New owners are not cool. The funny part about it is, the old owners daughters name was Emily and they had pictures of her on the wall like u were supporting her education or something. 1 year later, sold to some weird dudes with no work ethic and brand new Chevy camaros lol. It’s still called Emilys Cinnamon Rolls tho hahahaha. Don’t fall for the hype

What is their not to love about cinnamon rolls? We stopped here on our last trip to SLO. We enjoyed it very much. Its a very small place with bench seating only. Very clean and nice employees. We ordered the raspberry swirl and ate it their. It was fluffly and not to overly sweet with the frosting. We also bought the apple cinnamon and a regular one to take back to our friends. We took a bite of each one and for me the frosting over took the roll. You could not taste the cinnamon or the apple flavors in each. I highly reccomend the rasberry one!

My lovely wife had this on our list of food in SLO she wanted to try after coffee. We pulled up and the service was great and the choices were clear and fresh. Having not eaten a ton of sugar lately it was a rich and sweet roll but damn good! We brought some home for friends and they were eaten before we could blink.

My husband went to pick up cinnamon rolls I ordered this morning and took an Emily’s Gift Certificate we recieved just last month from a friend and apparently the business is under new ownership now. The new owner wouldn’t accept the gift certificate as payment. He said he didn’t have an agreement with the previous owner to accept gift certificates. When my husband got home with the cinnamon rolls, he said he had to pay the entire amount for the rolls we ordered! I asked where the gift certificate was and my husband said the owner took it but still charged him. I called the owner to ask why he wouldn’t take the gift certificate and he replied, «I did take it». Seriously?!? «Yes», I said, «you took it but wouldn’t honor it!» He replied with the same answer he gave my husband so I told him I wouldn’t be doing business with him anymore if that’s how he treats customers and he said«okay» and hung up on me. I DONOTRECOMMENDTHISBUSINESS! The new owner was rude and will not honor gift certificates from the recent, previous owner, even though the name of the business has not changed AND he still makes and sells the exact same products! I looked this up online as I know there are laws in California regarding gift certificates and found this(I’m not into suing, but interesting food for thought to would-be customers or business owners out there): Bryan R. R. Whipple, Attorney at Law 4 users found helpful 0 attorneys agreed Re: Does a new business owner have to honor contracts made between previous owner? It doesn’t sound to me as though the gift certificate law applies here, but someone, either the old owner or the new owner, is liable to you. It is fraud for the buyer and seller of a business to fail to provide for claims of customers, suppliers, employees, etc. Ordinarily, the new owner assumes the liabilities of a business as well as acquiring its assets. A transaction can be structured so that the new owner doesn’t assume the liabilities(such as service obligations), but in that event the prior owner must make provision for handling the obligations not assumed by the buyer. They remain his obligations. The foregoing assumes the business was and is a sole proprietorship. If it were a corporation, a change of shareholders would have no effect whatsoever on its liabilities. You should consider sueing both the old and new owners in small claims court, and let them duke it out over which of them has to take care of your service claims. One of them must.

Amazing cinnamon rolls. I’d say it was a bit expensive, but they are delicious.

I have heard the rolls are good, but can’t attest to that as they were closed, during their normal business hours, each of the 3 times I have driven across town to get treats for the staff. Twice there have been signs taped to the door noting someone would be back, but no time estimate given. The third, and final, time they were closed with no explanation. Apparently you have to go to farmer’s if you want to try them. I won’t be back.

I’ve only had the Raspberry Swirl Cinnamon Rolls, but that’s enough to have me sold. Great raspberry flavor, soft bun on the outside and fluffy inside, amazing. Kind of bummed they weren’t around when I was going to Poly, but probably was best for my waistline ;) Sweet and comforting treat for when I’m visiting SLO.

The pictures don’t do justice to what you get. No matter the choice, you can be sure that you will be delighted by the flavors and textures of their rolls. The traditional rolls are still the best choice.

Delicious, fresh and homemade cinnamon rolls! We bought 2 at the Thursday Farmers Market in SLO, and the woman/proprietor(?) was very friendly and courteous. This is a family run business, which appeals to me as well.

Soft and fresh cinnamon rolls. The bun is very present, but light so didn’t get in the way of the cinnamon or cream cheese frosting. Just about the right amount of cinnamon and frosting so not overwhelming. Got a dozen for $ 25 and we finished them off. Customer service was friendly and helpful.

