This is a neighborhood liquor store, mostly a hispanic population. This store recently started selling freshly baked cookies, to cater to the nearby schools, and constantly have promotions going on. I believe they are in the process of updating there store, changing counters, painting the building etc.

Was here last night visiting my cousin that works there, i must say the place is nicely organized and clean, they have pretty good parking in the back, my only complaint is the construction in front of the store that is causing a hindrance to their business. They have one of the cheapest prices for ciggs, i paid $ 4.60 for a pack of camel crush, you cannot beat that anywhere in the east bay.

Model’s beers are moderately priced with the microbrews priced slighty higher. some posted prices are relatively cheap so one should comparison shop here. there may be unpriced beers here. look for the sticker on top. they also have many types of soft drinks, hard tiquor, snacks, and canned groceries. pour: lagunitas ipa india pale ale, 22 oz, 6.2%, 4.49) –not so strong brew, still tasty, buzz m.i.a. –lighter tasting ipa. –on draught not a big selection in big bottles.

I will stop by Model liquors II anytime I’m heading towards Hayward to visit friends,(yes I have friends who live in Hayward don’t judge me). I usually go to the back and grab a bunch of Four Loko’s,(flavored malt beverages that have roughly 10−12% alcohol each) and head straight for the counter. Last time I checked they were just under $ 2 a piece. They also have Earthquakes, which are beers made by the same company(which also have a higher alcohol content). Their liquor prices are average, but some things are cheaper here. Of coarse all the other non alcoholic items here range from average price to the overpriced standard you would expect from a corner store. They stay open pretty late for their location. The guys who work here are nice and moderately knowledgeable and this is probably my second favorite liquor store in all of Hayward,(even if it is in the unincorporated section). CHAD
