Nancy’s Cleaning Service

At our first meeting Nancy arrived and gave me the, «white glove treatment» — looking for dust bunnies on my floors and pointing out that my kitchen sink had ring stains … she explained to me that her cleaning service would do a thorough job and use microfiber dusting cloths. I have hardwood floors throughout my home and use miele vacuums with attachment heads that swivel. She was extremely reluctant to agree to use my vacuums, wanting to use her «back pack» style vacuum canister. We noticed immediately thatthis motley cleaning crew would cut corners and skip entire portions of flooring. These large portions of flooring were not vacuumed or mopped. Despite Nancy’s selling promises, I ended up supplying the crew with microfiber cloths each time. The final straw that broke the camels back was when I returned home to discover that my daughter’s fish aquarium had been knocked over onto the carpeted floor. The carpet was drenched with water and the surface of the table was ruined! The cleaner who toppled the aquarium didn’t even bother to mop up the water with towels let alone leave me a note to explain what had happened (the poor fish!). I put a stop payment on the check to Nancy’s.
The owner never did call me to express her concern over this. My Grade: F …
this F stands for false promises.

Quite disappointed as when Nancy came for the estimate she took notes and stated those things would be done (move sofa vacuum under, door handles and prints wiped down) neither were done. Our bathroom sinks and counters had white residue left all over them, I paid $ 20 extra for the refrigerator to be cleaned out and it was partly done several shelves left untouched. I contacted her to talk as I felt like she did not uphold her word, no return call.

We used Nancy’s service for years after having moved to Orange County from the San Francisco Bay Area where we used multiple services. Our Orange County relatives had used Nancy for years and her service came highly recommended. It’s been our best experience by far in terms of cleaning services. It is a pleasure to work with the owner, Nancy, who is very accommodative in terms of scheduling. And she is always willing to talk to you personally about specific needs on a weekly basis. The service is also affordable and thus valuable, compared to other cleaning services in the area. The crews do an outstanding and thorough job in a very efficient amount of time. And they are very careful when cleaning around fragile belongings around the house – we’ve never had a problem.

THEY BREAK YOUR STUFF
I had this service for 2 years. They are adamant that you put things away sitting on your counters, etc., but I had ONE thing out for a Christmas decoration and they broke it then lied that the cat did it after admitting to my husband that they did it. This was the third thing they broke; think bulls in a china shop.
Only redeeming quality is they have a team that comes in and cleans everything in an hour which is a nice business model but I think other places have this too.
I also sincerely doubt that all of the people who work here are legal citizens so not sure if customers are guilty of hiring illegals? Most of the team does not speak any English.
Finally, dealing with the bully owner is a real pain. She will do her best to steamroll you into paying her more, changing the time you requested for service, whatever suits her.
There are better companies.
