Hertz Rent A Car

What a joke. I suggest going to enterprise rent a car. Over an hour of waiting. Line is out the door. They don’t communicate with each other. They are rude and unprofessional.
Instead of receiving any service. They seemed bothered by our presence.
Customer service is completely absent here.

Very fast! Helpful staff. I have rented here a few times. I am surprised by all the bad reviews.

This particular review is for the Hertz customer service by an employee named Chris.
We needed a 4 wheel drive vehicle and he made it happen. He worked very hard and called multiple locations to get the car delivered and ready for us.
Unfortunately we had to cancel last minute.
We will be going back to Hertz for our rental car needs because of Chris ’ s great customer service

Horrible service. SLOW and unwelcoming. Went to pick up a rental since my car was being fixed. No one greeted or acknowledged me as I step in their portable office. One person was being helped before me. Person at front desk had to keep running back and forth to manager’s office to ask questions to whoever that was sitting on their butts in there. 15 minutes later finally got some kind of acknowledgement. I could imagine if more than 2 people were waiting for service I think you would have to come back the next day to be helped if you were the 3^rd or 4^th person waiting for service. Obviously customer service is not a must. Do not go to this location if you want fast and courteous service.

Service sucks!!! Overcharging ass company. Had a rental for one day and charging me 2 days of damage waiver insurance!

My absolute worst rental experience to date. I made an online reservation which was supposed to give me 45% off $ 2600. I called the main «contact us» number to ensure I would receive my discount at pick up.
When I arrive for pick up there is no discount so I have to cancel the reservation, make another one, get a taxi to another location to pick up another car. On hold with their main help number for roughly 20 minutes with zero resolution.
Just to check I call to make a regular phone reservation and compare it to the exact same reservation online for the «prepay to get 45% off» your rental. Guess what? They are identical. The promotion is a sham!!!
Every single hertz employee I spoke to or came across was moronic, unhelpful with the shittiest customer service possible.
The irony is that a reservation at a third party website costs less than the original quote and it’s at guess where? HERTZ!!! Never again. My one star is actually a zero.

Honestly if I could give a no star rating I would for this place. My wife got rear ended and AAA got us a rental while the repairs were getting done to our car. The body shop called Hertz to come pick us up and drive us to the Hertz office. Hertz told the body shop they would be there to pick us up in 10 minutes. Well… an hour and a half later they finally picked us up. When we got in the office there were 2 people ahead of us. They got to us fairly quick. And got us though the paperwork in a decent amount of time. However the counter person said that his associate had to vacuum out the rental car. Well… after an hour of waiting they finally bring the car up and we got the dirtiest car ever… the inside was so so clean… but very unhappy with the service and the car.

I had two different experiences.
(1) Getting my car was a horrendous experience, starting with the shuttle service. And I understood that I couldn’t use the Gold service the first time, but I did have a confirmed reservation. The process shouldn’t have taken so long or been so complicated.
(2)Checking-in was easier than I ever expected. Actually, it was awesome. We really appreciated being driven to the airport in the same car we had rented. And having an emailed receipt was much more efficient than waiting for a printed receipt.

Came here to swap a sub standard rental from SFO and while I got what I wanted in the end the customer service here is not very professional or friendly. They emphasized at every turn what they could not do for me while I was only interested in what they COULD do to help me out.

They PMd me and asked for my Rental Record number. I did so and still haven’t heard back. The day of the rental I also left a message at the corporate office. Someone was supposed to follow up within 48 hours and never did. It looks like they just don’t have their act together.

We were initially confused as to where the entrance was but we eventually found it.
The young man helped my mom with the rental process and he was super friendly and very professional. My mom had small talk with him and he did a great job interacting with her. I am always aware of these types of customer service because of the industry I’m in.
I thought the customer service was on point and we were happy to be in and out of the rental place in 15mins. Very impressed.

