Enterprise Rent-A-Car

I’ve rented from some local places before and been beyond impressed. Enterprise at this location was better, especially when it looked like the manager was the one getting me the car.
That said, trying to sell someone on $ 20 a day insurance, Way too expensive for the value that would provide.
The other element was to fairly rude employees. When you have one employee that’s primarily having more personal conversations on the phone and says «sit down, we will get you in a moment». There’s a reason I’m standing, it’s called «I’m in a rush and I want to be clear that I’m not here to hang out at enterprise for the day.»
Then at the end of the day when you call up and you know you’re going to be there three minutes after the hour and the person is not overly helpful or friendly. I’m glad they’re paid hourly, I don’t like spending an hour in bay area traffic. There’s doing business personally, and there’s just checking in and checking out your job. There were a few too many employees like that at this location.

This place will seriously rip you off if you don’t ask questions. I came here for a rented car due to my car being involved in a hit and run. I had a 30 per day max for my insurance to cover and when I went the guy said they only had one vehicle that they could rent to me. It would cost me 6 dollars a day. I took it because it was my only option. I called literally two days later to change cars and mysteriously they had cars out the yin yang to rent to me. I spoke with cooperate and she said that the salesman must of only been trying to make an extra profit because theres always extra cars. When I went to take the car back he asked a million and one questions as to why I didn’t want the car. This place is ok but do your research prior to coming to this establishment.
& not to add they gave me a car that had maintained lights on making my long commutes were somewhat scary. When I asked why the maintenance lights were on he said they forgot to turn them off. Whatev

Customer service was great at this location. However the car it’s self had mechanical issues and the 800 number customer service was bad. They did not take care of the car and wanted me to drive it around to different locations to get another car. Well after three attempts at different locations no replacement vehicle available and had to take my chances and drive it 400 miles back to the original location. It was a nerve racking vacation. Not using them again!

This poor location deals with a lot of unhappy customers — folks whose cars are in the shop at various dealers in the area. And they deal with it brilliantly.
Seriously the best customer service I’ve had in a long time, and in a lot of different scenarios. They are warm, pleasant, efficient, kind. They remember their customers’ names.
A breathe of fresh air. How many times have you rented a car and thought, «Gosh, I want to write this place a review?» Um, yeah, never before — til this location. ;)

You may wait for a while, line was out the door, literally, but they do provide good customer service… I would probably rent from here again, just know that I would be sitting there for a while, min an hour, before leaving.

Brandon was working on a very busy day. They got bombarded. He acknowledged me every time he walked in the door and said they would get to me and I felt like I mattered. My parents were in town and I was late and just so stressed. I was just trying not to be rude or demanding as we all can be at times. Brandon broke his service to me in chunks. He multi-​tasked. He actually helped 3 people at once in this manner and they were all happy.
When Brandon showed me to the full size car I ordered it was actually a upgrade but to a HUGE SUV. Free. Maybe they had extra cars, I don’t know. But he didn’t have to do that. He also told me to bring the car back with ½ tank instead of ¾.
I have never liked enterprise. Every other time I have been it has been lame. I was always just a number or a person at the DMV. But this time was different. I better not find out Brandon gets in trouble for being generous because I have a new perspective on the company. Next time I rent it will be from Enterprise and it is because of him. Everything else about the company is kinda just ok. I would promote the guy. I work in tech and hope to start my own company in a few years (like everyone else in the bay). I doubt I could ever afford Brandon but if I could I’d hire him for executive management. He just gets it.
Personally I think he is way to talented and personable to be working at Enterprise. He should be business development at Über. Thanks man. My family was super comfortable in the car and my mom was very thankful. You made me look like a better son than I really am!

I can’t tell you how frustrated I am with this enterprise location! My car is being serviced across the street at the Ford Store. Ford calls in to reserve a rental and I get there after 11, after the Ford shuttle driver dropped me off and Enterprise agent tells me «oh it’s a pick up». I’m are you kidding me! I can’t have a pick up. That’s horrible! He says they had a weekend promo and all the cars are gone. I was pissed! He walks me across the street and shows me this monster that I’m supposed to climb in a dress with no step to get up in there. Oh then there’s less than a ¼ tank of gas. So on the way home I stop at Costco and have to get help to load the truck. I get home rushing to unload becuz I have a 3:00 hair appt in Dublin. Soon as I get on the freeway I notice the gas meter is almost laying on E. Pissed again I have to get off the freeway and get gas to make it to Dublin. With having to stop and the traffic at this time I’m 30 minutes late for my appt and cannot have everything done. UGH!
So today a week later car is still in the shop and Ford calls Enterprise for us to bring us a better car. We drive a Ford Edge and asked for a SUV since we’re going to have company for the holiday. They bring us a Hyundai. I’m so over these idiots!

