We get our dog’s nails trimmed here. They do a fantastic job and are very accommodating to our little pup. She doesn’t do well with new faces and can get rather pissy when she gets her nails done. The fine staff at Pet Image allow us to hold and comfort here while they do their thing. Two minutes later, we’re out the door. They’re fast, friendly, and accommodating; what more can you ask for? Price? It’s a little steeper than the other groomers in the area but convenience and their overall attitude make up for it.
We’ve never got Juno groomed here because she has short hair. However, the work they do looks top notch.

I noticed a couple of negative reviews here and wanted to comment. The staff at pet image has always delivered for us and even at a time when we had a dog that got so matted she needed to be shaved all over. They never judged us — only helped — and now we have a new rescue dog who is afraid of her own shadow and they have managed to help me get her bathed and her nails cut — twice now.
Really these guys are pretty amazing — I have had great experiences always and I wouldn’t listen too much to the reviews that say I took my dog there x months ago and now they cut him too short — or it cost too much — or «insert indignation here».
Unless your pup has really short fur and you keep them brushed daily — they are going to need a professional grooming — every 5 to 6 weeks just like us humans — and I’m guessing cutting a dog’s hair — which is all over their body — can’t be nearly as easy as a human who sits nicely in chair and turns their head when asked — all I’m saying is try doing it yourself if you think these guys are so bad — you may see that their job with little fluffy is a lot harder than you think!

There is a reason why I am rating this place with one star. I love to support local business, and I never write bad reviews, but this place pushed my buttons. This place is nice, clean, good location and very busy. I found this place on Unilocal and by reading great reviews I decided to bring my dog in.
I have a Pomeranian and Poodle mix puppy that has a beautiful white-​peachy fur. The first time I took my dog I wanted him to get a nice trim. While I was there the groomer advice that I cut his hair short because it was knotted. So we did, his hair was short but he looked okay. I also bought a few brushes from them, so next time we would not have to cut his hair short. From there I maintained my dogs hair by brushing it every day, so it won’t get knotted.
After 5 months I took my dog back for a trim. I dropped him off at 9am and asked for a approximate time for a pick up. The receptionist said that he should be ready by 1pm. At 1pm I received a call asking for a permission to «cut his hair a little shorter». Assuming that «a little shorter» meant an inch or so I gave them permission. Knowing that I brushed his hair every day I wouldn’t think it would be necessary to cut his hair shorter but I trusted the groomer.
When I arrived for a pick up at 2:30pm I couldn’t believe my eyes. I couldn’t recognize my dog! He look absolutely horrible! (you may judge by looking at the picture) The groomer excuse that my dogs fur was extremely knotted and that he was very difficult and wouldn’t allowed anyone to cut his hair. His is a small dog! How in the world you couldn’t control him? They completely shaved my dogs fur! Now he looks like a cat that has no hair!
I was shocked, they charged me $ 70 and I tipped $ 10. I will never come back to this place I would highly recommend everyone to stay away from this place! I will make sure to share this horrible experience with my family, friends and everyone in general! They are not professional groomers as they claim to be! Such a bazaar experience!
Please look at the picture and tell me that I am wrong ?!
My recommendation is to stay away from this place if you love your furry friend!

Bentley has been coming here for 3 years! Great service. Pet grooming is always perfect. You can even do your own wash if you like. Staff is knowledgeable and wonderful!

This was my first time coming here and just know they have a new client! I brought my 2 year old poodle mix to get a groom because his hair was a hot mess!
I called this morning and scheduled an appointment for 1:30. The girl on the phone was really nice. I arrived around 1:45 but it was not a problem at all. All I did was give them my dog and they told me they’ll call me when he was ready.
Be prepared to have your dog there for a couple of hours though because I didn’t get a call until 4:45. (I did call around 4 just to check in and they said he wouldn’t be ready until 6! Luckily that was not the case)
Once I got there she told me how much of a good boy he was and he looked like a teddy bear! They did warn me that they have to cut his hair short due to matting but that was fine. He came out a lot better than I thought. The full service is $ 65 and Messi and I left real happy:)

Great haircut for my dog! This was my first time, and I love the cleanliness of the shop and the cut is just beautiful.

Brought my dog here for a self wash… it was my first time there. no direction as to where everything was… towels and brushes weren’t the cleanest. had to ask for cotton swobs for the dogs ears… not the most helpful people… I think this place is the kind of place that would get the job done but wouldn’t recommend it myself… that being said its not likely Ill be back…

Brought our pup over for a quick bath since we have not had time to bathe him. He came out all clean and perfect. He smelled nice and not all perfumy like other salons that I had taken him to in the past. He’s not the easiest dog to handle yet was a sweet puppy in Leah’s arms (sorry I messed up the spelling of your name). If you want to treat your pup to a good spa day, this is the place. Thank you! We gave a 4 stars because the staff are not friendly and cheerful. Should I blame the manager for this? Also the price we were told was not the same price we were asked to pay. So perhaps it would be better if we could settle the fees up front?

