Loard’s Ice Cream

Loards Ice Cream is the Best if you’ve eaten there then you know what I’m talking about! My favorite is the Black raspberry but every flavor in Loards is off the charts!

I think I found my new favorite ice cream spot! Honestly most of the flavors I’ve tried were pretty darn good. Loard’s has mastered the perfect balance of creaminess, flavor, and sweetness. The servers give you big whopping scoops so your tastebuds and your wallet are both satisfied.
My favorite flavors are Mango, Green Tea, and Coffee. I’ve eaten green tea ice cream ever since I was a child so I’m very particular with this flavor. And I’m happy to say, that Loard’s green tea definitely passed the test!

Worse first time experience. Mediocre ice cream, nothing special. Rite Aid and Baskin Robin’s is alot better. I rather pay double at Fentons. Mint chocolate chip isn’t the best, tiny specs of chocolate and tasted cheap. Rude customer service, kids working there didn’t want to be there. Guy said they have a restroom in the back. It’s a total mess. Girl had the nerve to say we had to tell her that we were going to the restroom first. There was no sign… Little girl, you can shove it! Ube ice cream isn’t that great either! Waste of my money. They also charge 50 cents for under $ 10 credit purchase.

IceCream is good — service is meh

The only ice cream worth getting is the ube (I love hearing unknowing people butcher the heck out of a three letter word, btw). Everything else I’ve had tasted like it’s been sitting in those dark hidden tubs the last four years. Save your dollars and buy a half gallon of chemical-​pumped Dreyer’s instead; it’ll be much more appealing than the rancid nuts you’ll be chowing down on at Loard’s.

Me n my gf walked in the customer service is below zero honestly. The lady asked us to read the names on top, she don’t us to taste anything. Plus everything is covered u see what they sell. We asked to open it but they weren’t happy doing it. Again asking us to read the menu on top like wtf! No smile at all… Worst experience ever!

So many delicious flavors, so little time. Great customer service too despite the fact that we came in right before closing. I know some places show how annoyed they are when that happens, but they were great, and I really appreciate that.

Staff who help us had such a great attitude and answer all my question and had me try some of the I cream! He was great, his happy attitude made our first time visit pleasant, even pose for my picture. Vanilla ice cream sundae is delicious! We were recommended by my husbands co worker who said he’s been coming here for over 5 years. I can definitely say I would recommend it.

Loard’s is hands down the best ice cream to me. It’s delicious. My dogs also really enjoy the treats they have. They usually sell out of them super quick. They also offer quart sized ice cream and cones to purchase. I just found out that you can have them make personal quart sized ice creams to take home (filling it up with a bunch of different flavors).
I’ve been coming to this location for years and I like how they finally updated the place. They now offer a member card that they stamp every time you go in to eventually get a free ice cream.

What good things can I not say about Loard’s Ice cream? I’ve been to other locations but this location was a first for me. I rate Loard’s Ice Cream a solid 5 for sure for their delicious flavors, can’t be beat prices. It’s all good, but i only docked a star for this location just due to how long it took to get ice cream and service. But other than that, this location is nice. I’m assuming they store /​ship their ice cream from this location since they had a small warehouse attached to it. Also another thing i noticed that was different about this location is not having labels on the ice creams, they were enclosed in stainless steel mini fridges. So it wasn’t like the other locations I’ve been to where drums of ice cream are shown in the open visually with labels. So that was different lol. You’d have to choose your flavors off the menu at top.
I ordered a regular sundae with marble ice cream and cookie dough ice cream while my husband ordered the Fudge-​ana with vanilla. Like i said, ice cream can’t be beat. I’m so glad my husband introduced me to this place, i can’t go to Baskin Robbins or Coldstone anymore when there’s Loard’s Ice Cream around!

Loard’s has been a household name the Bay Area for years. Great selection of flavors. Awesome staff and very good service. Loard’s ice cream will not disappoint.

