Ordered the polish and links hot dogs. Both were good and juicy. Both were also spicy. Didn’t get a chance to the ice cream. 8 bucks for two hot dogs. Not as cheap as costco but helping small mom pops stores always good.

Very tasty and friendly service. My 8 year old ordered pot stickers and he killed it. I had a chili cheese dog and killed it. Ice cream is yummy! We will be back!

I’ve been going here for years– I made a previous review a few years back, still under Nikki B. The ice cream parlor recently changed hands. But service is still stellar! The man who helped me today is very sweet and kind. His name is Norman and he is awesome! I got a single scoop of rainbow sherbet on a cone, and my mother got a single scoop of coffee ice cream in a cup. Despite my choosing a cone and my mom choosing a cup, they still were $ 2.50 each, and came out to $ 5.00 even. A great little place, operated by a warm hearted person.

Polish with sauerkraut was good as was the hot dog and mac salad. The best part was even at the end of the day, the guy at the counter was friendly and even brought a fork that he thought he had left out of the bag to the car! I’ll be back, it was yummy and cheap for this area and the guy at the counter was great! BTW: the dog, hot link or polish, mac/potato salad or chips and a can of soda is now $ 5.25

This place is cash only. Great place to grab a bite to eat if you’re on a go. Great ice cream selection, it’s no Baskin Robins, however, it has all the flavors that my kids like such as green tea and chocolate. Friendly and fast service.

I came here randomly one day while I was hanging out at the Marina. I had the pot stickers, 3.95 for 6 of them. They were good. Not the best I’ve ever had, but it was tasty and definitely hit the spot quite unexpectedly. I’m coming back again for sure for pot stickers or maybe hotdogs. Pro Tip: Get that hot sauce!

Hot dogs AND Ice Cream, what more could you ask for?! Especially in San Leandro. I seriously don’t get how more people don’t know about this place. I discovered it by accident while searching for a place to eat lunch one day and the customers seem to be regulars who eat here everyday. That alone is a testament to the food and service. Every time I visit, the lady at the counter is always friendly and attentive, ringing me up for hot dogs, a bag of chips and soda with a smile on her face. I’ve brought my little sister here before and she loves it. They always have combo deals that make it a little cheaper for you to get chips, fries or various assorted lunch food. However, I’d stick with the hot dogs and ice cream as it’s their best-tasting. I tried won ton soup here once and it was less than stellar, but what do you expect out of an ice cream parlor? Being a hot dog fan, there are not many places where you can get a good, cheap, quick hot dog these days. At least not in my neck of the woods. This isn’t New York, people. We don’t have a plethora of hot dog stands to choose from. I used to get mine solely from Casper’s until I discovered this hidden gem. Fresh, tasty and cheap — just the way hot dogs should be! My only gripe would be that they don’t offer many toppings or condiments; just the usual of tomatoes, cheese, onions, mustard, ketchup, mayo and relish. Still, on an uneventful day, that’s enough to satisfy me. Usually, a hot dog, chips and soda will set me back around $ 6 here. Not unless they start raising prices. But you don’t have to get soda. They actually have a great drink selection of sodas, teas and juices that usually go great with a hot dog. Let’s keep more local businesses like this in business. Hot dogs, hot dogs, COMEGETYOURHOTDOGS!

Never got ice cream; but the hot links are pretty good! They have others food there also, such as tuna sandwiches, chili, and fired rice. I go there once a week. Nice people and they usually know who you are and your order.

This place intrigued me… I mean how often do you see a place restaurant called Hot Dogs and Ice Cream Turns out the place has really good ice cream, makes delicious shakes, and has a really nice owner. They also sell a bunch of random dishes. People coming in were ordering all sorts of noodles, sandwiches, hot dogs, and ice cream. I can’t mix my milk and meat, so I haven’t tried the hot dogs yet. The tuna sandwich I got though was really good though, and the guy making them really loves what he’s doing. It’s cool seeing how he’s all careful with the bread and in placing the pickles on top of it just right. (The tuna sandwich and the ice cream were ordered on separate occasions – tuna and ice cream… not a good mix.)

Couldn’t help but notice that some of the bad reviews were based on their hot dogs… If you want a hot dog, don’t go yo an ice cream parlor. The ice cream here is really good and the owners are very nice. They still remember my order even though I have not been here for roughly 2 years(I went there 2 – 3 times a month). The food is a plus. I go by for a quick meal once in a while

2.5 stars I always pass by the Marina Ice Cream Parlor when traveling between jobs. It always stuck out since they say they serve hot dogs and I love hot dogs. So one lunch break I head over here with my supervisor and we both got the polish drinks and chips. Food came quickly and service abrupt. The toppings were fresh but the polish was okay, nothing special. Tasted a little boring in my opinion. Maybe I came in with high expectations, but left with a shoulder shrug.

