Pretty straightforward review, Dr Jaber is a fantastic endodontist and will save your tooth. In my book a tooth is kinda important.
Also he is pretty fast, and it’s not really all that uncomfortable considering what’s gotta be done.
I found the fee reasonable, I know that others charge as much and more and are not as talented as Mr Jaber.

I have had the pleasure of getting a retreatment of a old root canal that ended up bad by Dr Jabar in San Leandro. He is totally awesome! His staff is a pleasure to deal with. He has a soft silky voice that helps you relax. I actually fell asleep believe it or not. That is how relaxed I was. If I ever needed another root canal, I would go back to see him.

I’m the biggest baby when it comes to the dentist & this experience was great! Zero pain for a root canal. Zero! He numbed me up a lot and they gave me ibuprofen for the soreness to come the next couple days. Great customer service. They made a point to give me a high estimate so I’d know what to expect & it ended up being cheaper! They take Guardian dental & FSA debit cards. Private parking lot across the street. Highly recommend them!

Dr. Jaber was excellent in dealing with a dental emergency I had. I was sent over to him because of an abcess with a root canal. His staff got me in for a urgent visit, Dr Jaber was a mentor to my former general dentist, and even knows my first dentist I had back in Oakland, small world eh’? anyway, he hooked me up to some nitrous put me at ease and got to, a bit of drilling, some temporary antibiotic filling and wallah, I was set to have my root canal done on the 1^st of the year. I had tooth pain a few days later, he did the follow up for free and took care of my needs. He is knowlegable and gained my trust, he has free parking, see staff for the secret location haha. Dr. Jaber is now a part of my «dental team» hopefully I won’t need his serviced though :)

Rude and obnoxious staff! Not warm and inviting to patients desperately in need of a dentist or one that has paid in the past for expensive root canal procedures. San Leandro is a haven for bad dentist, too bad patients have to try to seek help in Danville, Pleasanton and San Ramon where the staff is more congenial and caring!

I’ve had two root canals over a couple of years by Dr, Jaber and I just made an appointment for another — oh lucky me! I’ll just cut through all the platitudes and go right to the chase. If you need a root canal, this is the guy you want doing it. He’s simply the BEST!

I must start this review off by expressing how scared I was of the dentist. I had a bad experience with my previous dentist of 12+ years and after last year (once I had gotten married), I decided to switch over to my husbands dentist. Although Dr. Jaber isn’t our primary dentist (he is the specialist that our dentist sends referrals to for root canals), he and his staff are truly amazing. I was preparing to have a «not so good time» here at their office while getting my root canal, but I must say that I was WRONG! Dr. Jaber took great care of me and made sure that I was comfortable and reassured me continually throughout the procedure that I would be just fine. And that I was! The procedure was done before I knew it and I felt great… No medication involved either. The team did such a great job with making me feel comfortable and not nervous, I had to give them a hug and thank them over again as my husband and I left the building. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Very clean, friendly staff and a real comfortable atmosphere. Thanks Dr. Jaber and team.

I had a molar root canal by Dr. Jaber this morning and I was eating solid food by lunch. I felt absolutely no pain during the procedure. He was on time, friendly, had a great chair-​side manner (so does his staff) and the office was extremely clean and modern. He really is outstanding at his profession. He has a great sense of integrity and it shows in his treatment planning and clinical work.

John Jabers is one of the best.
After shadowing him, inspecting his work, and randomly checking with his patients, I’m satisfied with referring my patients to him.
He does better than textbook perfect work.
He is the only endodontist that I know who uses conebeam CT for his cases (a cutting edge $ 100,000+ machine that provides 3d imaging).
His staff is friendly, and professional.
His style is like a conductor for a chamber quartet: quiet, sure, and never rushed. He actually slows down his treatment to provide ideal treatment.
He’s also a really great guy.
Aside from teaching at UOP and UCSF Dental school, he also serves as a peer review for cases.

I needed a root canal was so nervous. He was patient with my nerves and made sure I felt NO pain. The customer care was great!
