Though there isn’t a direct retail front, Aerin’s Confections does sell through the Questa Co-​op about two blocks down the road. There isn’t a better brownie in SLO County, as far as I’m concerned.
Probably top 2 – 3 brownies all time, as a matter of fact. Moist, dense, rich, hint of coconut. And even gluten-​free, if that’s important to you. Marlena typically bakes a couple of different items daily, and really, there’s not a bad item out of the bunch. But again, if you’re forced to choose, can’t go wrong with her brownies. I ate one today, and I’ll likely be back for another tomorrow.
Don’t take my word for it, try one. And though I haven’t done one of her cakes (weddings/parties/et.al.), they look fabulous. Someday I’ll order one…

I forgot in my tip to mention the amazing zucchini muffins and monster cookies. The monster cookies are peanut butter, oatmeal, choclate chip, and m&m. Amazing! Any time anyone needs any bakery item, I always recommend Airen’s!
