I went there at 4:30pm but it was closed even though they are supposed to be open til 5:30pm. There was no sign explaining if they would be back. The store(or building) appears to be for sale with a for sale sign. I peeked in the window like other people were doing but the clothes looked too old for me.

She is a smooth talker. when I went in with my plus sized clothes she told me she had a big need for larger sizes(my daughter was with me and witnessed this) and when I called later to inquire about the sale of the items I had brought in, she told me that there was very little need for large sizes and that, while she still had some of the items, she had donated most of them to the American Cancer Society! She was abrupt and rude and I felt like I had been scammed. These were dresses I had bought at expensive stores to where in my daughters’ weddings and for other special occasions. Her tone really changed from when she wanted my clothes to when I inquired about if they had been sold. I would not trust her.

I have purchased several great pieces of clothing at this store, most in the $ 30 – 40 range. The owner is a typical New Yorker type, a little brash but very helpful: she helped me find matchups and brought me things in the dressing room. I also bought some lovely costume jewelry as gifts for my aunties, and they loved them. I will definitely continue to shop here.

I have waited YEARS to post a review on this store thinking that the woman who owns/runs it would get better with time. Well let me tell you… it has not happened!!! She is ALWAYS a snarky nasty person. Every time I have tried to give her another chance and go in and see what she has she kills it before I can even get past the purses in the front of the store. I honestly have NO idea why she stays in business. If she hates her job/career that much she really should consider other options. There is NO reason to go into this store unless you are a gluten for punishment.

I’m going to have to agree with the review above my review. This store isn’t the greatest and there are definitely better consignment stores out there. The last time i was in The Paris Flea was a few days ago and I wasn’t acknowledged when I entered the store. This isn’t something that’s necessary for a good review, but a simple hello would have sufficed since there were only two people(me included) in the store. I browsed for a while, not finding anything to my liking and finally left. The selection is more for the mature set, most of the clothes has a «stuffy» feel to it. Not my cup of tea. I had to say«thanks» for any acknowledgment as I left the store. The smell is also not that great, kind of a musty/old smell. I gave this store a few chances, and this review is definitely not based on my having been to this shop only once. I went several times over a few month period, and neither the store nor the salespeople got any better. I’ll be skipping this store from now on.

One of my least pleasant retail experiences occurred at this establishment. The location is hidden in the back of the building near the parking lot. The space has a low ceiling and the air of a more orderly Savers-type store however with the addition of sequins. And now for the frustrating bit… The proprietress is a most unpleasant woman. She has the disposition of Judge Judy! She does not listen, she interrupts when you are responding to her questions and she seems prepared to fight when all you are doing is asking a question about her procedure. All the signs were there from my first meeting with the woman that I should find another establishment or venue to sell my goods. I wanted to sell three purses, one Kate and two leather Dooneys, which I used about two times each(three foolish purchases, I know!). I thought a consignment store would be less hassle than Craig’s List. The items were originally purchased in the mid $ 300. The check I received for all three purses and a matching leather wallet was about $ 140. I was disappointed with the money I received for my goods but mostly I am frustrated with the rude proprietress. If you choose to use this establishment(although why should you, there is a charming consignment store one building away from the Flea) make sure you come back to the store a couple of days after you dropped off your goods to pick up a list of your goods and prices. This is the step which I didn’t do(because the proprietress did not tell me that this was the store’s procedure) and because of this I was scolded like a belligerent child.