Marina has bud’s ice cream and hot dogs. in hindsight should have ordered ice cream but who eats ice cream for lunch? sampling: polish dog(2.75+.25) –looked bigger than a regular dog(2.25+) so got it. –had tomatos, relish, onions, mustard, etc. none tasted great –the polish was so bleh, definitely a mongrel polish, not a pedrigreed one. 2.5 stars foodnotes: –service not a problem, dog was. –would repeat for ice cream.

O Unilocal, why can’t i rate it 4.5! Oh was that a question? If you are hoping for a non-bias review of this spot then please read no further. Because everything i say about this place will make you think it is going to be phenomenal food, and partially it is. But mouth-watering food is not the reason why i love this place it’s the whole package! Read more. Back in the day, about 12 years ago when i was a youngsta and have recently moved to this lovely town of San Leandro. Marina ice cream parlor was the first place i ate at! Why? Because i was frigging 10 and this joint is literally a 5 minute bike ride from my house! I use to remember putting my bike outside on the ground because i was too lazy to prop it up and enter the ice cream parlor for a nice and tasty lunch! The Food: Alright, alright, an asian couple running a hot dog and ice cream joint? Weird right? WHOCARES! They know how to make a hotdog and you can count on that. No diggity! Back then, a hot dog, potato salad, and a soda was only about 3 dollars! Three mackaroos! Where else could you have gotten a nice, fresh and healthy lunch for 3 dollars! Could they have grilled the hot dog for a crispy skin, sure. Could they have served fries with their hot dogs, sure. Could they have offer grilled onions as a condiment, sure. But they didn’t and that’s alright because everything else they did, you know it was fresh and by hand. Toppings included mustard(yellow and deli), ketchup, diced onions, relish, tomatoes, and as i grown up over the years, so did the toppings! They started offering sourkrout, jalapenos, and pickles. But what i always get, and probably the best thing on their menu is the CHICKENSALADSANDWHICH. Repeat after me, the CHICKENSALADSANDWHICH. Imagine the best chicken salad you have ever tasted, now divide that by 1 and multiply it by infinity. The best part about the chicken salad is that it’s just a chicken salad! No grapes, no walnuts, no funny things in it. Just good seasoning, perfect amount of mayo, and fresh, tender, and succulent shredded chicken. And it comes with all the fixings. And their chili is really good! I know its store bought because i came real early one day and saw them spooning it out of a giant can but i never caught the brand of their chili. Anyways, wonderful people, fresh and good food. If you live or work near San Leandro Marina and you need a quick and great lunch just come here! Don’t wait in line at the Subway next to it for processed«grilled chicken» and factory shredded lettuce. We need to support local businesses!

This is a great mom and pa shop. Very friend environment and very nice people. I do occasionally eat here, either a hot dog, a polish dog or a chili dog with cheese on top, yum. When the weather’s hot, this is a cool relaxing place to hang out a bit and have my ice cream. As for Chad L., no idea what’s he’s talking about $ 2.75. It’s $ 2.75 plus TAX. Even McDonald, Burger King, etc. all charges taxes when they are advertising their $ 0.99 value meal. Maybe Chad doesn’t know any better since he’s usually leeching off of others. I knew a guy like that…

I have gone here a few times but never ordered anything for myself. I have stolen a bite of ice cream from friends because they have buds and it is awesome, but I had never eaten here. That is until this week. Curious and craving a hot dog my partner and I cruised over to Marina Ice cream parlor for a polish dog. We walked inside to see the older couple that own the place and we ordered. The sign said that it would cost $ 2.75, but it was $ 3. The dog was not impressing and very bland at first taste and of a lesser quality. It was topped with mustard, pickles, jalapenos, and onions. I ate it and drove immediately to Kaspers in Hayward for a real hot dog. Then I realized I was turned off of hot dogs and ordered some nachos. I was burping nasty hot dog for the rest of the day. I will not get anything but ice cream here and that’s just if I’m specifically craving Bud’s ice cream. CHAD

good place and good customer service. A middle aged asian lady was working when i arrived and greeted me. I ordered their chili cheese dog. Not too bad, you could tell that the chili wasn’t homemade. I’m sure it’s dennisons chili or another brand. She put a huge load of onions on it and when i asked for dijon mustard, she put it on top of the onions, kinda weird. Ask first then put on the condiments, not the other way around. Kinda pricey for a hot dog tho… Anyways, nice little spot located in between subway and round table. I’ll try their hot link dog next… maybe their ice cream too…