Delicious cinnamon rolls that melt in your mouth. We bought half a dozen to take home. We had the traditional raspberry swirl – both are scrumptious. We showed up as they were closing. They stayed open and even gave us free refills on our iced coffee. They invited us to stay and eat our rolls inside even though they were officially closed. Great product! Great service! I would definitely come back.

My first experience with Emily’s was at Avila’s farmers market on Friday night. A lady named Laura helped me and was super friendly. At the market, the rolls were $ 3 for 1 or $ 5 for 2. Original rolls were my favorite. The expected the apple ones to be filled with apple but I didn’t find any in there — kind of disappointed. I’ll definitely be back if craving some yummy cinnamon rolls and I’ll stick to the originals… but I may have to try the pumpkin ones in the Fall! Yum!

Good. Not sure what all the hype is about. With all the rave reviews and the $ 4 a bun price tag, I was expecting more. I got the pecan sticky bun. It was good. The bun was fresh, soft, filled with cinnamon, and generously topped with sticky syrup and finely chopped pecans. It was small and I was expecting it to be more. More buttery. More decadent. More.

Didn’t know about this place until recently and I decided to check it out for breakfast! My girlfriend and I were greeted kindly by the owner and were quickly given a run down of all the different cinnamon roll options. I chose the Nutella banana roll and my girlfriend got the traditional roll. Great ooey gooey melt-in-your-mouth flavor that left me with a hankering for more! I’ll surely be coming back soon. If you have any common sense at all and you enjoy a good cinnamon roll, do yourself a favor and give Emily’s Cinnamon Rolls a try.

This cinnamon roll is the softest, freshest, I’ve ever had. The cinnamon is packed with flavor without being raw or overly spicy. The cream cheese icing is light(not like a dense carrot cake icing) with a well balanced taste of cream cheese, butter, and sugar. I opted for a quick microwave zap, which blended all the warmth and flavor into a mouth watering wow. I hope they offer shipping some day, ’cause I’m not local. This is one awesome shop!

Soft and chewy, rolls melt in your mouth. The bread is über soft and airy, not dense and chewy like most rolls. Why do I not say cinnamon rolls? Its because they have a cornucopia of rolls to choose from, cinnamon rolls, pecan rolls, pumpkin rolls, and raspberry rolls. The swirling filling varies depending on the name of the roll, go figure. Yum. I give a full 4 stars for the pumpkin and pecan rolls. The coffee. This is not a coffee place, technically they do have coffee but I would only get it if you were currently in coffee withdraws. Don’t judge me people. My coffee had been weakly brewed 25 minutes prior and was in a sad state of decomposition. As such I will no longer call it coffee. The oil separated from the emulsion and had a mildly gritty mouthy feel. The texture was reminiscent of the granules in toothpaste but in diluted liquid form. No points off for the coffee as the owner did tell me upfront, its not a Star-mucks(also not my fav) Lets face it not everyone is as insane about their coffee as me so if you are just a regular coffee drinker you will be fine. So go here. Order one roll for yourself and eat it right on the spot, then order more rolls to share with your family(yes order yourself another one– you don’t want them to suspect anything, then order some to take to your coworkers but instead eat them all on your way to work. Yay rolls.

I came into Emily’s cinnamon rolls about a year ago. It was my first time coming in and I had come with my parents to fetch my grandpa a cinnamon roll. My grandpa was 94 at the time, it was only a few weeks before he passed away. My grandpa LOVED cinnamon rolls and we had asked him if he wanted us to sneak him one(he was in an old folks home. They weren’t letting him eat his favorite foods). It was sad for all of us to see him there, but on this particular day the mention of a cinnamon roll perked him right up. So anyways, we got there around closing and unfortunately they were all out of cinnamon rolls. We ended up sharing our story with the owner and he asked us where he was staying and offered to personally deliver my grandpa fresh cinnamon rolls the next day. So unbelievably kind this man was. Now every time I pass Emily’s cinnamon rolls I can’t help but think of my grandpa and admire what an awesome place this is. Amazing owners and staff. It’s a given that the cinnamon rolls are fantastic as well :) try it out. This is the kind of business that deserves all of our support!

Softest tastiest cinnamon rolls ever! You have to try this place. I first tried them at the farmers market on Thursday night downtown. They gave me a coupon to come back but I tell you it wasn’t the coupon that sold it… I couldn’t stop thinking about them. Truth this is my 3rd time back! I love Emily’s!!!