Three and a half years later, I finally make it back to Loard’s, and I’d have to say it was a much better experience than the first, as far as service goes.
However, it was a bit disappointing that the flavor options of pre-​packed quarts was rather limited. I went in, this time, planning to bring home a few quarts. So I tried a few flavors and settled on the ones that I wanted and Mango was at the top of my list. Turns out, that must be quite a popular one since the guy who walked in just before and another right after me, were also looking for Mango. I ended up finding a Mocha Chip, which was delicious. Since I had my head set on getting some Mango, I decided to get 1lb hand packed, and I’m still enjoying every bite of it.
Loard’s has quite the variety of flavors from traditional to seasonal to somewhat ethnic. I can’t say that I liked every one that I tried, but I know there’s someone out there who must like each flavor. Since it was up to me, to pick the flavors to bring home, I wasn’t about to get Fresh Banana (I just personally don’t like banana flavored anything), but after tasting it, I knew it would be a hit at home, since it tasted exactly like fresh bananas and my family would have loved it! Even the Peanut Butter Fudge was tasty, although I think it was a little too rich for my liking.
I’m definitely more of a fan now, than before, and will be looking out for Loard’s at the grocery store, too!

We came here with the fam for papa’s day. Because the rest of us were too stuffed from dim sum, only Papa got ice cream. I think he went with a dark chocolate ice cream with fudge on top, and then topped off the fudge again halfway through. That’s how you do it!
The service was so so so friendly, and kind. Papa had questions for him and he answered to the best of his ability.
When I am ready to binge on some ice cream, I will be back!

Mmmmmmm. So many flavors and so many combinations. Pretty sure you could come here every day and get something different for a year. They are very nice and let you sample the goodies prior to digging into what ya get. Just watch out because it’s so good you are highly likely to get a brain freeze

Stopped here on my way back home to San Jose since it was the top rated ice cream shop in the area. I got the mint chocolate chip with the raspberry sorbet on a sugar cone since they were all out of waffle cones :/​I really liked the raspberry sorbet! :) My family loved their ice cream as well. We’ll be visiting soon whenever we’re around the area.

The best ice cream hands down in the east bay is Loard’s Factory Store and man are the prices are affordable. Fresh and reasonably priced and family friendly. Don’t miss their frequent scooper card (buy 10 get 1 free). This store has all the flavored available especially for south pacificers.

Oh good Loardy, this place is so delicious! It was kind of a small hidden place behind all of the big car sales buildings and its parking is pretty limited. It’s also a bit on the steep side, since my car scrapped on the way out and it’s not even lowered haha. But there’s so many flavors there which made it even more difficult that usual to choose. As usual, I ended up trying a whole bunch of flavors. Loved the banana, mocha fudge (although it was a very strong, powerful flavor. Enjoyed that it had the fudge in it as oppose to the little chips because I get tired of chewing all the chips), chocolate mint (which again had shavings of chocolate instead of chips, which was soooo much better than normal mint chocolate chip ice cream), rainbow sherbet, and more. Tried the champagne, which me, my boyfriend, and the worker all agreed it didn’t really taste like champagne but it was an interesting flavor to have. Kinda sucked that they didn’t have all of their seasonal flavors in but was okay since I had a hard time making a decision anyways. I’m a huge cone fan so I loved the fact that they have sugar, waffle, and waffle cup cones! Portions were huge too. Got a scoop of banana and a scoop of mocha fudge and I couldn’t even finish it despite my hunger and the deliciousness of it all.
S/​o to the nice worker for allowing us to try so many flavors and for being so patient with us! Great place, definitely coming back for more. Now that it’s discovered, there’s no hiding away from me now.

This location is the great and if your lucky enough to go when DJ & Christian are working they are the best. Such great energy and great customer service.
We went one night and didn’t realize they closed at 9. Well we got there at 8:59 and they were finishing up cleaning etc… I asked are you closed and Christian said nope we close in 1 minute. Needless to say they took our order for like 6 sundaes/​ice cream at that time and did it the whole time with a smile and even some singing. Never once an attitude about the fact that they were so close to being done for the night.
Keep up the great customer service! Oh yeah the awesome ice cream too!
My only complaint is I wish they were open a little later on the weekends but I also understand because of the location.

My eagle-​eyed son spotted their sign on the main drag outside the mall so we happily turned around and got our ice-​cream on. What a fantastic find to get this fab ice-​cream straight from the factory locale.

Generous sized scoops, great quality ice-​cream, and a very nice selection of flavors including Philippine inspired tropical treats like ‘ube’ and ‘halo halo.’ This is a must-​stop after an afternoon of shopping across the way.
Personal faves — coconut pineapple, mint-​chip, & halo halo. Just heavenly.
TIP — when using credit/​debit, they require a 10 $ minimum. Just grab a quart to take home and you’re good :)
