Great place! I recently brought in my Honda for a transmission fluid change and brake system flush. When I came in, I thought I needed to do a bunch of other random things, but John is very clear about what actually needs to be done. He doesn’t try and sell you on unnecessary work. He even told me what items on my list I didn’t need to do at this time. That level of honesty is rare to find in an auto service shop. John is very friendly and professional. On top of all this, he delivers on time! He told me he’d have my car ready by 11am, and he called me at 10:45am to let me know my car was ready! I will definitely be bringing my car back for future service with him!
Highly recommend the place and like other reviews have said, they’re really quite busy and very well liked! Ran into a return customer while I was there and she adored John and his team.

What more could I say that hasn’t been said before! Between John and his Super Mechanic, these guys have a formula for success. Straightforward, honest, and all around good people. I have made appointments with no problem or very last minute problems with little to no fuss. Did I mention, they are VERY reasonable… San Leandro’s finest!

Honestly the best place I’ve ever brought my car! John takes great care of my Toyota and he’s also super friendly, honest and professional. I used to go to the dealership but now i wouldn’t take Any of my cars anywhere else!

Special thanks to John… I had a problem with a smog fail test and i called him up, he was so nice that he asked me to bring the reports to check. I went and i realized im dealing with a real professional. He figured out the error in the report when the smog station technician couldn’t. I went back to the smog station, told them what their mistake was and my car passed the test. John is not only a professional, but also a decent and a respectful person.

My family and I have used Windsor Square Auto for well over a decade on a variety of cars and issues. We have ALWAYS been impressed with the service and value we receive from John. Finding a good mechanic at a decent price is hard. However, finding an honest mechanic can be even harder. I have no doubts that John has been straight up with us regarding our repairs. I absolutely recommend Windsor square auto without hesitation. As long as I am in the area, I will never go elsewhere.

I’ve been going here for 10+ years — simply the best. Oil changes, brakes, timing belts, you name it on several different cars and they always do an exceptional job while beating everyone else’s prices. John, the owner, is super personable and will be honest with you about your repairs, letting you know if something isn’t necessary or when recommending specific services. I’m living in the Central Valley now but bring my car here whenever I can because of the quality of the service. Highly recommended.

I never write reviews but had to because of the service i got today. Stopped by after getting quotes from a few other shops in the area. Only place that didnt try to overcharge and leave estimates open to be charged for more things later. Owner was honest and upfront about what was needed which i totally respected. Hard to find mechanics like that nowadays. Plus the price was really affordable compared to others. Im surprised this place doesnt have more reviews.

Very honest and very well priced. Had a chat with John (owner) he has had the place over 25 years. Smaller place but quality of work is great. Get an oil change or fix your cars problems and go hangout at the fresh fruit supermarket across the street!

John — The owner is great. He provides a great service at a great price. A true honest mechanic. A must for trustworty service you can depend on. When he is unable to do a repair (A.C.) he will send you to a reliable person who can.

This place is an excellent place to get a tune up or to get smog tests done. They all seem to be really honest guys here and they are always working on cars so they must be doing something right. I’ve been going here for a while now and they have always been helping me through my automobile troubles. The only thing that I don’t really like is the wait before they can work on my car. That’s the drawback of them always working on vehicles. Too bad they aren’t a bigger mechanical shop and can only work on so many cars at a time.
