My husband, a native Spanish speaker, had been going here for years before we got together. When we got married, we continued to get our taxes done here.
Yesterday was the first time I went there without my Latino husband, and I received abominable service from the lady who prepares the return.
I waited with my toddler for an hour while she was helping the people who had come in before me. When it was our turn, she waved me over to her desk, and was on the phone speaking loudly to them. I waited as I sat and then set our papers before her. She started our taxes while continuing the conversation.
She finally got off the phone, and without greeting me with a «welcome» or even a «hello» or «hola» she asked an interrogative question about our situation. It came off rather rude. I responded, and she continued working and took another call.
She ended that call and then asked for a tax form that should have been sent to me, but I didn’t really know anything about it. I hadn’t received it, but knew that I could access it online – the organization I am affiliated with has EVERYTHING online. I tried to access it through my phone, but of course the battery was dying and the connection was horrible. I asked if there were a way I could access it through their computers. «No.»
I continued struggling with my phone. She got on the phone again. By this time, my toddler started getting restless, and I was feeling unwell because of her sheer unhelpfulness and unkindness. I felt like I was interrupting her calls, her work, her day from the moment she waved me over to her desk. I don’t like feeling like I am bothering somebody, and it is worse when I am paying them for it.
I started to gather my papers to leave. I could hear her quickly wrapping up the conversation (I don’t speak Spanish yet, but I certainly understand it). I explained that I had to go. My child was getting restless (after an hour there, I was proud he was only then becoming restless!), I couldn’t get my phone to work faster, and I had to go. She then became «helpful». She asked if I wanted to use the internet!!! I flatly stated that this is what I had asked in the first place.
I told her that I was leaving. «Are you sure?» Only now she seemed to care.
I came home, retrieved the form from my computer (in less than one minute!!!), and did the taxes myself online! I saved over $ 85 and didn’t get attitude because I am a gringa who doesn’t yet speak Spanish.
Gringo spouses – don’t go here by yourself.
I told my husband what happened, and he promised that we would never go back there again. He was equally appalled by how I was treated.
The other younger lady was very kind, but completely oblivious about what was going on at the other desk. She was busy doing her work. However, she was helpful when I needed to change my toddler’s diaper and was very pleasant. I wish she was the person who I dealt with instead.

It’s tax season again, I have been coming here for the last 5 years and continue to get great service each time, with a friendly staff and always ready to answer any questions. Some people prefer to go to the bigger name locations but you will end up paying more I’m sure for the same amount of money you are getting back.
Staffs speak both Spanish and English and are very fast in getting you in and out. Parking is very limited only down fall and you may want to call ahead of time to schedule an appointment. Angelica does a great job and i will refer friends and family to this location.
