Great and cute place to study! Not a lot of drink options, but other than that… great atmosphere!

A different location than the café and brewery(across the street). A very nice place to just chill with friends or maybe catch up on some studying! A wide variety of teas that you can mix to make your own signature blend. Nice little café food items.

This review is for their catering. I recently had them provide the lunch a quarterly business meeting. They were super accommodating(more so than they had to be) They were right on time and the food was outstanding! Highly recommend!

Megan catered our wedding this past weekend and we couldn’t be more pleased. Loved working with her prior to the event and had a delicious meal day-of! She did an awesome job accommodating our requests and executing everything for the event.

After stopping by the packed restaurant around 10am on a Saturday, I was directed to the bakery for a latte. The soy latte was yummy and the stuffed croissants were baked to perfection! This bread was absolutely delicious. However, the word stuffed is used quite loosely. My son and I shared a turkey and swiss and a blackberry and brie. After splitting them both down the middle each of us received a small taste of what was described as «filling»: This is a great spot for a snack in between meals. Don’t go hungry.

I love the Root Cellar Bakery, I eat at Root Cellar pretty often and when I found out about the bakery I was super excited. ALL of their baked goods are great, I love how they change it up and have different pastries all the time while keeping some of the classics always. Regardless of what you try, YOUWILLLOVE, plus they extended their hours and I was so happy because now I can go a lot more often. I’ve also bought their beer bread loaf which they also serve at the restaurant and made some awesome grilled cheese with it! Update: I obviously love this place so much, that I had already reviewed it and did’t even realize!

Not a wide variety of baked goods but a enough teas and coffee. Vegan friendly baked options

After hearing great things about the Root Cellar, I figured the bakery would be great, but I was wrong. The display case was very small for an establishment that is only a bakery. There was hardly anything in it that one would expect from a bakery. No cupcakes or cookies, except for a very average gingerbread cookie for $ 5, and there was only one pie option. When I did decide on something, I was served a cold slice of pumpkin cake… cold. It wasn’t until I bit into it that I realized this, and had to ask for it to be heated up. Having a single worker that doesn’t understand most baked goods should be at least room temperature is odd and unsettling. It seems as if they are going to a friendly atmosphere, but it was almost unwelcoming. My boyfriend and I left, and have no desire to come back.

The coffee is better at other places like M&J’s but the baked goods are a step above. Having said that, we’re going on our third bad experience with the service. Can’t remember if it’s the same person but they seem really put out with customers. Also, some of the tables are wobbly and can’t be leveled in any way. Don’t plan on going back anytime soon.

My husband and I like to visit the Root Cellar Bakery every now and again as a special weekend treat for ourselves. The coffee is SUPER smooth and the pastries are to die for. Each time we go to the RC Bakery, we always get great service! Our last visit was the best, when Austin was working there. He was welcoming, informative, friendly, and passionate about food and coffee! It was infectious! As we sat inside savoring our coffee and pastries, we noticed how impressively great Austin was with all customers that walked in. Keep up the good work hiring amazing people – it’s a rarity to go out and have both great food/drink AND remarkable service. There IS still hope out there :-)

The Root Cellar Bakery catered the rehearsal dinner for my son’s wedding last weekend. They were easy to work with, the food was amazing, the service was good, and the venue was quaint and comfortable. I highly recommend them!

This place has a really cool look, has great coffees, and great food. I had a French press with Nicaraguan coffee and a spinach and cheese scone. I give both 5 stars. I really like the spinach and cheese scone!

Really nice coffee shop/bakery. Plenty of room, and good quality coffee. I had the French press, and a pastry. Very tasty and nice ambiance to the café. Bathrooms are clean and modern, and gender specific(I can’t stand shared bathrooms, yuk). My only request would be a baby changing table in the ladies(and gents?) room — there’s ample space for a changing table, and it would just make things easier for moms with babies. I look forward to returning and trying out some of the other pastries and cupcakes.
