Super! Just left an hour ago, needed to check my engine ASAP cause «check engine» light popped up. Javier was extremely professional, fast and friendly. He told me about the problem, that was kind of expensive by the way, and also explained I can still drive like that and it’s my choice to do it on the spot or wait. He could have scared me and charge $ 500 right away, but he was very honest. So, great experience for me and when I decide to move forward with a repair I’ll definitely be back to this shop. Thank you!

A true neighborhood business with timely service, awesome pricing, and impeccable customer service. I called in to the business on a Saturday morning and was able to come in an hour later and have my car taken care of (oil change, tire rotation, brake inspection) in about an hour. Javier, the owner, is a pleasure and they have the cutest shop mascot/​greeter named Oliver. He’s pretty much my new best friend and I probably would have repeated business here just to visit him, but the quality of service here definitely seals the deal. Do yourself the biggest favor and get your mundane car errands taken care of in a truly friendly and hospitable environment!

Very good! I was in a rush looking for the quickest place that opened early the next day to help me repair my tire. Luckily I found J&J through their great reviews on Unilocal.I called in the next morning and they were willing to repair my tire ASAP. I went there and it took them about 15 minutes to repair the tire and I was done! Quick & easy. If you ever need a place to help you to their best of their abilities then I would 100% recommend this auto repair shop.

Javier is the best mechanic I’ve found in a long time. He’s always upfront, to the point, and timely. Being a woman in the city it’s especially nice to find someone who will explain things to you honestly & without judgement (or try and sell you frills you don’t need). I recently moved out of state and I miss him already!

I needed my AC fixed. Called em up in the morning, they said come on in. Fixed in one hour. My car is freezing cold now. Fast, efficient and honest… what more do you want from a mechanic?

He was putting a lot of work into my VW Jetta when I crashed and totaled my car on my way to his shop. He really took care of me and my car during our time of loss. I Just found a auto mechanic that I can trust. I’m always skeptical about going to auto repair shops. I needed my breaks fixed so I Unilocaled and found that there are a lot of positive reviews for J&J. I called a head and was able to have my breaks fixed the same day. Javier tests the car while you wait in the waiting room with Coffee tea hot water and Netflix. After he tests the car he explains The details that need to be fixed and or need to be fixed at a later time. I dropped off the car with him. I got a call 2hrs later and my car was done. «That’s Fast!» When I used to go to the dealership, the car would not be ready Till the end of the day. I like the fact that Javier helps explain everything that he does when fixing your car. I will definitely come back.

Javier was awesome. He really tries to help his customers however he can. He squeezed me in for an oil change. Will definitely be back if I have any other problems, or for maintenance. Only wish I found him sooner would have saved me some time and money.

The owner of the shop Javier is extremely nice and wants to make sure you know everything that is going on while your car is in his hands. I got a Groupon voucher that he explains is pretty much the same price for his regular Full Service Oil of $ 40 but its the customers he wants from the groupon ads is the reason he post the deal. I was in and out in about 45 minutes with a couple of things I should also think about considering getting done in the near future. All in all I will me back… especially to just hangout with the shop dog Olivier the 5 month old American bulldog pup who greats everyone at the door.

I’d like to thank Javier for professionally and wholesomely helping me w my car, he’s very genuine and caring towards his customers! As a small and obviously clueless girl I know nothing (not surprising) about cars, and I was skeptical about going to get my car looked at despite the fact that it’s in the worst condition :(.
In past I would go to auto shops just to get one thing checked/​fixed for something as little as an oil change or coolant leakage and end up leaving and paying about $ 500+ where the establishment changed something else without my permission and charged me without my consent. But from a great reference I’m glad to find someone like Javier, and really grateful he treats me w respect and educates me although I don’t know a thing. In no way did he try to scam me or mislead me into thinking everything was wrong w my car. I never had this kind of service anywhere at all, which leaves me to conclude that this is a very honest establishment and I’m so relieved that I can go alone and not worry about anything ^_​_​^

