The line was slow moving, it took over 45 minutes just to place my order. This may be because it is the 5th of July and there are fireworks after the game. I got in line 20 minutes before the start of the game but missed the first two innings! I ordered the tri tip sandwich($ 9.75) and a hot dog($ 5.50). The hot dog was ok but the tri tip I think was cooked by being boiled so it was really bland. The roll was soggy due to this meat being so «juicy», and the BBQ sauce barely improved it. If you want BBQ before the game go somewhere else and you will save a lot of time and probably enjoy it more!

BBQ and Baseball is a great combo. However, like the team that plays at Municipal Stadium, this BBQ is minor league. We ordered rib dinners, but had to wait 5 min for them to finish the ribs — yet, once we chomped into the meat, it was tough and cold. They gave us a pile of 10 ribs for $ 18, so quantity was not an issue, but several were so tough we couldn’t eat them. The sauce was simply dumped on the rib pile, so some had gobs of sauce and some had none. You get 2 sides with your rib plate, but the corn-on-the cob which looked so appealing wasn’t available(10 more minutes, they said). The baked bbq beans tasted like they simply opened a can and heated it. The potato salad was OK, but nothing special. Timing may have been a factor; we got our food as the game was starting. Perhaps those that come earlier would have more tender(edible) meat. We also were eying those who got big, juicy turkey legs and wondered if that is what you really ought to get at a place called«Turkey Mike’s». Our son skipped the BBQ and got a pizza and he was very happy. I had this tough meat churning in my belly the whole game, degrading the experience. Clearly the best BBQ at the stadium(because it’s the only BBQ at the stadium), but I am certain they can do better.

The 1 star is for food which is good and the staff is also hardworking but not worth it. We had prepaid food tickets — which means people pay for food beforehand so they do not have to go through hassle And wait. Since we had prepaid food passes, we were gonna stay in line so who cared right? Thats exactly what we went through. There were 2 lines one for prepaid tickets and for cash. The cash line moved in 20 minutes and prepaid passes holders moved in 1.5 hrs. Note to prepaid ticket buyers– if you buy be prepared to stand in longer lines as the owner knows your money is in and you will wait forever. One of the worst experiences in my life.

Good food at the SJ GIants game in the SJ Municipal Stadium. Enjoyed what we ordered. Children’s meal is $ 9.50(hot dog, chips and an apple juice). 2 hot dogs: $ 5.25. Pulled pork sandwich: $ 7.75 Place to sit with umbrellas and plenty of seating. Next time I’m trying the ribs –they looked delish!!!

Recommend the Ribs, Beans and Corn. Would come back again, and would recommend to a Friend. Probably the best part of going to a San Jose Giants game. Recommend ordering the Ribs Dry and getting the sauce on the side. That way you can enjoy the rub which is pretty tasty and then apply sauce as you wish. Beans were awesome. FYI, they are on the sweet side. Yum!

My family has been going here for several years. We have always had a great time watching the San Jose Giants play. The location features Turkey Mike’s BBQ Area. Turkey Mike’s has always been a regular place for us to pick up dinner and watch the game. The price in recent years has increased for their food but we understood and the food continued to be delicious as advertised. Then the last time we went to Turkey Mike’s BBQ we did not have a good experience at all. There were three of us that night we marked on the order sheet they hand out that we wanted two rib dinners and one Mesquite Grilled Chicken Dinner. We got our dinners and proceeded to their checkout counter. The employee behind the counter took our order sheet and rang up our dinners and we eventually found a place to sit two watch the game. We began to eat our food when we realized that the employee had charged us for 3 rib dinners and a Mesquite Grilled Chicken Dinner. The rib dinners were $ 18 so we definitely went back to get our money back. The employee said that we were lucky to get our money back and that we will never be able to do that again. Enough said. I’m eating at home before I go the game.

The best barbeque I’ve every had. The wait is long, but totally worth it! The only notable down-side is some of the food options sell-out before you order. I experienced this during the All-Star game so I am not sure if this is a common occurrence or just an isolated incident so it isn’t reflected in my star rating because what I did eat was superb. In fact, I am going to another game so that I can eat here again. The ribs, beans and sauce rock!

I am very picky when it comes to chowing down on some BBQ. Though this spot is only available during SJ Giants games, it definitely makes the cut in my book. From hot bbq sandwiches to the full blown BBQ dinner meals, this place has more than expected at a minor league baseball game. I ordered the BBQ pork rib dinner and was I glad I did! Not only was it reasonably priced for a full slab of ribs and large sides of baked beans and potato salad, but boy were these portions HUGE! They were so big that the entire group of 8 I was with had the opportunity to try some of my epic meal. The baked beans and potato salad were incredible(even though I think they totally store bought these things from Costco down the street, because I swear I’ve tasted the same exact items at BBQs). As for the BBQ pork ribs, the BBQ sauce was finger lickin’ good! However, my only complaint was that they need to perhaps trim some of the fat off the slab, because a couple of times I ended up chewing on BBQ sauce covered fat chunks. Overall, BBQ bombness, reasonable prices, and a shout-out to the Theta Chi’s, Antoine and Ricardo, for hooking an old friend up!

