This is one of my favorite place to eat. I like the food here, especially the dry noodle and separate soup. I’ve searched much of the bay areas restaurants for a simple noodle soup(not phở) without success, until I found this place. Their food are fresh and taste very good. I’ve tried different dishes like their famous soup, wonton noodle soup, BBQ pork fried rice and several other dishes and they all taste good. The staff there are attentive as well, when they’re not too busy. The only negative thing I can say about this place is that it’s too far from where I live. 45 minutes each way is too far, especially if you want something quick to eat.

It’s called«yummy» for a reason. Hu tieu here always hits the spot. Waiters are nice and familiar almost like a distant aunt or uncle whom you haven’t seen in a while. Docked a couple of stars because getting in and out of the parking lot is a nightmare especially since it’s on a super busy street.

#2 dry. It’s awesome! The soup comes with a giant bone marrow. The noodles are cooked perfectly with just a bit of bite. Will drive 45 – 50 minutes for this place!

Stick to their house specialty, hu tieu trieu chau, dry style. Trust me. I’ve tried their house special with egg noodles and rice noodles, and the rice noodles always wins! It’s not overly cooked and still has a nice chewy texture. The egg noodles are always overcooked. Normally I’d enjoy a bowl a noodles here but the ratio of meat to noodles was completely off this last time. They gave me super thin pieces of sliced pork, and itty bitty bits of other meats with A LOT of noodles. I always end up to going the rest of my noodles. What I do enjoy are the toppings you can add to your noodles. They offer MORE house special brown sauce in a squeeze bottle, along with super spicy pickled serranos. YUM. Also, with every dry noodle bowl comes with side of bone soup. Love slurping the soup(with lots of MSG) in between bites of my noodles! It’s great to dip with their Chinese donuts too. Come here for a quick noodle fix if you’re super hungry, the service is better than most asian restaurants too. *On a side note, even though there’s a sign that says«Cash Only», they DO take card. We came here thinking they took card but once we got inside and saw the sign, we asked our waitress and she said«yea sorry, cash only.» As we were about to leave, another lady –who looked like the manager/owner, asked us why we’re leaving. We told her we didn’t have cash and she just told us to go sit back down because they DO take card.

Chinese donuts were cold. The Hu Tieu Ga Chien came with a side of luke warm soup. Msg content in broth was too much for me. The hu tieu noodles were like phở noodles. The meat was decent. The pickled chili was good. I would not come back again.

The best Mi Trieu Chau in San Jose!!! I think I have found my new favorite restaurant to have breakfast/lunch to add on my list. From the flavorful sauce inside the dried style noodles to the condiments they have on the table to the soup on the side with pork marrow in it! Now thats how you supposed to do it with Mi Trieu Chau! Nam Vang is the worst place to have Mi Kho. I guess thats Cambodian style. And Trieu Chau is more of a Chinese/Vietnamese style. It is the flavor I have been looking for all this time!!! I’m so glad I have finallyyyy found it!

Just left there with my family. I’m never coming back as I found a dead fly in my soup(mi trieu chau). I’m not even freaked out about the fly, just angry about the service. We told them about the fly and the waitress expressed shock and ran into the kitchen and didn’t come out for awhile. Basically no apologies, no response, nothing. Typical Vietnamese(Asian) restaurants. Seems like when there’s actual conflict or wrong doing — the best thing to do is ignore and hope that the customers don’t make a fuss. Well, we didn’t make a fuss since it was pointless except I’m here on Unilocal, letting people know I am never coming back and I’m taking to social media with my fly soup picture that I took. Bön appetit.

I can’t believe I didn’t know this place existed before! Usually I just go to Nam Vang on Tully which is much further and has a parking lot that is always packed(also has no air conditioning). I don’t know why, but my sister and I decided to try this place instead. It was on a weekend, and the place was packed. I got mi trieu chau(dry noodles with a side of soup). The soup has a lot of flavor and it comes with a big pork bone, yummm. I love fatty meat and it had bone marrow too. The noodles were good, but not as good as Nam Vang. Nam Vang soaks more sauce into their noodles or something, it just tastes better but the soup here is better(trade off I guess). The xiu mai(meatball) was bomb, try it! Also order a side of Chinese donuts so you can eat it with the meatball and dip it in your soup. We got two orders, but that was too much for two people. Anyways, if you like Nam Vang I think you’d like this place too.