I called to arrange a pick up for a rental car. The young man on the phone was very difficult to understand — it would help if he spoke more clearly and enunciated his words. He may have been busy, but I had to ask him to repeat himself several times. He said the problem was my phone, but I had excellent reception.
We set up a time for pick up, which was pleasant, and then he hung up the phone without saying goodbye. Call me old fashioned, but I still say hello and goodbye on the phone. It’s an important part of customer service. I’ve certainly had better service on the phone.
Happily, Gail picked me up and she was 5 stars out of 5 stars. Friendly, all smiles, and so helpful, she was awesome and I liked her right away.
I got to the shop, and you would have thought it was a funeral. The three people at the counter acted like they were exceedingly busy with just 3 people there. Not one of them smiled, not one of them said their name to anybody, not one exhibited any level of friendliness or helpfulness. They seemed focused on efficiency to just get people the heck out of their small office. I’m a really friendly person (I am a librarian and my job is helping people and I love being friendly and helpful), so it’s really easy to just be friendly with me. I respond well.
No information was offered to me, when I asked if I could have a small SUV I waited in silence for a long time, and then an employee told the nameless woman helping me that Progressive would only pay for the smallest car. She eventually told me I could just get the smallest car class and I’d have to pay extra if I wanted anything else, not once bothering to make eye contact with me. She just stared at the computer screen dejectedly. Then she grabbed keys to a car, clearly giving me no choice of car. She took me out and mumbled «is a chevy cruze ok?» No, no it is not. A chevy is what hit my car, I’m not going to want a Chevy today. She went back and grabbed another set of keys, again not bothering to give me a choice even though they had plenty of cars available. Then walked me back outside and asked if a Toyota Corolla would be ok.
It would have been so easy to just offer me a couple cars to choose from, and would have taken less time, and I would have been so much happier as a customer. And it does not cost you anything to start out by smiling and acting helpful. I do it every day at my job, and I find that 95% of the time, people relax and smile back, and it’s just that much nicer of a day. Sure, you’ll get crazy mad people sometimes, but don’t act like you’re at a funeral or like you hate people, or you’ll really get irritated, stressed out, unhappy customers.
This place really needs some training on good customer service if they want to survive.

Extremely helpful and personable staff. The folks there always seem like they are having fun and are very friendly. I wish more businesses had service professionals like that. Thank you C.J. and I think Xavier was the other man there who helped me, but not sure if I am remembering his name correctly.
Just make sure you lock down the price you see online with a reservation before you show up.

This place is EXTREMELY unprofessional. I had a very unpleasant rental experience during the time my car was in the body shop. First it took them 45 minutes to pick me up after giving me a «15 min» eta. I was given wrong information on the way the «deposit» worked, I was put in a car with expired tags, my card was charged not once, but TWICE without being notified. I was sleazily talked into extra insurance I didn’t need (due to already having full coverage, I was covered in any car), The car itself seemed to have an alignment issue and veered all over the freeway at speeds of 60mph. Spoke to the asst. manager (Xavier) who made promises to credit my acct. for the «inconvenience and miscommunication «, then failed to follow through. The assistant manager called me to follow up the day I returned the car, then I called 2 days later to follow up on that «credit» and he tells me he had no idea the car was returned. But you personally called me! 7 days later I have not received a credit or any further communication from them. The staff is not properly trained, there seems to be a lack of communication with not only customers but each other as well, management makes promises they don’t keep and go back on their word. I will NOT be utilizing their service ever again!

Excellent customer service. Friendly staff. They provide free rides to pick up the car and will drop you off after you return the rental. Will definitely be renting from this location again.

