Absolutely outstanding in every way. we had a very small brick job on a back yard patio. dalfar was listed in bay area checkbook and ben returned my call within mins and made an appt to come right over to see the job. a number of the other contractors who i called did not even return my phone calls! his bid was reasonable and more importantly he did an outstanding job in a short period of time and turns out to be one of the nicest workmen we have ever been fortunate to find at our home here in piedmont. as past president of our home owners association i can truly say he rates 10 stars on a basis of 1 – 5 stars for Unilocal.and yes the quality of the job exceeded our expectations.

We called a number of contractors about coming out to replace the small stretch of concrete between the sidewalk and our porch that had been broken up by tree roots. Mostly we got the same frustrating answers — the project’s too small for us; we don’t do concrete; well, if you want to replace the cement with designer stone imported from Italy…
Our experience with Dalfar Concrete was completely the opposite. Pen was available to come out the day after we called (it being winter probably helped, but still…). He showed up on time, gave us a prompt estimate, and started the work immediately. He even fixed things that weren’t on our radar, like re-​grading that stretch of our walk so that the water no longer pools anywhere. The evening after he saw our project, he called us to say that he’d been thinking about a way to make it look better and to give us a suggestion for another way to fix some issues, and it ended up being a great solution.
The result looks great, the work is affordable and he’s friendly and responsive. Apparently he does a lot of muni work for sidewalks and other projects, so he’s licensed and very familiar with permit requirements and other matters. He’s bidding a project for our neighbors’ driveway right now.
