I have been going to this spa for abut 8 years now. I love it. I get a facial about once a month and I look forward to it ALL month. Violet is very knowledgeable, and is always able to help me with my skin care needs. I also use and love the products sold at the spa.

I received the hot stone massage as a Xmas gift. I had never had one before though I have had several massages. I typically am not fond of having a man do my massage (personal choice) so I was a little surprised when I saw William. Despite my initial hesitations, he did a wonderful job making me feel comfortable (keeping me adequately covered — better than any other massage I’ve had) and explaining things enough (but not talking too much).
The ambiance of this place is calming and charming — kind of an antique chic feel. Yes, it’s a smaller place but the massage room was a decent size — with good lighting (dimmed at appropriate times) and soft music.
I felt very pampered all the way through my 1.5 hours. It started with a foot soak as I filled out some paperwork — I don’t know what was in the warm water but it smelled good and my feet have never felt so soft! Everything — including the robe and massage bed, felt luxurious. After the massage (I asked for «deep» and there was a decent amount of pressure), the hot stones were used to massage my body and then were left in my hands. I was allowed to relax on the stones for several minutes at the end of the massage. It was all very relaxing.
I recommend this spa as a special treat for your special someone — I know my husband scored big points when he surprised me with my certificate.

The owner did call me, personally to tell me I could see the foyer and the bathrooms. Still not the other areas of the spa since they are so booked.

I wanted to book a walk through of the spa before deciding on spending over $ 200 on a gift certifcate for a spa package. I scheduled an appointment with the receptionist but was called back, told by the owner, they do not do walk thrus due to the clients privacy in the back. I am only allowed to see the lobby.
I don’t like that, if I am dropping over $ 200 on gift certificate for a spa package, I want to see the place first, cleanliness is key in a place and also is customer service. The reviews looked so good then this happened. So one star for them.

I had a Heated Stone massage on Saturday morning and it was AMAZING! William is by far the best masseur I’ve been to in years. His personality was gentle and very professional and his massage was exactly what I asked for. I loved that he gently explained each step without disturbing my relaxed state and maintained the massage pressure that I prefer. I will definately be back.
I’m a massage snob and hate a massage where the young (usually girl) continues to ask how the pressure is. If I’m telling you to dig in to the muscle to release the spasm, you aren’t doing it right. I much prefer a man with some strength in his hands to work on this tired body. William definately gets 5+ stars from me!

I visited Spa R and R last weekend for my friends birthday. My friend had a massage by William. She said it’s one of the best massages she’s ever had. I had a wrap, brow wax and facial by Ms Rossi. All of the services were super. My brows look great! My skin was glowing and I was totally relaxed. I’m going back again soon!

I LOVE Dr. Violet Johnson, and she gives the best facials. The salon is very clean and relaxing, and the service is the best. No, it doesn’t have the fancy-​schmanzy robes/​tubs like the other cool places, at the to be seen spots on Santana Row, but she gives education regarding your skin and the best pampering! Unfortunately, I haven’t seen her in ages due to finances, but I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I was hesitate to come to a new place to get facials. My sister was ranting and raving that I should at least try it once. I’ve been coming here for almost a year now and I have NO complaints. Not only the service is fantastic but also the calming atmosphere and the friendly staff members. I will NOT go anywhere else to get a facial, a wax or a massage. I recommend that you should at least come here once. Trust me… you will be hoooked!

I get regular waxing done here and the occasional facial and massage. By far the best facial I have ever had. Violet Johnson, the owner, has very beautiful skin herself, so it is easy to take advice and recommendations from her. Also, the facial is like a mini-​massage. While you have a mask on, she massages your hands, feet, head and neck. Lovely. Highly recommend.

I did not see the other persons actual review. Gave it one star and then no input. I had a great experience here about about a year ago. I have also bought gift certificates for my friends here. I thought it was supremely clean, nice atmosphere and great massage.
