El Pollo Loco

Food is fine BUT they use a stinky, nauseating cleaner on the restrooms and it wafts out into the eating area. Is there a manager or owner watching this? Does anyone care?

Shrimp Burrito had 5 shrimp through out the entire burrito. Items in clumps and not spread out evenly, was also split at one end. Not the quality I see at my local eatery.

Got shorted a crunchy taco tonight. Very disappointing. I was the only one in the drive through. I ordered a salad and 6 crunchy tacos fpr me and my husband and they gave me 5. I came to this spot instead of golden lantern because their reviews were worse. I will be sure to check my food. For $ 20 and one less taco, I will go elsewhere next time.

Hey assholes, next time your debit card machine breaks down how about you put a sign near the drive-​thru so I don’t get stuck in it my entire lunch break

This is my go-​to spot for chicken. I usually order the drive thru. Service is speedy, friendly and food never disappoints.

I have been going to this particular El Pollo Loco for YEARS! I was taking Permit lessons over at the Ford dealership up the road, and would walk down the hill to eat at this el pollo loco. When I was younger always a great experience! Have been coming back ever SINCE!
I have always eaten inside. Never have used the drive through. It always used to be the SAME women inside at the cash register. She was always so nice and had great attention to detail! if she was still there I am sure this would be a 5 Star review. but this review isnt about service. typically this restaurant is great with service always good food.
all was GREAT till the last time I was there. I came in late afternoon on my lunch break. Like I said I have been coming here for years! I walked up to the register an was about to order my food, I always hesitate before I order food anywhere. no matter how long I have been going there. I like to look around and see the restaurant run and at this el pollo loco and many others like it. There is an open Kitchen, you can see the food being made. I looked behind the person at the register. I see a man mopping the floors. as I am about to start ordering my order that i always get. the Delicious Chicken Avocado Quesadilla Combo instead of chips a Loco Side Salad substitute. I WITNESS WITH MY OWN EYES! this man go from mopping the floors to literally putting the mop in the bucket, to grabbing tongs and start COOKING CHICKEN. NO HAND WASHING NO SANITATION NOT EVEN A HESITATION TO THINK ABOUT CLEANING HIS HANDS IT WAS LIKE HE HAD DONE THIS A MILLION TIMES! I instantly started raising hell! i Hold 4 Food Handlers Cards. OC, San Diego, San Bernardino & Riverside. I told the guy at the register that, that was a health code violation in all aspects. and that he needed to get a manager an let her know what has happened. weather the employee touched the chicken or not. he went from cleaning the floors to cooking. no way shape or form good for a customer to see. the manager came up to me. speaking very little english, i told her the situation pointing at the employee still cooking chicken! she didn’t seem to be surprised or anything she looked at me straight faced no words like she didn’t hear me. I didnt want to waste my time. I told her she needed to dispose of that chicken an to tell that employee to wash his hands and to train him on the health codes because that was a violation. I ate no lunch that day.
I walked out Not looking to return to this particular location again.

really this would be a 1 star review. but in the past its been nothing but greatness. maybe there is new ownership or maybe the owner got lazy but i cannot return after seeing the things i did. I was DISGusted!
Think Twice about eating here. Really

Needed a quick bite to eat before heading to Grandma’s. This place looked like a hurricane hit it! I had to pass five tables before we found a clean one… I counted five employees behind the counter? Floors dirty and salsa bar had spills all over it. Cleanliness obviously not a priority. Not need to talk about the food… a place this dirty should not be considered.

Good food, hard working employees it’s a good place to enjoy a meal. I will came back and I would recommend it, I give them 4 stars because they actually close earlier and you have to get your food on the drive by.

El Pollo Loco restaurants are hit and miss. Sometimes you get great service and food and other times their food and service is lousy. More often than not, they mess up your order.
Recently El Pollo Loco has been discontinuing their affiliation with Foster Freeze which in itself is bad news because El Pollo Loco had one of the best shakes in fast food. This is a strike to me! There is no reason to get rid of something that your customers love!
Normally I get one of the following meals: Original Pollo Bowl or Traditional burrito or a Chicken Salad. El Pollo Loco’s beans are lousy and if you get it in the Original Pollo Bowl it will make the rice soggy and tasteless. Their beans in itself is tasteless and really should not be on the menu! It takes away from the overall flavor of the product. I almost always request NO BEANS.
When El Pollo Loco was new in the 1990s, their chicken was never burnt and was broiled just right. Today it is a given they will burn the chicken. Eating burnt chicken with charcoaled edges is not good. Their house salsa is hit and miss too. Normally, I love their house salsa but occasionally you will get a rancid, watery salsa. I also love their Jalapeño sauce which comes in packets. I think they should bottle this and sell it in retail stores.
The reason why I gave this El Pollo Loco a 2-​star rating is that they always forget to include condiments like salsa, forks, spoons or Cilantro dressing for your chicken salad. This occurs not only at this location for a few others too.

Even before the gluten free movement, I was going to el Pollo Loco. I love the chicken, always hot and seasoned well. Its nice to eat fast food that is not fried and hiding tons of scary ingredients sure to give me cancer years from now. I have to admit, on a hungry day, I can easily drive thru and grab a leg for a buck and satisfy my tummy while maintain my figure. Thi sis an easy location to get in and out of no worries about fender benders.

Five star chicken, maybe the best I’ve ever had. Not really a fan of the sides or anything else but with chicken this amazing & reasonably priced the only other thing I need is a diet coke on ice and I’m ohhh so happy.

Tried El Pollo for the first time. Went through the drive thru… WOW, i tried the Carne Asada quasadilla and a crunchy taco.
The Quasadilla was burnt and tasted bad. The taco was OK, would of liked to try some of their salsa but it was frozen!!! didnt even bother trying to let it defrost. I will never spend $ 10.00 at this place again. I will continue to eat at the Costco’s food court when in that part of town!!!
