Drive all the way to the end of the road, until you almost get to the roundabout. Look for the small Tee Jays sign on the right and go in the small open door under it. Follow the strung up lights for the best Mexican food you’ve ever had. If I had a dollar for every time I drove by Tee Jays in case it was open… I’d have enough to buy lunch for everyone. I have no idea when they’re open, but I know that when they are, they’ll close early because they ran out of food. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The food is fresh and even though it might take a while(because the only guys working are Tee and Jay), it’s worth the wait! I can’t forget to mention the freshly fried tortilla chips and their house pico de gallo. There are a few tables out around back to enjoy the view of the water on a nice day.

Quirky little cantina in the basement of the Oddfellows Hall, with seriously delicious good eats. Friendly guys in the kitchen whipped up some excellent tacos carne asada, pork adobo burritos, and even smoky duck tacos. Pico de gallo and other salsas were fresh and made from scratch. They made their own chips as well. Everything was excellent, and prices were very good — the most expensive combos were $ 12, and everything was very filling. We’ll definitely be back!

I was visiting from out of town and stopped by tee-jays based on the majority of reviews. Ill start by saying the place is a dive and i know that in todays rating system everyone thinks dive means amazing but the level of service was absolutely horrendous. My family of 3 walked in at 2:20 for a late lunch and ordered a few minutes later. 1 hour plus later my order was not ready due to the fact that their were 2 morons(I’m not sure wether owners or employees) working behind the counter. 45 minutes in the guy walked behind the counter and asked if the receipt he had was my order even though he was the guy who took my order i asked whats the hold up was there some sort of confusion that is the reason for us waiting for so long and he said simply«yes» no apology, just yes. I would never wait in Seattle for this type of service but i really wanted to see why this location was rated number 3.5 stars. There was no reason for them to not keep us informed of this screw up but their business decision was to just keep serving everyone else in the building except us. After the place was left with a group of 4 that came in 1 hour after us and my family AND I were still thinking«oh well, everyone make mistakes» they began to serve the other group and i got up and said«AREYOUKIDDINGGUYSWHATTHEHELLISGOINGON, THERESNOONEELSELEFTTOSCREWUP». I asked for my money back and the guy with grey hair said«he wants his money back to the other employee who said how much did you pay», Really? This wasn’t the local Taco Bell that has teenage kids working that made a mistake and didn’t apologize, this was 2GROWNASSMEN that treated me and my family so poorly with no apology. This place may have been the best food of all time but how can you equate the 2 idiots that were cooking with absolutely no customer service skills what so ever. DONTBOTHERWITHTHISDIVE unless you want to wait an average of 50 minutes FORHORRIBLESERVICE.

Do not miss! Follow the delicious aroma to the basement and you will have a taco experience. We tried beef, chicken, and pork tacos and a potato enchilada. $ 18 for all that. The tacos had tons of filling– the pork was smoky good and the beef had great seasoning. The taco shells were cooked to perfection. Just crisp enough so they wouldn’t break when you bite them. The enchilada sauce was the most flavorful I ever had. The quesadillas looked great but have to save that experience for another visit. There is also outdoor seating on the rustic deck with a charming bay view. If you expect ambiance, you’re in the wrong place, but if you want a taste sensation these guys will fix you up.

Located in the basement of the Oddfellow’s Hall in Eastsound, WA, Tee-Jays is a must-find mexican restaurant. It is only open on Thursdays, Fridays and some Saturdays, so you need to plan ahead. My family ate here for dinner one night and we immediately decided to return for lunch the next day. Tee-Jays is great for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. We had excellent potato enchiladas, eggplant tacos, bean and rice burritos, garbonzo bean burrito, Huevos rancheros, and excellent house-made corn chips and salsa. We hope to eat here again when we get to return to Orcas Island.