Nice, friendly and very helpful staff. I got hospitalized twice while renting a car and they picked-​up the car and closed the rental agreement. Only good thing to say about this place.
They pick you up when you want to rent and drive you home after the rent.
I can absolutely recommend this Enterprise car rental, the only right place to rent a car.

Jimmy at Enterprise helped me on 4÷15÷15. He had great customer service skills, was very professional, explained everything to me perfectly, washed the car for me when I asked and then had on my way. Thank you Jimmy! :)

Rented a 4-​door Elantra for 2.5 weeks due to my car was in the shop. Friendly customer service at this location. Car was clean and in good condition. Only slight complaint was the smell. I guess the person who rented this car prior to me was a smoker. =/

This place has zero compassion and doesn’t live up to the hype of the commercials. I was stranded with my 21 month old daughter when my car decided to stay stuck in park and not shift gears. Even worse, my phone was about to die and I didn’t have my charger with me. After I told the first rep my situation, he seemed willing to cooperate and help me get a rental. I had to call him back so I could look up my Geico policy and claim number to get the Enterprise discount. Mind you, a baby is crying in my ear and I am now at 20%. When I call back, a new and unimproved rep answered and started playing 50 questions with me after I had to reiterate my emergency. She needed proof of address in the form of a pay stub and a current utility bill. Who keeps current bills on them? Seriously? She was not trying to give me a break and wanted to be Strictly By The Book Sally. Have a heart, lady! Make an exception. You’d think a policy, claim and pay stub would be enough to rent one of their rinky dink ass cars, but no! She kept putting me on hold – now at 17%!! I even asked her could she login to my PGE account online and print up a copy of my bill with proof of my current address. Reasonable and helpful given the circumstances, right? Put on hold again I assume so she can ask her manager (you need advice on printing something up right quick for someone??)…Now at 10% and a big, fat no. She rabbled on about them having an audit a while back which in essence caused them to toughen up their «We don’t give a shit about your dire situation» policy. Yeah… Totally understand – not – hang up! I called a cab and was home an hour later. Thanks a lot Enterprise! «We pick you up – if you got bills and stubs on you right at that moment!» Should be the one on Orchard’s new motto…

CJ was very professional. He was pleasant and conversational. He apologized for something that was not his doing. He ensured me that I would get my refundable deposit back. Everyone else in the (trailer converted into an office) was unprofessional and playing on their cell phones.
The car was beyond filthy. I’m mean disgusting. They offered to clean it but by that time they had wasted so much of My time it wasn’t worth it. It would’ve taken a year to properly clean it anyway. Also why would you give short person a caravan to drive anyway. When they drove me back to my destination, the second car was a disaster as well. All in all I’m highly disappointed. I’ll just say I’m glad I don’t love in that area. Ghetto and shady.

Update:
Dropping off my car was an easy experience and after a small wait they were able to drive me back to the body shop where my car was. Overall, it was a 4 star experience.

The staff at this Enterprise location was very helpful and accommodating. I recently had my vehicle at a local repair shop. Half way through my rental my car needs changed and they were willing and able to work with me to accommodate me and get me into a different vehicle that better fit my temporary needs until my Jeep was fixed. I would especially commend the assistant manager, Joey Lancaster, super friendly and helpful!

Skeevy. That’s the best word to describe this janky, Quonset hut. The people working inside are very nice and helpful. I was picked up in a shuttle van from the collision center that reeked of weed, not saying the driver was high but someone had smoked pot in that van recently.
The cars are basic, kia, nissan etc. nothing fancy, as in don’t-even-think-of-asking-for-anything-fancy. My insurance only covered a mid size so I paid extra for an upgrade to a full size = nissan altima. I had to go through 3 cars before I found one that looked clean, it had just been washed. I had the car for 4 long, stinky days. The console was grimy with fingerprints, it smelled like cigarettes and cologne and when you turned on the A/​C your face was assaulted with the smell. My son was sitting in the back seat and asked me «mom, what is this?» I turned around to see him holding a used Q-​Tip in his hand! it. was. disgusting.

Ever gotten bad customer service by association? My boyfriend had some difficulty renting a car from these folks last week and I had to get added to the paperwork the following day. I was greeted curtly and sent away quickly. I may have said two sentences to the woman yet she never smiled. My three-​year-​old was witness to this awkwardness.
Red tape and ‘tude are not a winning combination.
