This place is an absolute mess. Can not believe how dirty everything was. Bartender was ok. We were served in tiny plastic cups. Bathrooms were nasty. Lights outside were either not on or working when we arrived. Not a safe or clean place to go.

I live close to this dive bar and have been here after work a couple times with coworkers. Each time I go, I am surprised at how low the prices are for their shots… lol. Thats actually all i ever order so idk what the other prices are… They have this shot there called liquid morphine, I have no idea what is in it, all I know is that after that shot I am numb… lol. I love to feel numb… the shot is like $ 3 and its sweet tasting, I taste butterscotch in the after taste. I met the owner and his wife and they are super cool. I was told that this is a Raiders bar and I always walk in wearing 9er gear… lol. Uh… my bad, but everyone is cool and super chill there. There are smiles everywhere you turn… but of course its probably because we are all numb… hahaha. Bartender is cool as f#*k and the place is clean. Good friendly company and cheap«numbing» drinks… you cant go wrong here!!! I will definitely be back!!!

This place has a lively group of locals. I keep coming here for big games and some beats from their juke box. The drinks are reasonably priced, if you are trying to have a liquid diet this place will sure to satisfy that need. I do agree with some of the reviewers and bring a friend. This is a dive bar with characters, but if you aren’t stuck in a box and quick to make«friends» this place does offer a «superbowl experience». A lot of laughs when it’s small and cozy. Or a hopping dance place with it’s hosting events. This place is more hip-hop than alternative, so if you are looking for some beats this might be a good place to swing by.

A old bar with cheap drinks, loud music, and old people. I found this place several years ago and had a great time. The old people added an element of comedy and safety and the bartenders always overpour with a heavy hand. I recently went back and it seemed like the crowd got younger and thugier. That being said I still had fun and the music was still good, but around 1130ish i had the natural instinct to start heading towards the door. I probably was overreacting, but if you int he dirty 30 club and«youngins» start to make you nervous you may want to find a new hang out.

WOW! Talk about a local hang-out — this place was POPPIN on a Saturday night! They stop accepting people at the door around 10pm — karaōke on monday nights. Beware– this place really is edgy… bring a designated friend to keep watch … there are def. sketchy cruisers around here lookin for trouble! Other than that, awesome local vibe, ghetto-fab music and very crowded… dance floor in the back w/2 pool tables makes it a more dynamic spot than most dives! Easy parking(right next to Safeway) and on the border of East Okaland in Leandro.

Being younger I guess I like to go for the laughs. Majority of the men that come r the ones who seem to get rejected from the real clubs. The bar itself is cool. The owners r nice n the bartenders r cool

I used to go to the Parker House quite a bit. Friday night at the Parker House used to be a lot of fun way back in the day. This was a while back when their ID policy was a lot looser. Meaning they pretty didn’t much didn’t have one. This was way back in ’96−97… Things were a lot different back then in a lot of ways. I still stop into the Parker House every once in a while if I am in San Leandro which is not too often but I will always have those wonderful memories of playing dominoes or Texas hold’em at the card table. I will remember Chuck and Fannie, I’ll remember puking out the back door and coming right back in. I remember having everybody come back to my parent’s place after the P-House shut down to play pool and drink even more. It was a hot mess. There are now a lot of differences between the P-house of old and the P-house of new. There is now a dress code, there is no longer smoking allowed in the bar, there are a lot more rules than there were before. If I was in the neighborhood I probably still wouldn’t go at night time but its fine for an afternoon brew.

Hmmmm… I guess I like aggressive women. I like Oakland women! When I get my groove on in Oaktown the magic happens(I’ve always had hip hop tendencies, but when I throw in some Afro-Cuban motion: FUGGEDABOUTIT!!). A group of friends and I went here to end a funky fresh night of touring Oaktown!(woot woot!!) My friend said he was taking us to a dive bar, so I imagined a dark and dreary place with stiff drinks and questionable characters… and something totally dead. This place was far from the doldrums. They had a DJ spinnin’ some tight hip hop and R&B. Oh wait, I have to scratch the record and stop the music: When we opened the door and were framed at the entrance, I imagined we stopped the party for a TICK. Our Native foursome were probably the lightest-skinned of the establishment, so we caught some glances… and then in a TOCK everyone was back to partying. I knew I was going to love this place. I think I ordered a beer… but I didn’t really care, I just jumped onto the dancefloor. I don’t need no dance partner either. I love just getting in there and moving to some good music. My moves were in full effect, because within seconds I had bumpers and grinders taking tickets to get on the Corey G ride! It was hella FUN and FUNNY. I’m not sure if it was the allure of dancing with a boy who’s half white who can move, but that allure was a tractor beam. Heck, one girl’s friend even took a picture of us! Ha ha! So funny! So yeah, an unexpected surprise for this bar which seemed to be set away from things: solid 3.5 stars rounded UP!

