Dr. Thinh Mai is a very good listener and treats the right way each patient needs…
I am lucky I found him. the front office staff are very friendly and organized appointments and clear paper works make me feel relaxed.
The dark chocolate I get after the appointments from the front office is delicious.
Good way to finish with the appointment.

I would give this place a ⁰⁄₅ if I could.
Issues I had with him:
1. Makes me fill out 2 hours of paperwork before the appointment begins
2. Makes me wait 30 min for my appointment, despite me showing up on time
3. Tells me repeatedly, throughout the entire session, that I should quit my sport. My sport had nothing to do with my ailment. I dedicated my heart and soul to my sport, like any olympian would. Never tell an athlete to quit their sport.
4. He didn’t even have an issue with my sport. He had an issue with my cannabis use. (I use it as a painkiller). He could’ve told me to stop using cannabis, but instead he used the entire time to belittle my sport.
I’ve lost so much time dealing with this man.

Dr. Mai communicates clearly. He has an excellent understanding of how pharmaceuticals work and does a great job explaining how they work to patients and parents. His listening skills are good and he applies a broad knowledge and professional experience in diagnosing effectively. So far have used him for help with teenagers but I suspect he is good with all age groups and backgrounds. He also has an excellent office staff to handle patient appt scheduling and insurance billing. The office is clean and comfortable. (Both locations)

First visit with Dr. Mai and so far and I feel he is friendly and a good listener. He took the time to listen and asked questions while he was also typing my info on his computer. He made eye contact and showed a sense of concern. Dr. Mai made me feel at ease to discuss some of my deep traumas and made suggestions along with a regiment of medication for my future treatment plan. He didn’t make me feel rushed at all. Although, the new patient paperwork is quite extensive; I felt a movie can be made from my bio.
The office and staff: clean, neat and professional. The ladies all seemed to know each other’s roles and never did I hear chatter of their lives. It was strictly business. Many other offices that I have been to isn’t as professional as these ladies.
For anyone who feels the need to seek out a psychiatrist in the Blossom Valley area, try Dr. Mai.

This review is for Dr. Thinh D. Mai for took over for Dr. Duke D. Fisher after he broke the law and then passed away.
Dr. Mai is incredibly compassionate and caring towards all of his patients. He truly listens to all of your concern and customizes your treatment to help suit your needs.
He’s a great listener, he’s friendly, and an all around great doctor. I highly recommend him.
