Great dentist and staff! They make you feel very comfortable the minute you walk in. Best Dentist in San Leandro!

First — I’m terrified of dentists. For real. I had such bad experiences in the past that I just don’t trust anyone around my teeth.
Second — Does anyone actually like going to the dentist? Well I sure don’t, but Mrs. Janice did change that, at least a little. :)
Third — This is a review of a great dentist by someone who would not consider dentist as a human-​friendly profession.
When I was choosing a dentist’s office I wanted it to be close to home, not horribly expensive and well, have good reviews from happy customers. And Mrs. Janice did. Rightfully so. She is very friendly and knows how to calm me down, when I start cringing on her chair (either because it really hurts or because the sounds are freaking me out). She is fast (don’t get me wrong, not super fast, but dentist kind of fast) but thorough (I only came back once, cause my filling made my tooth too high in one place and it was bothering me). Also very informative in case you have any kind of questions regarding your teeth and/​or procedures that she’s about to do.
Her office is lovely furnished and she always plays some cartoons or movies for her customers (she even asked me what I wanted to watch during my procedure). Her staff is also nice and sometimes they take over for smaller procedures (flossing etc), if she has someone else still in the chair. They always check their online appointments with you (from ZocDoc and emails) and make sure to remind you to come in (you get a date for half a year in advance and if you don’t write it down, you forget).
I’m usually there for about an hour or so for a regular semiannual exam (X-​rays, consulting and teeth cleaning) and I always get a new tooth brush, tooth paste, dental floss and mouthwash after this examination. :)
If you want to have a good first experience with a dentist, come here, you won’t be sorry.

I’m happy that both my husband and son like Dr. Janice to be their dentist. We been tried several clinic but after their first visit they don’t want to go back anymore not with Dr. Janice she is like a family and my boys are always looking forward for their appointments. She reminds me of our family dentist back home, friendly staff. Keep up the good work!

This is one dentist I don’t get nervous going to see. Dr. Santa Maria Real is very gentle. She always explains what she’s going to do and what the results are. Last fillings I had done were easy peasy and I wasn’t numb all day. The staff are all sweet and everyone makes you feel at home. I especially like the take home freebies at the end of the exam. Oh and she has the new digital xrays so that your exposure to xrays is very limited!

The second I walked in it was a very welcoming and a nice atmosphere. Very clean and chique. Lupe the medical assistant in the front was very welcoming also. What I liked about this place is that they really are eco-​friendly. Instead of handing out paper to fill out your information they hand you a laminated sheet which you fill out with a marker and they scan your info in! Never seen this done before! The dental assistants were very nice also and when I finally met the dentist she was very nice! She really knows her stuff and you can tell in the confidence in her voice. Very informative and I think I chose the right dentist!

This review is LONG over due… I have been going to their office for over 2 years now and I have had nothing but amazing service from all of them. They are always so compassionate, kind, and extremely informative. I ask a lot of questions about the procedures and materials being used and they are always great with answers and explaining. They have TV’s in their exam rooms as well so you get to zone out if need be =D. They work with you financially to set up payments for services as well if you do not have insurance. You only get one mouth and it is critical to take care of it– and they understand that. I can’t say enough great things about them– if you do not already have them as your Dentist– go. now. You won’t be disappointed!

Hands down the best dental experience I have ever had.
The clinic is clean and eco-​friendly. They have you write on laminated intake sheets which they scan and clean (so as not to waste paper). Everyone was prompt and communicative. I was in and out with x-​rays/​exam, cleaning, AND chipped tooth repair in under 1.5 hours. Also, they have movies playing in the exam room; a nice touch that gives you something else to focus on besides the sharp tools in your mouth.

This is my forst visit here. Dental facility is nice and clean. Dina the receptionist is very accomodating. Dr Santa Maria explained throroughly what’s going on in my teeth department. Jackie the Hygenist is gentle and superb! Oh and Kim the Dental Assistant is very friendly. I am overall impressed at this clinic!