Well Nate is gone, Regina is gone both excellent bartenders. The whole bar is different not sure I would go here by myself anymore to just have a drink at night. Different crowd used to be all San Leandro people you went to school with or SL graduates. Not the local dive anymore.

I’ve hung out at the Parker House Lounge a couple of times after work with some of my colleagues to play pool. This is definately a dive bar, but it’s decent and the bartenders have always been very friendly. Not sure I would come here late at night though!

Stopped by last night on my way to Oakland. It was about 5:30 on a wednesday, and the place was poppin’. I love the parker because everyone there is so relaxed and open. Nobody gives you any shit here. Tiffany, the bartender, is the best! Chuck cracks me up. There’s a new bartender I think her name is Michelle, and she’s cool too. Wednesday nights they have a DJ. Haven’t stayed long enough to check it out, but I will soon. This is what a dive bar is all about. Friendly regulars, strong drinks, and bartenders that call you by your first name.

As far as dive bars go, the Parker House has always been near the top of the list. It had all the necessities: cheap drinks, cheap jukebox, and crusty old guys at the bar. However, I stopped in on a recent Saturday night with some friends and the place seemed to have changed into a rap-o-licious hip hop hangout complete with the bass bumpin on the jukebox and the blunt-smokin out the back door. We got dirty looks from the girls at the bar the moment we walked in but it wasn’t until when we played«Hotel California» on the jukebox, that we got to see what a true look of disgust actually looked like. We were never really quite able to settle into that dive bar groove that night. Not sure what happened. Parke House, what did you do with the crusty old dudes?

I HATE the parker house! I live near this shit hole of a bar and they are way to loud way to late and way to many night out of the week! They have also been fined by the ABC for serving minors(twice) and for after hours drinking. There have been fights outside and people arrested for warrant violations! I, for one, am afraid to even walk by the place for fear of getting jumped and mugged… and thats from the women that go there! I do have to say, that most of the problems are from the night/weekend crowd… I have nothing agenst the people that go there to have a drink and chill out a bit… but when I get woken up at 12am by really REALLY bad rap music, I find it hard to not want it to stop… PLEASESHUTTHEFUCKUP!

located near the corner of dutton & bancroft, this drinkery is huge but the drinking area is limited mostly to the bar and 2 circular lounge sofas. there are also 2 pool tables in the back. parking is available in the back lot they share with safeway. the elderly bartender is so cool. he even plays the piano when he gets in the mood. the patrons are so cool. they didn’t mind me ribbing them. low key, no hassle, very diverse crowd, ethnically and across the age spectrum. good cheesesteak/wings shop next door. then, there’s angel… entrée: gin/tonic(3.00) mgd(2.75) draft avaiable(blue moon, bud, wiedner?)but they were out. this place reminds me of cheers!

Slandro Champions /Slandros /Visitors: Want an über low key bar with really knowledgeable bartenders, Parker House is the place. It’s been around for so long and has a good strong following. Gets empty sometimes but it’s a really cool place to get a quick drink and chill for a bit, no matter what day of the week. Tiffanie the new bartender can mix up a kick ass Adiós and margarita. Really cool to chop it with her too. So try and pass by this place. Along with it’s strong following of local drinkers, people are slowing trickling in. Both younger and older crowds. Keep this place alive!

parker house is definitly a a low key bar. they have good bartenders, nate is willing to mix you a good drink, including his lake merritt shot that definitly looks like the water in lake merritt but have one too many and your sure to be done! I like going here because its very low key, the jukebox is by comcast so you have a great variety of music that can be downloaded.

The place to come if you went to San Leandro High School within the past 15 years and want to tell your secret crush you always liked him/her, or splash a drink in the face of an ex who did you wrong back in school. I’m not at ALL going to go into detail about the ridiculous personal stories here(though I will say they’re on another venue), because I don’t want to be accosted at the public library or supermarket by a now-obese or now-pregnant schoolmate and be stabbed through with a telescoping dagger because I gossiped about what goes down at the Parker House, but let’s just say that the place has made me deeply consider whether or not I want to go to my class reunion to be amused by all the retards who will come back to show off their mundane careers, or get caught up on all the gay-pregnant-fat-and-dead rumors — because now it may just be frustrating. Yep, this is the place to come to feel both like you got away and that you’re stuck.
