Matt Cross and the one night band were AMAZING!!! They definitely rocked my wedding. I got married at Holland Ranch on September 27th and my fiancé really wanted a band. Jamie recommended Matt Cross and the one night band and we were so lucky he performed at our wedding. He was a fabulous MC, as well as DJ during cocktail hour and in between live songs. He played exactly what I wanted and definitely got all of our 285 guests to sing and dance. People are still talking about the band and how fun they were. He made our wedding that much more special and just a down to earth nice guy to work with! We will be visiting him soon and listening to him play! I would recommend him and the band to any bride and groom. If you want people to be blown away at your wedding, hire Matt Cross and the one night band!!!

We hired Matt Cross & The One Night Band to be the entertainment at our Holland Ranch wedding last Saturday and they did not disappoint! Matt handled all the music and sound needs throughout our ceremony and reception. He also MC’ed the event. He has a great personality and really stuck to the schedule. Matt met with us months before our event and kept communication lines open as our wedding date approached. He was quick to reply to all of our questions and was extremely organized and professional throughout the wedding planning process. Most importantly, he and his band put on an awesome show. He had our guests dancing the entire night and we cannot even tell you how many people raved about how much fun they had with Matt Cross and The One Night Band. The song selection was on point. From Sublime to Bön Jovi, and everything in between, the live music was perfect. Any non-live music time was filled with a great playlist of current music that everyone enjoyed. We highly recommend Matt Cross and The One Night Band to anyone considering having a live band at their wedding!

If you are getting married in the SLO area you HAVETO hire Matt Cross and the One Night Band! They made our reception. My husband and I got married at Holland Ranch and with the stage inside the barn knew we had to have a live band. Everyone we talked to recommended Matt Cross and the One Night Band. The day before the wedding the drummer hurt his leg. The band held emergency band practice, re-worked their sets all so that they were still able to play our wedding. All of our guest commented on how great they sounded and how fun the band was and that it was the best wedding they had ever been to. These guys went above and beyond what we could have expected. Matt DJ’d the ceremony and dinner and played the Traditional Wedding March on his acoustic guitar for my walk down the aisle, just PERFECT!

There’s a reason everyone is giving them 5 stars! When I was planning my wedding in San Luis I was living in Pasadena. I was blindly organizing details from hundreds of miles away. I was referred to Matt and The One Night Band by a dj and lighting company. Being a musician, I was dead set on having live music at the reception. I feel like live bands have the ability to engage and stimulate the crowd to get up and have fun more than a dj would. Djs tend to get lost in their laptops and not interact with the people they’re entertaining. I also needed someone who would mc the reception. A huge issue I was running into when searching for a band was that most band perform one style of music… Like, «oh we’re an Eagles cover band.» or «oh, we only do mariachi.» really won’t work when your trying to get everyone from the flower girl to your 75 year old grandma to get out there and shake it. But the One Night Band does just about every style and genre. Their repertoire is huge and if you give them adequate time they are willing to learn a few new songs. They played Lynard skynard, Justin beiber, Michael Jackson, country artists… The list goes on. They played something for everyone. And Matt is willing to mc if you ask. He has lots of experience doing it and he’s great at it. People still tell me how fun my wedding was. I feel most of the credit for that has to go to Matt and The One Night Band. They totally will transform your wedding into an event to remember!

Matt Cross & The One Night Band is the best decision you can make when it comes to quality entertainment and a packed dance floor the night of your wedding. They NAILED it during our wedding at Holland Ranch. Guests still rave about them! We even saw people who«don’t dance» rocking out on dance floor and wanting more. I’m not sure why any other bride/groom would go with another option. They did it all for us — ceremony music, DJ’d music during cocktail hour and dinner, live cover band post dinner and then ended the evening playing our all time favorite DJ’d rock/pop songs to cater to all guests. Why book just a DJ when you can have both? Matt was very professional during the booking process and accommodated all of our requests. Since our wedding, we have headed back to the area just to see them play and can guarantee we will be back for more. We can’t get enough. If you want your guests to have an awesome time, book them! They are the best decision you can make.

lend me some corn and I’ll make you a sweet salsa. 1984. Green Datsun Pickup truck. Handpainted forest landscape mural in the rear window. A young father and his son are bumping down a dirt road singing«You can’t always get what you want.» 28 years later this little boy gets on stage with Matt Cross and the One Nighters. Lights out baby. Never had a better party. So much fun. Highly recommended. Be prepared to rip your clothes.
