Good alternative to the other places near by. Great prices n large portions of meats n vegetables. You can get pita with grilled veggies, I recommend the grilled onions n mushrooms on the Caesar or the Slovaki.

The business hours are not updated on the Unilocal page. We drove 25 minutes to get here after the club and the place was closed. Unilocal’s hours said that it closes at3 am. I’m slightly disappointed. *teary eyed

It’s Pita Pit people, it’s made for college kids who are sick of campus food, but don’t have the wallet or stomach for anything fancy. That being said, the staff is friendly and the food is on par with other fast foods like Subway(just never go to Subway, I used to work at one). Power hour is great from when I’m too lazy to cook and can’t make it to High Street for their end of the day special. Pro tip: always add onion, green peppers, and pineapple to the grill. Grilled pineapple is fantastic.

I come here often. I always get to-go because it’s not a nice sit down restaurant but the food and service has never let me down.

Too expensive for the quality. You can get a deli sub at good Delis for cheaper. It’s actually pretty bomb but sandwiches shouldn’t cost over $ 10 unless they are gourmet. Lower the prices, and I’ll be there a lot more often.

Pita Pit is to Greek food what Taco Bell is to Mexican food. That being said, I love Tbell, and I often love pita pit. I pretty much just go whenever I’m hungry and I realize it’s power hour(5−6pm, $ 5 pitas, $ 6 double meat pitas). Otherwise I only go if I have a coupon. Get the super Greek or the chicken Caesar but with seasoned chicken instead of normal chicken, both are bomb.

I’ve frequent this location for lunch. There’s usually no line during lunch hour so it makes this a great place to grab a quick meal when you’re in a rush. All the people I met working there are super friendly and fast. Also, I prefer their veggie selection to that of Subway’s.

I’m not sure if this is a chain but it’s set up like one. The food is pretty generic. Its ok but I’d rather go to a place that’s more authentic. I wiped our table off because there were crumbs and it was so dirty… The kitchen area appeared clean but who knows… The people are friendly tho.

I’m a little confused because everywhere( Unilocal, Google Maps, Pita Pit website) says this place is open until 3am. I showed up here on a Friday night a few weeks ago at 7:15pm and they said they close at 7pm. The hours listed on the door said 7pm but I don’t know what to think. So sad.

Comparable to subway but slightly more expensive and the taste just isn’t quite there. By all means not bad though.

I went looking for a Gyro, because that’s what you think of when you think of Pita. If you’re looking for the traditional Gyro that’s not what you get. It was a much healthier alternative which lacked the flavor of a real Gyro. It was not busy at all. The place was dirty. We sat outside the tables were broken and dirty as well.

If you have no standards for, experience with or expectations of good pita, then this is the place for you! This is the place to go when you cannot afford Fatoush(close by), Petra’s(the best, but downtown-ish), or Jaffa Café(also downtown-ish). Ideal for the harried college child who still does not have their sh¡t together. However, as with all sub-par places, there is always a very small chance the planets will align and the experience will be great. I’d rather take my chances with the lottery.

Reminds me of Subway. The Philly Steak was great, especially when no other restaurants are open. Great midnight snack for studying.

The food is really good! In addition, the staff is cool! Quality/price is pretty solid. This is very quick and some quality food. Except the price, everything is perfect. Their delivery service is unreal, cheap and really quick. This is a place I recommend to everyone!

The food here is horrible. I went once and never again. The meat was flavorless. The food is somewhat pricey for the little food you get. There’s many many options in SLO for Mediterranean food. If you want good food go elsewhere. If you want a simple, okay pita bread sandwich, that you could most likely make yourself and are too lazy to make it, come here.

Ehhh. Honestly the food isn’t too bad — I like getting the steak and eggs. But it’s a hit or miss. Sometimes the service and the food are great, but usually it feels not very clean in there. The last time I went, one of the workers coughed straight into the meat while it was on the grill. At first I though«hmm, she wasn’t that close to it, maybe she was just clearing her throat». But then she coughed three more times into the condiments… And yep.

Sad day for pitas. :( Could really use some fresher ingredients and help with the construction of and flavor profile of a great pita sandwich. A place like this could be a hit with the right ingredients and a little more culinary prowess. Also, since they’re pushing«healthy» they should really try using higher quality veggies and meats — maybe even consider going organic!

Not the best location I’ve been to, but in the end it is still pita pit! This is an old college favorite of mine, I got the meat breakfast burrito with tziki(sp?) sauce… Awesome as always However it seems like their style of eggs and hashbrowns were not fresh like in some locations, so that was a downer

For every now and then, this place definitely does it for me. Similar to burritos and hot pockets, I’m not always keen on having my meal packed into a wad and wrapped in carbs, but Pita Pit does it well. Very fresh ingredients, very friendly staff. Get your veggies grilled and try a new sauce — horseradish is really good! I recommend taking your meal to go and chowing down in a park, though there is seating available if you find it’s your scene. I imagine that at some point in the future, I’ll be back.