Great pulled pork sandwhich. Considering I have had some horrible food in san jose(ie. Bibo’s pizza), this place has decent food for a ballpark.

Hate to do the 2-star bit, but Turkey Mikes needs some serious quality control. My son had warned me not to get the TriTip Sandwich last time, so I avoided the Sandwich selections and went for the Dinner TriTip. Tasted like leather, and it was a Sandwich! Traded for the Ribs, and got a plate of charred, overcooked gristle. Our guests’ comments ranged from«meh,» to «okay for ballpark food.» What happened to the«Wow!»? We expect the players to do their best, and you guys are capable of doing much better!

Even in today’s newest and shiniest major league ballparks, you temper your expectations for food and drink. Anything really worth getting is outrageously priced(such as AT&T’s Crazy Crab sandwich) and everything else is just awful. Turkey Mike’s, especially being at a minor league park, is an outstanding exception to that rule. A selection of barbecued meats in both sandwich and full dinner forms are available. The sandwiches(chicken, pulled pork) run around $ 7 – 9 and the full dinners(chicken, ribs) are about $ 12 – 14. And yes, portion sizes are fantastic. All are offered with a very sweet barbecue sauce. I emphasize very sweet, because it was too sweet for me and without any heat to balance it out, I found myself not liking it. However, the barbecue rub is fantastic on its own and the meats are all very tender and juicy so the sauce is very much not required. The sides — potato salad, mac salad, corn on the cob, etc. — all work but aren’t anything too special. I definitely recommend against the fruit salad. It’s little more than a kids fruit cocktail cup. Bleh. There is a shaded eating area next to Turkey Mikes… and if you’re getting the dinner, you want to sit down there. This is not the type of food that you’ll want to eat at your seat. Also stock up on wet naps. Really good barbecue at surprisingly reasonable prices. And then you get to watch a game of baseball with potential future Giants stars. Fantastic.(don’t forget to save room for a churro!)

Going to a minor league ballpark, I was not expecting to eat a full meal. Baseball food is usually a hot dog, some peanuts, and a drink. But with Turkey Mike’s, there was a lot more available to the discriminating San Jose Giants fan. I ordered the rib dinner, which came with 2 sides, while my wife ordered a pulled pork sandwich. I was served 8 ribs(already cut) with BBQ sauce, along with corn on the cob and potato salad. The ribs were meaty and the sauce sticky and sweet. The potato salad was good, but the corn was really sweet. My wife’s pulled pork sandwich was filled with meat, almost too big for her to finish. Thankfully, there’s a shaded picnic area where you can sit down to eat. We ate before the game started, but you can also take your tray to your seat while you watch the game. Make sure you bring a lot of napkins, as you’ll need them to wipe sauce from your hands and face!

For a baseball stadium(even a minor league one), he food here is better than you would expect. I have had a bunch of the dishes on the menu from burgers, tri-tip sandwiches, pulled park and chili burgers. Almost everything is great and you MUST get the BBQ sauce! Also, what dish isn’t better with cheese and bacon. I have to admit all my experiences here have been amazing up until the last one. I got the chili burger. The chili was great, but the burger was rather dry and not entirely edible. Alas, there are other great items on the menu and I will avoid this one next time

In the real world, TURKEYMIKE’S BBQ is a 3.5 or 4 star meal. But when you put it all into context, this quality of food at a ballpark makes it so much better. I’ve been going to San Jose Giants games for years — and sadly — I probably go as much for the BBQ as I do for the baseball. It is located behind third base and they have a few other«express» locations in the park. They give you a pencil and a lineup sheet with choices of ribs, chicken, tri-tip, burgers, dogs and sausages. They also have great sides like baked beans, potato salad and corn. I’ve had just about everything. My favorite items are the ribs, polish or hot link. You give your completed lineup sheet to one of the nice teenagers with the horrible farmer tans, where he/she collects your order and they get it to you in about a minute. I highly recommend a SJ Giants game. Turkey Mike’s BBQ, a Lagunitas IPA and a churro from Olympos. All reasonably priced too! A glimpse at the future stars for the Giants — and pretty bangin food to boot! 4.5 stars.

Turkey Mike’s is located down the Third Base line of San Jose Municipal stadium and is a «must try» for any baseball aficionado. The Barbecue is very good,(excellent on the Ballpark scale), and service is swift once you get through their line. Yes, there’s a line from 2 hours prior to every San Jose Giants game to the 9th inning. Actually, I’m convinced the hungriest fans in baseball can be found in this park as I’ve never seen so much food consumed. If you do not like barbecue, there’s Philly Cheese Steak sandwiches, burgers and an assortment of non BBQ items to fulfill every palette’s needs. Turkey Mike’s has outdoor and indoor(in a giant tent) seating. As you may imagine, it’s often ~100 degrees at game time and the perils of eating on the third base line may be a reason to enjoy their indoor picnic tables. Attire is casual. Mui casual, and the price is right. You can easily eat well for sub $ 10, something I can not say about many other ballparks. Go and enjoy. The story of why it’s called Turkey Mike’s can be read while standing in the line.