More flavorful than Nam Vang on Alvin and tully… Much better customer service. The place is tiny but a lot more cleaner than the other place. They also accept credit cards. Wet, dry, yellow noodle or white, everything is tasty here. The only thing is we forgot that we ordered Chinese doughnuts, and it never came out. By the time we left we realized we never got to taste it. Darn it!

Although I’m a regular at Saigon Seafood, I would sometimes eat here for another Hu Tieu fix. The ladies working are very kind and portions are also generous. I would come back here.

If you like nam vang you need to leave and come here. Nam vang on tully is so shitty compared to here! The one on tully is dirty, portions are really small, bathrooms are gross, and I feel like there’s so much msg. I mean it does taste good but if you want a fresher choice you should definitely come to yummy. This place is much cleaner, portions are huge, affordable prices, and everything just taste way more fresh. My favorite thing to order is there NUMBER1. With soup on the side and Chinese donuts :) it is so delicious. Not to mention the bone marrow they have in the soup is amazing 5 stars! Will be a regular here from now on.

I love their hu tieu kho especially because of the broth that comes on the side with a bone in it. I’ve also tried their salted fish fried rice and it’s very flavorful and not overly salty. They offer the salted fish fried rice with chicken or shrimp. You cannot go wrong with these dishes. I’d also have to say that service is very friendly and above average for a vietnamese restaurant.

Horrible service. I’m used to bad service at Asian restaurants but this place is inexcusable. We came here when they were full so we stood there and waited for 20 mins. We were the only ones waiting. During that time we told three different people waitstaffs we are a party of three and waiting. When a table got cleared another group came in and they sat them down right away. We went to complain and they blamed us for not telling them we were waiting. No apologies, nothing. They should not be in business.

A new favorite place for my BF and I for dry noodle! We usually go to Nam Vang since it is closer, but we would definitely drive the extra miles for this place as well. Compared to Nam Vang, the portions are bigger. The bone in the soup is huge and has marrow that you can actually eat! The taste is different as well. It’s more Chinese Vietnamese vs Cambodian Vietnamese. My BF and I like both restaurants. This place has pretty good customer service. The only downfall in my opinion, is that they don’t have pickled peppers like the ones at Nam Vang. The pickled jalapeños just doesn’t do it for me. We’ll definitely come back to this restaurant!

I drive by this spot every week after church and it’s just never enticed me. Maybe it was the gaudy coLorfuL sign that once sat on top of the buiLding that was a compLete turn off… Came here this morning about ten minutes after they opened to have breakfast with my mom & sister– I was surprised by how busy the restaurant aLready was. We ordered: 2 orders of Chinese Donuts House Rice NoodLes with soup on the side House Rice/Egg NoodLes with soup on the side Seafood Chow Fun(wide rice noodLes pan fried) Food was great and the customer service was even better. ALL the dishes were fuLL of fLavor and didn’t need any additonaL tweeking. Chinese donuts are made in house and if you get here early, you are guaranteed to have them freshLy deep fried and piping hot. Just a side note: the pickLed chiLis are amazing; spicy and so addicting. I can aLmost kiLL the jar off by myseLf!!! This is officiaLLy my go to spot for any of my Trieu Chau noodLe cravings!

Hu tieu here is mouthwatering! I ordered with broth on the side. The broth comes with a large bone-in piece of beef that gives it excellent flavor. And then the sauce they place on noodles is bomb. Mixing these together makes for an awesome sensation in your mouth! Portion size is great too.

This place is our favorite to go to when we want noodles! They have the most delicious broth that they serve with the noodles. It’s so flavorful! I cant say much about the service. It’s just mediocre but I don’t expect much anyways from an Asian place. Lol.

Don’t understand why this place is so busy and«well-rated»…given the poor service and low quality of food. Noodle soup was not that great Over charged us and they claim they don’t have receipts… SMH; We paid and quickly left this venue Ordered chinese donut and never brought it out Def not coming back!