This is Chester second time here. They always do a good job on our little chub chub. He always come back nice and fluffy and not to mention he smells delicious. It’s a bit pricy but nothing is to expensive for our Chester specially if the job is done right. They also sell the items that they put on your doggy. I definitely recommend this place and did I mention how nice and the staff is. Very clean too.

We Love this place, we always take our dog! They are always nice and they do an amazing job all the time we take Sasha there! Very clean and in a nice area! Their prices are good too! This place is worth it!

If I could give Pet Image all the stars in the Universe, I would! Pet Image takes amazing care of my dog, and I wouldn’t go anywhere else for grooming. They are extremely professional, knowledgeable, and incredible at what they do. The shop itself, is clean and elegant looking, and I feel like I’m walking into a prestige «human» salon. They even can color your dog’s hair, and paint nails! If you are ever looking for a great groomer, go to Pet Image!!!

First off, WOW. My Pomeranian looks great!
I wanted a place that specialized and focused only on grooming for my dog instead of taking him to the usual «Pet Smart» grooming…- soooo I decided to make an appointment with «Pet Image».
I’m always very hesitant to trust anyone with my little buddy and his beautiful hair… but as I walked into this cuute shop with good looking poodles getting groomed on the table tops I thought I’d give the place a chance.
I had my Pom get a full service so they had him for the day. As soon as I came to pick him up he was so happy and clean cut! Cute as ever! I must say they did a very good job. His hair is very detailed and I loved how they took cared for him.
All in all I am very satisfied and impressed with their work. I will definitely be back! Thank you Pet Image!

Was my first time coming here and it was also my first time grooming my pup since it was his birthday :). The receptionist was very assuring and I felt very comfortable leaving him with them. I really do appreciate her in taking time to explain to me what they were going to do and making me feel like he was in great hands. Very cute that they watch movies and take their time in making him feel comfortable. It was for a very good price as well I believe I dropped him off at 12 and received a call around 4 that he was ready and I paid $ 65.

Wow, I can’t believe I haven’t written a review yet. We have three toy poodles. They require regular grooming and our experiences with groomers in the east bay have been mixed. Some are wildly expensive. Some don’t do a decent job. A few have so upset our (normally mellow) little dogs that we’re never going back. The one we liked the best was a bit too far away.
Then Pet Image moved to our neighborhood. They are professional, understand poodles and poodle grooming, and the price is reasonable. The dogs always look delighted to leave (hey, they don’t LIKE being left anywhere) but they have never looked frightened or upset, just happy to see Mom.
I love this place. They take good care of our sweeties. I am a picky person when it comes to poodle groomers, and I recommend Pet Image.

My favorite place ever! Little Foots comes here to get pampered for the holidays and his birthday. I love the way they groom him, he comes out soon cute! Last time I took him to petsmart and he came out looking like a little kid just grabbed scissors and cut his hair. I seriously do love this place, and foots does too. I will never go anywhere else! And the prices are actual low compared to other places, and those other places aren’t as good as here.

Before this place opened up I was taking my cat to get her haircut in Oakland or Albany. I was so happy to find out that a pet grooming place that takes cats opened up closer to my home.
I take my Mainecoon for a lioncut 3 – 4 times a year. They do such a great job here. She comes home so soft, pretty and smelling good. They are also great with cats.
Highly recommended!

It was Louie Jasper’s first adult wheaten terrier haircut time. I was recommended by a friend. I was worried he wouldn’t look like I wanted him to but when I picked him up he was very happy clean and seemed very relaxed. So cute while they wait or on break they get to watch tv in a quiet room. It’s very precious !! Thank you! Elena groomed him!

I love this place. I take both of my dogs here. The people here are courteous, they are efficient and even though my dogs are difficult they manage them with ease. It’s $ 100 of well spend money. Couldn’t be happier that this place came into business.

Called to set up a hand-​stripping appointment for my Cairn Terrier mix in early June. We agreed on the date of June 28^th. FOUR DAYS before the agreed upon date, they called to tell me that their hand stripper apparently decided to take a vacation and that they’d have to push my appointment out almost two weeks later. I don’t know what kind of business they run that their hand stripper can ditch appointments or they make appointments that their employees have already put in vacation for, but it’s not a business that I want to take my dog to or give my money to.
I’ll be looking elsewhere for a quality groomer.

I brought my shih tzu here for the first time based off of all the positive Unilocal reviews. Sadly, I would have to say my experience was a-​ok.
The service was stellar from the moment I called to book the appt, to drop off and pick up. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They even gave my little guy a gift — stuffed animal toy and leash. The salon itself is very clean.
The reason why my vote is 3 stars is because I specifically gave them a picture of how my dog was previously cut and what I wanted. When I picked him up, his hair was cut too short. I asked why — they said that even though my husband showed them a picture of the cut, they thought a rounded shorter cut will look better. Really? For $ 65, they should be able to let me decide how I want my dog cut.
Instead of whining, which generally does not solve anything — the front desk staff was so friendly that I ended up just letting it go. Sadly, I am a little hesitant to bring my little guy there again.
