Mitzi is so friendly and very knowledgable about the wines. I thoroughly enjoyed tasting the wines and visiting with her. I will definitely go back!

Excellent boutique wines in a modest and unlikely setting, but like the wines themselves, it has lots of character & charm. The wines are varied, rich and original fruity reds with bold flavors and not too much tannin. Mitzy was our fun and knowledgeable host who poured and educated us about the wines and the history of the place, and gave us an interesting and fun experience. Highly recommended, and well worth a short detour off the main highway to seek out. We will return again!

Love this place! Leaving with the best feeling. Owned/run by great people… Who happen to also make great wine! Checked it out while in town with my boyfriend because we saw the great Unilocal reviews. Certainly didn’t disappoint! Definitely suggest stopping by if you’re in the area!

I love this place. My boyfriend and I discovered it on our first date over three years ago and have been coming back faithfully ever since(and now we’re members!). Mitzi is always super friendly and never fails to remember us even when significant time has lapsed between visits. One Christmas, she even went above and beyond in helping me choose wines as a gift for my mechanic brother, who loved the car labels. Highly recommend this gem.

What a find! Love the dolce vino and the merlot! Secret: ask for Carol’s chocolates with that«dolce vino». Incredibly delicious. Service was awesome! Drink local. Love the chill attitude at Cerro Caliente.

I emailed Misty to set up a tasting for a bachelorette party and she responded very quickly. She was so wonderful– the room was decorated with a special menu for the bride, she has some light refreshments set out and was so sweet. The wines are great and the tasting room is very cute. I highly recommend stopping by. She made our trip.

WOW! Our wine tasting group had an outing to Cerro Caliente Cellars on Sunday. The tasting room and the room next door were decorated for our group and Misty had set out some plates, napkins, cheeze and crackers to add to the food we brought. She is a wonderful host, the atmosphere was inviting, and the wine is excellent. Thanks for a great event.

Excellent service. Cute little tasting room. Misty is so friendly! Their wines are on the late harvest side but produce a surprising complexity and tasty finish.

Wonderful little place! My hubby and I were in town for a wedding and had some time to kill. We googled wineries close by and this one came up first. We were unsure about it from first glance — it’s in an auto body shop. But Unilocal had good reviews so we walked in.(FYI — the tasting room is to the left and back a few doors :)) And there was a little confusion in the beginning about some stuff but once we got settled in, Mitzi took great care of us. It was just us 3 and we had a blast tasting and chatting. The wine was delicious and we really enjoyed our experience. Thanks Mitzi for everything! We highly recommend this place. It’s low-key and sweet and the whole family is wonderful. We had a great time! Def. will visit again when we come back to SLO! — Ryan & Jen from LBC :)

Best wines around! Such a great hidden secret in SLO! The people here are great, events are awesome and the food gives the wine a run for its money! It is all family owned and operated and you’re sure to run into the wine maker or his daughter any given day there! Be sure to try their signature blend, Multi Viscosity!

The people here are great people! The wine is definitely a favorite. Several different varietals available and some incredible blends. The artwork around the tasting room isn’t your typical wineries, it helps liven the place up. I highly recommend coming here to try when in San Luis Obispo wine tasting.

I hate to be hard on these folks since they’re nice, down to earth people. But visitors should know what they’re tasting here. Essentially every wine seemed to be made in an oxidative style with very ripe fruit. So even though the wines are all varietal wines, they tend to all taste alike with porty, dried fruit and butterscotch aromas. If you are used to wines made in a reductive style that highlights fresh fruit, these are not for you! If it was just stylistic, I wouldn’t have a problem. To each his own. But they stressed heavily that they were interested in expressing each varietal. That’s a problem when the winemaking approach homogenizes, be it oak, super-ripe fruit or oxidation. The Pinot and the Zin were indistinguishable – that’s bad news from a varietal wine standpoint. It’s worth a try to see if you prefer this style of wine – you might even really like it. But I didn’t and have to take exception to their stressing of varietals when they are really a «house style» winery.

This winery was a really good find. All their wines are VERY good especially for the price. It is a family run business, and they are always very nice. Check them out immediately.

I LOVETHISWINERY! What a find! Location doesn’t matter, good wine is what matters! And this winery serves up some very nice wine. They have a large selection of varietals, so everyone can find something they like. And the folks that run the place are the nicest unpretentious people. Makes the experience even better! Cheers!

It wasn’t your typical tasting room. Set in an industrial area, I knew something was up when I felt I could taste wine AND get my car detailed at the same time. Once inside the spacious tasting room, clarity hit. The owner, don Peters used to make wine as a hobby. However, his main job was as a mechanic. Soon, his hobby took on a life of it’s own. From what I understand, they don’t grow the grapes themselves but they purchase them and make their wines. This family run business was really endearing. Friendly and informative, the highlight is their Multi-Viscosity…what they like to refer to as a propietary blend of Cab, Merlot and Cab Franc… which once we aerated it for a bit the wine had some really nice layers.
