Yes absolutely as good as it gets. Achilles surgery and recovery after numerous problems elsewhere. NOT here, everything was perfect. Between Dr. Ternus and Dr. Sith, I am a very happy ex-​patient. Dr. Ternus is the best and I am so fortunate to have found him. Unknown to me I had a very serious infection in my left foot the first time I went to see Dr. Ternus (May 2015). Dr. Ternus strongly encouraged me to go to the ER … long story short I was admitted to the hospital where Dr. Ternus and his team began a two week battle to save my leg and probably my life. It took 8 surgeries but Dr. Ternus was able to knock out the infection and save all but about 4 inches of my foot, a remarkable outcome considering what could have happened … after the last surgery several of the OR nurses came to me and used the word «genius» to describe Dr. Ternus’ skill and expertise, and I wholeheartedly agree. Yet as grateful as I am for all of his skill, knowledge and abilities I am just as grateful for his manner, his professionalism and his sense of humor. He was always straightforward and honest with me during the whole process without being overly clinical and never melodramatic, and I was supremely confident that everything he did was in my best interests. At the same time he was also considerate and very kind, compassionate and caring … he is a terrific doctor, an extremely talented surgeon and a guy you would love to have over for a beer and some BBQ. I cannot recommend Peter Ternus highly enough … he truly is THE BEST!

Words cannot express how thankful I am for Dr. Ternus.
I came in not knowing what the cause of my foot pain was. I told Dr. Ternus my symptoms and 2 minutes later he was able to identify what the cause was. I had a gout flare up.
Dr Ternus proceeded to educate me about gout, the reasons why, the treatments and even went as far as explaining everything in thorough detail. He is not the ordinary doctor who rushes to get you out of their office.
I told Dr. Ternus my situation with my insurance coverage. He was not pushy on trying to get me to burn money on uncessary X-​Rays or MRIs. However I was able to tell him my situation with my crappy insurance coverage and he was generous enough to cut me some slack.
There arent many decent Doctors in San Leandro, if you’re like me I often drive to the city or Fremont just to find someone worth going to. Dr. Ternus is definitely someone you can trust. Its a shame that he does not have more reviews than this.

I needed a good foot doctor and I found Dr. Peter Ternus on the net. I have been to him 3 times with 3 different painful foot issues. I am totally pain free now, thanks to the Doc. He has a great personality and very timely. He really is an expert at what he does and a great find. I am a runner and stand all day for my job. I am very relieved to have found such a great Podiatrist.
