East Bay Frame & Axle

As much as I wanted to leave 5 stars I can’t. I took my car here spent $ 2,500 and when it was picked up it could not go into 4^th or 5^th gear. I took it straight to a transmission shop to fix it and they wanted to charge me $ 200 and said the tranny needed to be rebuilt. So I paid $ 1,400 to have it done and very sadly the problem was not fixed. Spending this much money you would think it would drive good… well after working on it with my Dad I think this shop damaged the steering column removing the sub frame. I will have to try and replace that next but $ 500 is a lot of money… :(FYI we have tried adjusting everything I’m quite devastated. I just don’t understand how you take your car to fix something and come out with another problem. It feels impossible to fix.

First starting coming here as kid with my dad who owned a garage and auto machine shop. It’s 60 plus years later now and I still come here knowing the work will be done right and at a fair price. We’ve had a number of motorhomes over the years and I have always been happy with the work they’ve done.
When we were in trouble on a back road in the Sierras I called these guys and they told me how to handle it and get motorhome back home safely. They have my trust and gratitude..

I took my 34″ motorhome here for an alignment after getting new tires. I scheduled an appointment about a week ahead of time. I had picked their brain for a recommended shock brand while making the appointment, and I am happy with their choice over the one I was looking into. The rig rides great.
I got there in the morning, they aligned it and installed the shocks I supplied. The employees were really personable and I just hung out in their break room while they did the work, which was pretty fast, and their price was very fair.
If I need this kind of work on my truck, car or motorhome in the future, they will be doing it!

We were totally satisfied with their efficiency in ordering and installing needed parts. They allowed us to park our Rv in their lot while waiting for parts. The labor charge was more than reasonable. I would recommend this company without reservation.

The other review says good customer service I strongly disagree. The first attempt to go there happened to be during my lunch hour. I was told to come back later. I understand everyone needs lunch but if your shop is open for lunch you should be available, if not close for lunch. When I did get work done there they made it seem I was lucky to PAY them to work on my vehicle. I was told «they were always busy.» I did get an alignment done there. After the alignment I realized the tires desperately needed to be replaced. So I did so. Then I needed an adjustment. I carried it back. I got nothing but flack. They said «why did you not get your tires prior to the alignment?» They checked it out prior to them aligning it did not mention how badly the tires where worn. One employee was cursing about now they have to do another alignment, on and on. I decided then this was not a shop I wanted to work on my vehicle or pay to give me grief. I left and went to another shop to have the adjustment done.

If there was ever an appropriate time to thank a company via Unilocal it would be now and it would be this company.
When I went through all of the run around with the dealership who sold me a bad warranty, this company was there to help me every step of the way. They answered every question I had.
They truly represented me in exemplary customer service.
Not only are they great with customer service but they do great work too. Being a repair shop their work should be at the fore front. It is and I’m driving around today to prove it.
I couldn’t be more thankful and appreciative for all the hard work they put into dealing with my warranty issue. If it wasn’t for them I would have been lost.
Their workshop is also exceptionally clean. Cleanliness is the first thing I look for in a repair shop and this would be the example I would base any car repair experience on.
Seriously do not hesitate to bring your shock, spindle, frame or axle problem here. You will not be steered wrong.
