My feedback is based on an encounter on 16 June 2016. I have been frequenting this location for a number of years. This am at appx 7:50, I went through the drive through vs going in side. I started my order and didn’t get more than a sentence or two before being abruptly interrupted and told they were out of that Kolachi, then silence… When I asked what they did have, the lady proceeded to sarcastically read everything on the menu. The tone and mannerisms were totally out of order… I notified the service line, but will not go there again. Donuts were great though.

How hard is a large chocolate iced coffee? Apparently quite hard as they kept trying to give us a small vanilla iced coffee. Asked for a chocolate covered donut, gave us a plain glazed donut. Then when we point to the receipt, which has everything we ordered listed correctly, we get an attitude. Krispy Kreme management will certainly be getting a call regarding Myra and Gabby. Absolutely ridiculous.

Finally broke down and decided to try Krispy Kreme. I fail to see what all the hype is about. The customer service was bad and the doughnut was stale. Think I’ll stick with my usual doughnut joint.

I stop in here almost every time I travel back to Texas. It’s a problem. I swear the light is almost always on. I’m sure it’s a conspiracy against my waistline. Who doesn’t want a free donut? The donuts are always fresh, and the staff is always nice. The store is clean. They have coffee and slushies, everything you’d expect at a donut shop.

I’d travel to the Moon and back for a Krispy Kreme… but thank God there’s a shoppe in San Marcos! It’s definitely worth driving 25 miles for a dozen! Cheers***

The staff is excellent and hard working, especially Mindy. She helped us pick out a dozen donuts and a birthday donut for my kid. Great donuts. Great coffee. Boom.

In the name of all that is holy!!! What would you like? Chocolate iced, custard filled Raspberry filled Banana pudding?(Don’t have it) Carrot cake?(Don’t have it — its a promotion that starts tomorrow) Cinnamon apple?(Don’t have it, are you looking at the website? We don’t have everything on the website, just a selection) Dulce de leche?(No) NY cheesecake?(No) What do you have? Custard filled, raspberry filled, lemon filled… Grrrrr! How disappointing!!! Took a few bites of my custard filled and had to get just around halfway in before I hit any custard. Same for the other 2. Wtf? Poor filling to dough ratio, if you’re sharing(like us) one of you is screwed! What we did get was tasty enough!

I’m just not a big fan of doughnuts. I’m more of a bagel girl. That being said, the service here at this location is awesome. I recommend going inside to order, even though there is a drive-thru. You might get a free doughnut out of it. I just don’t do sugary very well. And Krispy Kreme is the sugariest of sugary doughnuts. There’s just too much icing on their doughnut and not enough doughnut to go around. I always make the mistake of ordering a dozen because, as a Chinese girl, I just can’t pass up the«cheaper deal.» Anyway, this location is great. I just wish I liked doughnuts. I like free stuff though, so thanks, Krispy Kreme for the occasional free glazed doughnut.

Fresh, delicious. Cake-check. Chocolate cake-check. Glazed-check. Sprinkles(my fav)-check. Crème-filled-check. Crullers-check. One complaint: I asked for glazed holes, not cake holes(cake hole, hah!). WEAK. I mean, it’s really coffee flavored water. :(Please fix this???

I am not a huge fan of Krispy Kreme and take fault for part of the reason it failed in Houston. lol. Sorry I just LOVE my Shipley’s. Krispy Kremes are sort of a donut tease. Light, airy with that thick glaze. I really like to sink my teeth into dough and KK just doesn’t do it for me. This location was pretty awesome. A friend and I went in for coffee and donuts before heading back to Houston. I was just going to get 2 glazed and coffee. The lady behind the counter presents us both with a hot fresh donut as a «SAMPLE». I was like holy fudge! How NICE. So I ended up ordering 2 donuts and my coffee opposed to the 1 because I didn’t want to look like a cheap skate. The iced chocolate cake donut was really dry and stale. I was mad I paid for it. The coffee didn’t make up for it either. It was bitter and burnt tasting. 1 glazed, 1 cake and a medium coffee cost me over $ 5. What a rip off. Basically you are paying for the name. Over all I wish I would have gone to Shipley’s but I do appreciate the free donut. I still stand by my childhood favorite. Sorry KK you don’t belong in Texas.

Normally I don’t rate fast food franchise joints like this, but I’ve had nothing but good experiences here. Everytime I’ve come they’ve given us a free glazed donut that was fresh made and still warm. These are your typical krispy Kreme donuts; little, perfectly shaped, soft, and sweet. I’m personally more of a Shipley’s man but that’s more about style. What Krispy Kreme does Krispy Kreme does great. A solid decision for any donut day.

RESTAURANTINSPECTIONDEMERITS: 0(01/09/2012) Goodbye Texenza. Hello Krispy Kreme! There’s a new sheriff in town. He’s got a donut on a straw, and he’s altogether too happy to just give it to ya!(With all due apology to Bill Dickason.) Yesterday, the newest Krispy Kreme opened in San Marcos next to Pluckers at the intersection of South Guadalupe and Interstate 35 in the former Texenza Coffee location. Unlike previous Krispy Kreme stores I’ve been to where the emphasis is on gawking at the awesome conveyor belt system and the donut-making process, this store is all about the display of finished product and beverages and features a comfortable dining area. It’s a great addition to San Marcos, which previously lacked a decent donut shop. Yes, they still offer you a free sample, and, yes, the donuts are every bit as good. Note that this is a limited hours store. It is my understanding they are open from 6AM until 11PM daily. A drive-through is offered in addition to dining room service. I’m sure this new KK will be the end of any attempt I have made at a diet, but I’m happy for San Marcos that it’s here as an alternative to yet-another-breakfast-taco stand. I’m guessing this means there’s a new place to stop before Black Friday, huh?
