I had a misfortune the event with my sisters cat and my down comforter. Needless to say it needed professional help. It happened on a Thursday and luckily I was able to get the comforter in right away. The man that helped me explained a little of the cleaning since it would be difficult to remove. He mentioned it might not be ready till Monday and upon seeing my grimace, I live in north county and it has been COLD at night, he put a rush on it. 24hrs later it was ready for pick up. Two new people helped me at pick up as friendly and nice as the first and they gave me a discount as a new customer. I have never dry cleaned anything before but I know where I will go from now on. Paul’s is the BEST!

I’ve been using Paul’s for probably 30 years. They are fantastic. Never a problem, always professional, and cleaned items consistently look great. Typically things are even done prior to the day they say they will be.

Having just moved to the area, I was in need of some easy dry cleaning: dress shirts. Didn’t think to bother to look at the per shirt price until I had already dropped them off and was headed back to my car: but they charged me $ 7 to launder and press each shirt. Thought to myself«well, everything’s more expensive in California, right?» Nope! Have found multiple other cleaners in the area that charge more normal rates for dress shirts — ya know, the standard $ 2 – 3 per range. Nice folks, cute place, clearly a SLO fixture: but it’s highway robbery.

I was recommended here by a client of mine who happened to be a previous employee. After taking in two different orders this is the place I will be coming to. Very friendly family oriented business. Prices are comparable and working at a bank I wear suits everyday so it’s nice having a 20% discount for bank employees I have never heard of that but it’s a great plus. Wish I had been coming to them sooner but now I am a convert and a new customer(I live in Morro Bay but I will drive here to use their services). A+

Efficient, friendly, helpful. I left my phone on counter once and man ran out and flagged me down in parking lot to give it back. My hero!

Paul ‘s has been around forever. Same interior, ample parking, courteous employees. No frills kind of place. They’ve never lost any of our clothes but I remember a vintage item of someone else that Paul’s «misplaced»…yipes. That would suck.

Always thorough. Always ready on time. Usually friendly. I drive from Pismo to SLO just to go to them. Their hours work great for what I need and they have frequently accommodated my need for next-day availability.

I was never happy with the«cleaning» job done here. I continued to go to this place for I didn’t know of another. And then, once I quit being lazy I went and found amazing dry cleaners and it is Not Paul’s.

What a wonderful experience… from OHNO to OHTHANKYOU. Having just moved to SLO I needed to find a reliable dry cleaners. My first service started off horribly… when I went to pick it up the piece looked worse than when I took it in. But as soon as I pointed out the problem the counter person went and got the owner who personally took it upon himself to make sure I was satisfied. They made every effort to correct the situation and were kind and courteous throughout. Although a mistake was made they rectified it in a timely manner and charged me nothing. Thank you Rod, Pat and Mary

Blond seamstress is terrible. I would avoid having your clothes altered here. She is incompetent and rude. She tried to sell me more expensive alterations and didn’t even know what I meant when I asked for original hem on my jeans. Dry cleaning is fine –so far!

San Luis Obispo is a small town therefore I have tried every dry cleaner available. I can honestly say Paul’s is without a doubt the best in every category. 1. The service is outsanding and the staff consitently calls me by name 2. My clothes are always immpecable and they are able to remove the most stubborn stains 3. Most importantly, the alterations are far above the rest. As a matter of fact they repaired my nice work suits that Mannikin’s(Local Tailor) butchered. I actually thought my suits were ruined and the staff at Paul’s went out of their way to repair my suits and put me at ease. Paul’s is the only dry cleaner I will use in town!

I can’t say enough about this dry cleaners! We had a near disaster for Prom but Paul’s came through and saved the day. They really do go the extra mile. I appreciate that they are still family owned and small town. I will NEVER go to a different dry cleaner again. I am dedicated to Paul’s for life and so is my daughter. We tell everyone we know about that day and how all the Prom preparations would have been for naught had it not been for Pauls. Thank you so much!

They are the worst dry cleaners I have ever been to. I was treated poorly and my clothes were not cleaned appropriately. Not only did they ruin an expensive silk shirt and denied doing so, they overcharged me and they didnt get the rest of my clothes clean; and when I asked them to please try 1 more time they yell at me saying«That’s the best we can do.»… Obviously! And, when I asked to speak with the owner I was rudely told«He is not going to want to deal with something so minor.» I guess they dont value my business! I will never go there again!

This place saved my wedding day. The day before my wedding I went to pick up my dress from the dress shop. To my horror, I found a black pen streak down the front of my beautiful ivory dress! The dress shop, of course, denied any wrongdoing on their part and refused to help remedy the situation. I immediately called Paul’s, begging and pleading for help. The owner came in the next morning personally to take the stain out of the dress. After about 10 or 15 minutes the dress was good as new and I was ready to walk down the isle. He didn’t even charge me! I had used Paul’s for years before this incident, but this time they went way above the call of duty. They saved the wedding! I love this place!

Dropped off one dress shirt and one pair of dress pants, with the stipulation that I needed them by 10:00 a.m.(or shortly thereafter) the next morning. Stopped in at 10:20 and they weren’t ready. At least they were clean when I finally got them, albeit, with a VERY strong cleaner odor to them.(Strong enough to give me a headache.) 4 stars for cleanliness, 0 stars for making promises they can’t keep. Might use them again, but not if timeliness is a factor. Also, it cost $ 6.00 each. This seems expensive to me, but I’m new to the area, so maybe that’s the going rate? Coming from Phoenix I could get stuff done in less than 24 hours for about $ 3.00 per item.

I have been going to Paul’s for years and do find their service to be wonderful. They are always so friendly and helpful and do have very fast service. The prices are high in comparison to other areas of California, but reasonable for the Central Coast. I would recommend taking dry cleaning and laundry here. I do have to take off 1 star for the poor service provided to my wedding gown. It took them months to clean it and even then it still had dirt spots that they missed(probably due to hanging without being covered). They also could never box it since the boxes kept not arriving. I was also quite displeased that they lost my nice garment bag the dress was kept in. So, I would NOT recommend taking my wedding dress to Paul’s.

This place is great. Super friendly service even though they were really busy. They have two locations in town and they did a great job on the work clothes– one blazer, two sweaters, and two pants were $ 25; not bad!
