Harjeet Ghuman – State Farm Insurance Agent

Harjeet Ghuman and his lackeys are a joke. State Farm is a great insurance company, but Harjeet is worthless.
When I transferred to California I had been with SF for about 3 years. I had a bunch of loyalty and good driver discounts. However, Harjeet decided he wanted to close my account and reopen it under his name. Which caused me to lose all of my discounts. It took me six months of «dealing» with him to get them back.
I was rear ended on my way to work one morning, and when I called to file the claim I was told I have to call the «main office» to file the claim. Okay, then why do I need you?
Three months into dealing with the rear-​end claim I finally get a call from his office and they ask «We haven’t heard from you in a while. How are things going?» So I ask them if they were referencing the car accident. The lady on the line was surprised and had no idea I was in an accident. Seriously?! You call to ask me how things are going, but have no idea that I have an open claim?
Now, I have moved again. Thankfully far away from this horrible business man and his lackeys. However, its been three months and I still can’t get my policies updated and his face off my account. Why? Cause he wont send the papers needed to transfer the account. I don’t even live in CA anymore. Yet, my renter’s and vehicle policy still say I do even though I have called him, my new agent, and updated my info four times on the online site.
State Farm is the only insurance company to offer OEM parts. Which is why I have stayed. However, due to this man and his lackeys I will be transferring to a different insurance company at the end of the month.

I was referred to this office by a family member after having a bad experience with my old company. I was happy to find that state farm prices were competitive to online quotes i had gotten, but it was much more convenient to come into an office and work with someone face to face, especially when they were so nice and had my best interest in mind! They worked with my college student income to get me the best insurance for my buck… five stars!

Harjeet has been my agent for a few years now, and I have nothing but good things to say. He’s never pushy with his sales, and I appreciate the honesty he provides when he tells you what you actually need. They had a recent change in office staff, and now the atmosphere is even more friendly and pleasant. The new receptionist is super bubbly and cute!

In November of 2006 I was rear-​ended on the freeway by a drunk driver. My car was totaled and the driver of the vehicle that hit me drove away. Witnesses told the CHP that it was a black Cadillac Escalade. I called to report the accident to my auto insurance agent, Harjeet Ghuman. He informed me that I did not have coverage for a hit and run accident and that there was nothing he or State Farm could do to help me. Incredible! After being a loyal client, I was denied the services for which I had dutifully and promptly paid for years! At the time of the accident I had coverage for Liability and Bodily injury $ 15/​30K, Property Damage $ 25K, Deductible Comprehensive $ 500, Deductible Collision $ 500, Uninsured Motor Vehicle Bodily Injury $ 15/​30K and Uninsured Motor Vehicle Property Damage. I also had premium reductions for Driving Safety Record, California Good Driver and Loyalty. I was forced to hire an attorney and go through a lengthy process just to recover the damages to my car, which I eventually did. I DO NOT RECOMMEND you buy insurance with Harjeet Ghuman. I would give zero stars if it were possible.