I come all the way from Napa County to see Javier at J&J Auto Repair. Here are three major reasons why:
1. Courteous. Javier always greets you with a friendly smile. Auto repair can be intimidating for a lot of folks because frankly, a lot of folks don’t understand everything that happens under the hood in their own vehicle. That’s fine. Javier does. And if you want the explanation, Javier will happily give it to you, which leads to the next point…
2. Knowledgeable. Javier knows cars. From simple maintenance to ground-​up refurbishment, Javier does it, and does it well, on a daily basis. The evidence is easily seen by taking a look at the multiple projects happening in the shop. There are some beautiful old cars in there that are having new life breathed back into them by this man. He appreciates and understands the complexity of the engineering that goes into each vehicle and what it takes to repair it, which leads me to my final point…
3. Honest. Javier will give it to you straight, every time. If something specific is wrong with your vehicle, he will be specific in explaining what needs to be done – nothing more and nothing less. In this way, he ensures that you will be getting the best value for the repair that ails your vehicle.
In my experience, no other local shop near me comes close to having the level of service that J&J Auto Repair provides in the areas described above. If you live in the vicinity of J&J Auto Repair, I recommend that you take your vehicle to this garage for repairs and routine maintenance… and consider yourself lucky for having such a great mechanic so close at hand.

I bought a Groupon for an oil change/​inspection of the car and I’m so glad I did! I found out that the brakes on my 2001 Honda Civic were on their way out and my struts needed to be replaced (I drive a lot for work, so this didn’t surprise me). Javier showed me while the car was on the lift the things that needed to be repaired. He also gave me a great deal on those repairs. In addition, the Groupon got me in the door, but he charges the same price, with or without the Groupon.
After this great experience, I also had my fiancé bring in his 2008 Volkswagen Rabbit, which was having transmission problems. Javier was completely honest with him, explained what was going on and even told him that it may not be able to be fixed completely (long story). Point being, Javier explained exactly what he thought was going on, and gave my fiancé a great price. He even replaced a tail light that was out on my car for free when I dropped my fiancé off to have the car repaired.
It’s difficult to find a mechanic that does good work that you can trust and won’t break the bank. If that’s what you want, go to see Javier at J & J’s! You won’t be disappointed! I won’t be going anywhere else! from now on!

Javier is phenomenal at his work. He is so informative, caring and understanding. I had an emergency with my car and he took care of it plus more. And I have continued to go back to him for all of my car troubles. Thank you Javier and team you guys are awesome!

I found this place through Groupon. They had a deal for an oil change and a myriad of other car related mambo jumbo I’m not familiar with. It was only $ 34.00, how could I say no?! Before purchasing I called to make sure I could get it done today and ask how long it would take. To my surprise the voice on the other end was friendly and inviting. I confirmed my order and headed to the location.
When I arrived the staff was eating lunch but still someone greeted me and remembered me from our prior phone conversation. Immediately I felt appreciated and wanted as a customer. He advised me that he would start on my car right after lunch and I told him to take his time.
I walked the neighborhood with my dog for a while. Friendly urban neighborhood setting. I met a few ladies that we’re having a church yard sale. Aside from that I got waters for us at the local liquor store and passed by a bunch of other small businesses in the area.
After some time I went back and sat around. Javier (the owner and same man who greeted me earlier) asked me to go take a look at some things. He assured my
My front breaks were doing ok then pointed out my backs were on their last leg (which I had a feeling) along with my tires. He gave me a quote for new back brakes, roaders, new tires and labor. That quote was less then what the big names corporate giants wanted to charge for just new tires.
All in all I’m extremely satisfied and I will be back in two weeks to give him more business. Customer service, honesty and genuine transparency go a long way. This man and his business are the real deal!

J&J auto repair is and will be my one stop shop for maintenance and work on all my vehicles. Javier and staff are very professional and pleasant to deal with, as a mobile dj in the bay I need to be on the road a lot and knowing that I have a place that I can rely on to get me back on the road asap is Perfect! I can’t speak highly enough about the service provided here. I brought my car in to have some body work done and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Javier went above and beyond and even restored the shine to my tires and rims. It looked like a new car when I went to pick it up.
