The Ideals

The Ideals DJ’d our 10-​year anniversary party at the Madonna Inn’s Garden Room and helped make the night in a serious way. Curtis met with us a few months before to help plan and he couldn’t have been nicer or more responsive. (He even helped us find an awesome photobooth vendor!)
From cocktail hour through dinner they kept the mood upbeat without being overpowering, and Curtis kept things moving right along as an adept MC. After toasts and our spotlight dance they kicked things into high gear with their deep catalogue of funky soul and garage records. I don’t remember a single person who wasn’t dancing!
On top of everything, they gave us a Sonics 45 (one of the few songs we requested!) and recommendations on where we could keep the party going after we had to leave the Garden Room.
I can’t recommend them enough.

These guys rock! And I mean that quite literally… The Ideals are a DJ duo that really know how to throw a good party and keep the guests dancing. We hired them for our wedding this past May, and can honestly say they were so much fun, played the exact music we were hoping for, and really had people out of their seats and groovin’ the night away. The Ideals specialize in oldies, funk, reggae, rock, their selection is completely versatile. We communicated with Curtis, who was always responsive and straight forward with their needs and our plans. They play on vinyl, which adds a fun vintage feel, but also sounds amazing. Since the wedding, many of our guests have told us how much fun the music was because everyone was able to relate to it. When I say everyone was dancing, I mean it! Not only was the music great, but they were really good at MCing the night and keeping things moving. Curtis took charge on the mic, helped with the speeches, helped with the food instructions, introductions, cake cutting, etc. He was awesome! We can’t recommend them highly enough. If you’re in search of a fun, organized, amazing DJ these are the guys you are looking for. We can’t thank them enough!
