I’m not a huge fan of gorditas, papusas, and arepas, which are basically the same dish but from different countries. They basically differ in the food you put in them. Still, I decided to give this place a try, cause my grandmother loves this chain, and I was pleasantly surprised. The chicken mole and chicken pibil gorditas were super flavorful. It was a messy experience, and the gorditas seemed a little expensive for their size/portions, but they were totally worth every penny and napkin. I’ll continue visiting this chain regularly. They also had aguas frescas, like every good Mexican restaurant should. My grandmother was right. Oh, and they pretty much already have the filling made and make the corn gordita as you order, so it’s super fast service.
