The Liquor Bin

This store is great and we need more proximity stores like this one.
The staff is extremely friendly and give good advices. They remember their customers and their tastes/​habits.
They are generally slightly more expensive than Bevmo yes but then? I can walk from home while something is cooking and go get some wine to enjoy with so what’s more to ask?
The place is slightly old looking but they have a very nice selection of beers, wines and liquor.
Just ask the staff what’s on sale or what promotion they are having and trust me you’ll make better deal than in those big alcohol chains or supermarkets.
Few examples:
— Boogle 2013 vintage pinot noir? excellent wine. 9.90 $
— 1800 Tequila large bottle (1.75l) 21.90 $
Good deals, nice staff, super convenient (and please try the Taco truck on the parking lot!!!)

Very Great Service! Under New Management so just disregard all the comments below. I am amazed how low prices they have. They are beating Safeway Prices!

There good people, known them for awhile living near the store, cheaper than Safeway liqour prices and I get my Swisher Sweets from there

This is a quick spot for when I wanted to buy some Blue Moon to go with my Pizza Hut. But the 6 pack is pricey so I opted for a 40 lol. They do not have cream soda! He did have many other items, lots of variety. The guy was friendly and made me feel comfortable late at night.

This man charged me $ 10 for a $ 5 scratcher but then later gave me back $ 5. Also telling me that the beef jerky was $ 2 previously then charging me $ 3.99 for it. I caught this shady transaction and confronted him about it. He explained to me that the beef jerky and the soda was added together for the «$ 3.99» transaction. I dont understand how that was possible so I kept arguing with him then he finally returned me $ 1. I then demanded him to print me a new receipt with all the correct totals and he insisted I went behind the counter to look at the cash register screen. My old receipt stated around $ 48 with a $ 2.98 tax. The new receipt with the total of $ 42 had a cost of $ 3.01 tax. How does that make sense… He obviously been changing the amount manually! I grabbed my receipt from him and I said I was over this and walk away furiously. He then handed me back another dollar. Im warning u guys to be aware of this man conning you for your money! My friends also had serveral incident here. Keep your eyes open!

this is a great spot, they got a lil bit of everything, and the guys there always take good care of me, they cant control who hangs out in front, dont blame them

Sketchy crowd here, but you can’t say that is the store’s fault entirely. Lets not let them off the hook though. They say «No Loitering», but they obviously have no issue with the people that adorn the front of the store after dark… or the back of the store for that matter.
I have seen cops go in the back off of Branham on more than one occasion. Where there’s smoke, there’s fire.

There was an on-​sight liquor promotion taking place at this location and the employees would not stop harassing us and trying to take pictures on their camera phones. This place is very untidy and unprofessional.
We left immediately after realizing that this liquor store is connected to Ernies Liquor store [family]. Read below of our partial review of the latter:
Ernie’s Liquor: The majority of employees there are respectful, however, there was a recent pending sexual battery charge against one of the employees who walked me to the back to show me the bathroom while there was an on-​sight promotion and some unsolicited touching took place. SJPD was called.

Rob is right. I refuse to go to this place because of all the garbage that hangs around here. i went to get a tall can and i got stared at all crazy walking out by the thugs standing by the door. This is in a nice area but seems to attract a rough crowd.

More like the Trash Bin, if you ask me! I’d go there only if you’re desperate for some cigs and maybe a 12pack of Bud and a 1-​shot of cheapass tequila/​vodka. BevMo this is not! Stroll down the isle of fine liquor, and all you find are bottles covered in a fine layer of dust, preserved for future alcoholics. I’ve seen liquor stores in the middle of ghettorific East San Jo that look better than this!
