The best bar in San Leandro. Great place to start the night. Try the fresh whiskey sour a la Eddie. Girls leave your boyfriend’s at home he’s a charmer. All the staff is great. Jacki and Brian, you can’t go wrong when you’re thirsty and you happen to be in San Leandro.

Walked in and the owner greeted my friend and I, and made us feel very comfortable, got us a seat at the bar, even though it was really busy. The bartender was sweet and help us with our every need. It was loud, but it’s a small place so of course it going to be loud.

Love this place! It used to suck until Bob took the reins and turned it around. Great to stop off and grab a quick drink or hang out for a while. There are different events posted on facebook a lot so I always know what’s going on. Everyone is welcome!

Do they have food? I didn’t see a menu/​waitress/​kitchen. What I did see/​feel was an eclectic, friendly mix of people: old, young, gay, straight, racially diverse. Makes me want to come back, food or no food. BTW… there was some food and birthday cake set out for somebody’s birthday. Maybe I should come here on my birthday and bring a cake from Costco??? I will definitely be back.

Over time, Washington Club has become my «go-​to» bar in the Dro.
I first came here when they didn’t have any beer on tap and more often than not, the place was pretty empty and sad.
Now that Bob has taken over the place, they have plenty of great beers on tap and the interior is a lot friendlier and inviting.
I tend to stop by in the afternoons after work and the bartenders have all been super friendly, especially Judy and Laurie.
The locals also have been friendly for the most part and I’ve had some lively conversations over some Drake’s Denogginizers!
If you’re in town, come by and check it out. The classic mural in front of the bar is worth the visit alone!

Was in the area and stopped in for a couple drinks with a friend. Loved the Friday night bartender, Michelle. Drinks were great, vibe was very friendly, owner also seemed very friendly. The place was also very clean. Will be in again soon!

Inside has been redone dont be fooled by the outside. Cool dive bar with very fair prices on all drinks. A ton of different liquor to choose from. Friendly atmosphere and owner.

I’ve been here twice now and had a great time both times. Laurie is so friendly and welcoming. She also makes GREAT bloody Mary’s. Cold beer, great drinks, pool, friendly customers & great bartenders. I only wish this place was closer to my house. On second thought, it’s good that it isn’t so convenient. I might not leave if it was. What a great place.

This bar deserves a negative «no star» they have a pool table but there is no room to shoot pool! DON’T EAT THE FOOD you might get food poisoning…
Only a few choices on the jukebox the selection was mostly Country and old school.
I waited 20 minutes for the bartender to serve me when he finally did he had no clue how to make it and it taste like mostly juice!
TRUST ME I’d would rather pay higher prices for a good drink, than feel like I’ve been robbed.
As they say… «you get what you pay for» Im from outta town and was very disappointed that I couldn’t hang out without somebody getting into a fight or bothering me.
Not to mention… The bathroom is so close to the bar you can smell someone taking a #2 EWWW! I had to move bars tools and it still didn’t help.
The owner doesn’t care about «his» customers or even try to make sure nothing happens… NO SECURITY EITHER AND VERY SMALL PLACE…
No dance floor… It’s REALLY a SHAME when you get accused of something you didn’t say or do. The owner Bob thinks domestic violence is ok as long as he can see it happening… SAD.
THIS BAR IS DIVEY AND HAS NO CLASS.

This is definitely a neighborHood bar, if you want a drink like you would make yourself at home, then this is the place. They have a digital jukebox that needs to be updated. Every floorboard creaks, and if walked acrossed you feel the aftershock with every step. I walked in not expecting to converse with anyone (wanted to be left alone that day), but the customers will involve you in their strange, unusual, funny conversations. One day I will be back. Well I went back and since then they undergone a nice change of upgrading the place under new management with Robert (Bob). The floor been fixed so you don’t feel like you’re going to fall through, and there’s a lot more selections of drinks. Budweisers are cheaper then any other beers.

Why do I even have to give this place 1 star to begin with? That’s probably the worst part of this experience. Bob BOB ! He called his own employer a B**tch in front of everyone! What kind of bs is that ?! The lady btw Rochelle is amazingly no where near the b word ! She’s amazing ! A hard worker who caters to her customers! I love her ! U go there ask for her and also go there and say how could u possibly insult her in front of the public like that? She didn’t deserve that at all ! I honestly am going back so he know who wrote this ! Mr Bob, you are so disgusting, u lost so much respect from me I will never look at u the same way. How dare u disrespect a woman like that. But than again, just being who u are I know women aren’t ur type and u shown that tonight. Take better care of your employees and stop acting like a b*+ch yourself.

So I have to start this by saying I love the spotless restrooms!!! Secondly the characters inside are true dive bar material. The décor has a city SF/​NYC VIBE. If there is food it’s good and gone quickly. Neiborhood good bar everyone is welcome! No matter what team u cheer for in sports or in your sexual preference. Well behaved dogs allowed but if your fido is a fightO Service dog or not goodbye you. I love it here

Nice, friendly, fun local bar! Very diverse crowd. Straight, gay, black, white, old, young, etc! Love the bartender Matt and of course the owner too, Bob. Pool table, juke box, dance if you like… I do! Clean bathrooms and bar itself is very clean. Lots of parking right out front. Convienent location. I always feel safe there. Bob is always holding BBQ’s or an event of some sort. Did I say I love Matt the bartender? LOL

One of the best if not the best bar in san leandro. Great music free pool on sundays and great bartenders and a great owner. The owner wants to make sure that everyone in there is happy. He has food durring happy hour which is monday-​friday 4−7pm. The drinks are strong and the bartenders are awesome. The tuesday-​friday day tender, Judy, is a riot and all around fun to be around. The owner tends on saturday nights and its guaranteed to be a huge party. The monday day bartender helps out on saturday night, so drink service is prompt and on point all night. Matt, the monday tender is funnier than hell and pours a hell of a drink. He can make ya laugh all day and has an endless supply of funny stories and one liners. If you want a good drink, great people, and a fun place to grab a drink to end the day this is the place to go!

fun local bar. me and my daughter and my friends brought the fun. we played songs on the jukebox they probably didn’t even know they had and we DANCED in the aisles. As we left, some of the regulars thanked us for the «entertainment». hey, we have fun wherever we go! The place was very very clean and very friendly.

Comfortable dive bar with great prices. Nice bartenders that pour generously.

Great place

Stopped in Friday night to check out the place and it just so happens that it was the Grand Opening of the renovated bar. Small bar, perhaps can fit 25 people, but I like what they did with the place, very clean dive/​sports bar, they have a full bar, 1 pool table, clean restrooms, bartenders were older ladies (eh) and there was too many of them, crowd is diverse and age 35 – 50, they have a music jukebox and spoke with the NEW owner his name is Bob, he was nice.
