 16oz — $ 8 /20oz — $ 9 I got the Shepard’s Pie and it came out with a hard layer of cheese. Right underneath was the slice of tomato(which I thought was very odd). The mashed potato to ground meat ratio was really off: mostly meat which isn’t too bad but I usually like 50:50 ratio since I enjoy mashed potatoes. I took a bite of my BF’s fish & chips and thought it tasted like the frozen kinds as it was fairly fishy. $ 17 for only two pieces of fish? Definitely getting gouged =/Surprisingly, drinks are typical SF prices. The alcohol in my Nolet’s Gin Mule wasn’t too strong so there was a good balance. Be sure to ask if the patio is open(it’s not a real patio but it’s in front of the restaurant where you can people watch in the terminal). There’s no signage saying if it’s open or closed. When we sat down, several employees saw us but didn’t say anything. Finally after about 10min, my BF went to ask an employee about ordering and only then were we informed that the patio was closed. Service wasn’t very good. Our waitress provided the table next to us utensils but didn’t give us any(even though we had already gotten our drinks). We also had to remind her for the condiments that we asked for since she forgot. Extremely pricey for subpar food, even for airport food. Should’ve just gone to Pizza My Heart. Good drinks though.
