Unilab Quest Diagnostics

I have never had blood taken before and never been to a lab facility. I found this place to be efficient and friendly, yep they were busy but they were quick at seeing people. When they took my blood it was painless and quick and the lady was chatty and friendly, I would recommend Quest Diagnostics 25N 14^th St :)

Staff is unpleasant, the wait seems ridiculous and they could seemingly easily afford more staff to make this faster. Waiting room was completely full, nowhere to sit. Without an appointment you could wait over an hour. At other labs I was used to 15 mons at most… how long does it really take to draw blood? I used to work at a vet and was faster on animals that need restraint.

It’s horrible and worse lab I’ve been to, only one staff front desk and one lab tech. I’ve been waiting for 1.5 hr for my husband lab work when the lab tech called him. The front desk didn’t smile and she looked mean. The lab needs to hire more ppl so they can be more efficient and faster service. I’ll look for another lab next time and never come back to this place again

This place is horrible, only one front desk person and one lab tech. They need to hire more lab tech to provide better and faster customer service. Will never come back after today, just that kaiser send me here and can’t go anywhere else .Gosh been 35 mins and I’m not even check in.

I have been to another Quest lab, and this one is much nicer! It has a decent sitting area, and their staff was knowledgable and friendly. You can park in the lot behind the building for free. It is a great idea to set up an appointment beforehand.

Super duper strict here. I mean that’s what all drug test place should be. It was my first time here last week and I had a so-​so experience. Wasn’t great, wasn’t bad. The front desk people were nice to me, but for some reason they weren’t too nice to the people who couldn’t real speak English. The lady in the front couldn’t understand what this guy was saying so she kept on speaking to him louder. Like really lady? If he didn’t understand you the first time, saying the same thing a second time but louder won’t make him understand you. Kinda sad, but hey what can you do. Anyways… Come here if u really need a drug test, but I know there’s quest diagnostics all over SJ.
Just a quick tip though: MAKE AN APPOINTMENT so you don’t have to wait so long.

Worth the wait (about 30 mins) coming from other location (alum rock) this place is extremely knowledgeable and experienced

My wife had an awful (and fun) experience here and commanded me to write this review for her, so here it goes. She made an appointment online at 2:20pm. She showed up on time and there were two other customers before her. She showed her appointment but was told to wait. That wait took 40 minutes, after serving the other two customers! The assistant clearly had no idea how appointment should be handled here. My wife reminded her a couple of times that she should be given priority over the walk-​in customers but the assistant would not listen.
Now finally after serving the other two customers, she went in to ask her manager to do the paperwork for her so she could do it faster. What, now? After holding her for 40 minutes? Then she got a «no» from his manager and came back and told my wife about that and asked my wife whether to chose to proceed with the procedure or to walk away today. What? You kept her waiting for 40 minutes and now she cannot wait for you to do some paperwork? Anyway my wife asked to continue.
Now the fun began. After finishing one bottle, she tossed the bottle towards the table, which scrolled off the table and dropped to the ground. She picked it up and continued as if nothing happened. My wife was relieved to see that she didn’t do it for the second bottle, but that didn’t last long. She did it again on the third bottle! This time my wife flashed her other hand and caught the bottle in the air — Yes you need not just patient to be here, but some baseball skills too.
So much for my wife’s story. Hope you’re entertained — my wife wasn’t, but I was.

Took my mom for a fasting blood test, got there at 9am and they didn’t call her name till 10:30am. I blame quest diagnostics for not having proper staff in that lab. There were two Asian nurses working there and they were checking in the patients and also taking them in. The back todo the blood test. They should have a designated person to do only the check in for the patients.
One patient was in tears because they were taking so long to call her name and she was in pain. It was very sad. Quest, hire more people!!!
