Great park and centrally located. It has a big play area for toddlers to bigger kids. There is a lot of grass and the facilities are adequate.

Oh this park has it all! I love that there is a liquor store right there on the corner where I can go and get my drank on. Nothing says hanging out downtown in the park like a brown bag of Night Train or blue Mad Dog. After a bottle or two I can take a nice nap in the public restrooms. No one ever gives me a second look when I am lost in thought talking to myself and stabling around with a broken umbrella and duct tape shoes. The whole park kind of smells like my old shirt that I washed back in the 90’s then wore everyday since. It’s a good park. Let’s party!

Daughter loves this park, one of the best play structures in SLO. Also one of the best places for a kid to find other kids to play with. Since we only have 1 kid, this is important. Homeless can be an issue but are generally polite and keep their distance from the playground. Still good for parents to keep an eye as we have a few issues over the years, mostly with intoxicated people. SLOPD were very responsive and even came over and talked with my daughter and gave her stickers.

Awesome play set!!! Our son(1 and ½ years) REALLY likes this park. Lots of homeless, but they don’t loiter around the play areas unlike Santa Rosa park. However, they’ve kind of taken over the grassy areas and the gazebo in the center. Not that I have anything against them, but our little guy is pretty social so he keeps running up to them while they’re sleeping, brown bag and all. Still, play area is new and great! Different sized swings and play areas for toddlers and older kids.

What a sweet park, a little out of the main stream of town, in the sleepy village is Mitchell Park. A popular spot for lunch with parking on all four sides(wow a whole city block), The park is well maintained with a nice new gazebo, lending to the character of the park and making it a location for many events, of all kinds! Come enjoy, lunch, a picnic, a playground for the kids, or just a break from being indoors! one deli across the street and one down the block and well take a break and enjoy your life!