There was a funky stench in the car, and even hours after placing freshener in it, it still stunk very badly. The interior of the car wasn’t all that clean, either. The service here stinks as well. Neither of the employees at the counter were friendly at all; no smile, good morning or how are you.
The only reason we rented here is due to an accident we were in, and this is the company our insurance uses for rentals, so we didn’t have a choice. And you would think that with the staff already having knowledge of the unfortunate circumstances bringing you to their office, that they would be especially friendly. How disappointing.

Horrible service, my insurance company reserved a rental for me at this location. I get there and the rep didn’t even bother to look in the computer to see if I had a reservation, straight shot me down. Rude service. Didn’t even get a hello when I walked in.

One star goes for the nice workers at the counters, everything else sucks.
The office is crap. Its worst than HS portables when they were remodeling the school. Its all broken down, tight squeeze and smells like crap.
Cars are all OLD. I had two cars at this place and both were 2013 vehicles with 50k + miles. The car was so nasty inside (not from garbage, just from nasty ware and tare) The reason why I got two cars was because the first one smelt SO bad that I couldn’t deal with it. I only chose this place because the insurance company sent me here. From the reviews, sounds like thats the only reason why this place is alive.
They had like NO cars when I went there. One car went in, another went out within minutes still drenched in water from when it went through the «car wash», more like they just hosed it down.

Horrible place to rent a car. The service was slow, but the lady at the counter was nice. The convertible was dented and scratched all around. I would not rent from the place again.

I called on a Saturday to swap out my compact for a minivan on a Monday and when I got there I still had to wait for 20 mins for the guy to drive it to the front! No Good!

If you’re like us, you probably came here because your insurance company is paying for your rental car. The five phone calls and two hours on hold raise the suspicion that customer service may not be their forte. Upon arrival at this junkyard, you push aside your nagging doubts and hope that Hertz, being a big name company, is still into customer service and promoting a positive reputation, even at an insurance rental location… but, sadly… the staff couldn’t care less.
This place aspires to be the third world country of the rental car business. The «office» is more like a gas station garage, greasy and unwelcoming, with the occasional attendant whisking by while muttering «someone will be with you» and avoiding eye contact. No one responds to the newly arrived customers asking, then pleading, for assistance. Once you realize that you are at their mercy, your eyes dart around the perimeter of this shack and you see the customers who came in, perhaps days or weeks before you, waiting, now comatose, the hope of ever leaving this place drained from their empty eyes.
The car you ask? Sure. One that was just returned, uncleaned, with the last customer’s papers, license, and some strange smell still in it, gas tank not filled, windows splotted with bug guts.
Caveat Renter. You are about to learn what «Traveling at the speed of Hertz» really means.

If I could give zero stars I would. Please tell me why when my husband showed up to get a rental car that he reserved two weeks prior why there were NO rental cars available. There were five other customers in front of him and LOTS and LOTS of yelling going on in this store. All of the other customers said they reserved and were gold members which means you basically show up and are ready to go which no one got to do. we had ased for a standard that was full size. We weren’t picky on what we got as long as it fit 4 people and their suitcases. When it was my husbands turn they told him he could have a minivan and sent him out to go get it. They couldn’t find it after he did the paperwork and he had to go back in and wait for another cehicle to come in. If they had this many reservations i don’t understand why they didn’t borrow more from othe stores and have them ready. Management shrugged it off and said they get a lot of returns in the morning and by the afternoon they have plenty of cars left. So if you are picking up in the morning… you may want to look at another rental company… because you will risk waiting an hour or more to get a rental car.

This place was great and all bc of Margo. I was running late and she got me a ride to the terminal. Great service and an all star in Margo!

I’m already having a bad day with the inconvenience of my car needing a major fix. Well the hertz employee Audry picked us up, she seemed tired her social skills need some improvements tho. My biggest pet peeve is the lack of customer service. Shelia, The lady that helped us was very rude and eager to get off work. I know this because as she was helping me she kept talking about how she was ready to get off, that she is going to be late meeting with her friend. As she helped us she kept repeating her self and asking e same question over and over after we had just told her our answer. She even had some one else do a walk around the car because she just wanted to leave. She was just not interested in pleasing a customers needs. Disappointed in the employees customer service.
