Great local vibe, good food, old man server who sings and puts smiles on people’s faces. Love it.

So this place is a little hole in the wall that you think wouldn’t be so good, but I have to say we were surprised. We order the egg rolls, very hot and fresh, hot and sour soup which was the best dish we had, very very good. I order low mein combination, it was good however the noodles were more like spaghetti noodles than skinnier low mein noodles, so I didn’t care for that. We also ordered the orange spicy chicken, very fresh, not so spicy. The restaurant has very friendly service and is very clean including the bathroom. The only thing else they really need to change is having a low sodium soy sauce option, I did see lots of old people in there so I am sure they would also appreciate it. Decent food we will return, or at least get take-out.

First time visiting here with my family. I ordered the duck pancakes and I have to say they were delicious. My only slight negative is that the fat from the duck breasts could have been left out of the pancake. Nevertheless, the service and welcome we had at this establishment was exceptional. We will definitely be back to visit again!

Awesome place that I just discovered. I’m pretty picky with my Chinese food and this place hit the spot. This was solely based on a to-go experience but the hostess was really nice. Will definitely go back, especially for their lunch special!

I’ve been going here ever since I was a little kid. My grandpa first introduced me to it. It’s def my favorite Chinese food spot in San Marcos, by far. Even since my grandpa passed away 15 years ago, I still go here & think of him. I had the salt & pepper chicken wings & honey walnut shrimp today. The wings were perfectly seasoned, & the honey walnut shrimp wasn’t too sweet. Loved it.

Here at work, we truly love the food from this place, especially their lunch specials to go. We always order the same things and we can’t go wrong: Kung Pao Chicken or Shrimp, Cashew Chicken and Shrimp Lo Mein. Simply delicious! Their egg rolls are OTW!!! prices are very good for all the food you get. Their new location(742 Rancho Santa Fe Road, right next to CVS) is quite nice and more enjoyable than the previous location. You will be glad you ate at Panda Garden, just like we are. One word of advice, on Sundays, call before you head out to make sure they are open.

Smells amazing as soon as you walk in. Interior very pleasing(supposedly a new unit a couple doors down from original location). Friendly staff. Lots of take out traffic(always a good sign). Think it’s more than two dollar signs though. Several dishes in the $ 12 and up range. Highly recommended!

San Diego has a serious shortage of good Chinese restaurants. So I dont eat it often anymore here unless I am out of town. So you can imagine my excitement when I found this place! The food is soooo tasty and the service is incredible. Family owned and run business, the staff is very friendly and attentive. The décor is a beautiful modern look and very clean! I can finally enjoy Chinese food in San Diego again!!! One of San Diego’s best kept secrets. :)

Staff is quick and friendly. Comfy seats, nice atmosphere. Clean restaurant. The food is well prepared, fresh, hot, not overcooked. I have had a few different house specials and they were great. Reasonable prices.

My husband and I love this place! Last year the restaurant was renovated and we love the new look. Its a family owned restaurant and you can tell they work hard. Their food is always consistent in taste and flavor. They are also popular with take out. Always get the egg drop soup! Other favorites are MaPo Tofu, Lo Mein and fried rice.

By far the best chinese joint in north county. Food comes out fairly quick even when it is super busy. Portions of each dish are pretty big in my opinion so the price is worth it. The employees are very nice.

Best Chinese food in North County and overall San Diego. Family run business for over 30 years. All the entrees on menu are make to order with fresh ingredients. They also have Korean/Chinese dishes like Jahm Bong and Jajangmyeon. The staff is very attentive to your needs. Alan(owner’s son) make sure you’re enjoying the meals and give great hospitality. Also Robert the waiter is hilarious especially singing birthday songs. My favorite dishes are the Spicy Pepper Chicken wings(appetizer), Honey Walnut Shrimp, Eggplant with Yu Shing Sauce. Can’t really wrong with anything on the menu. Also they have great lunch specials.

I’m not a huge fan of Chinese food, but my uncle is, and he said this was the best one in the area. I checked out a menu online and saw they had kung pao three ingredient on the lunch special, so I couldn’t say no as I love shrimp. The egg drop soup to start is probably the best egg drop soup I’ve ever had. Really tasty. The kung pao was just ok. They were very generous with the shrimp, but I didn’t think it was the best kung pao I ever had. Overall really good value and good customer service. But I can’t say I loved it.

By far my favorite Chinese food in north county, highly recommend, prices are extremely fair and food is delicious. I always get my favorite dish, the cashew chicken. The wife loves the Happy Family dish. Friendly staff, the only improvement I would like to see is soda served from a fountain rather than bringing you a can, but that importance is secondary to the quality of food, which is always spot on. Don’t let the«Panda» title fool you, this is real Chinese and nothing like Panda Express. Update: Got a message from the business owner after posting the original review that they have indeed installed a soda fountain and offer free refills now!

I’ve been here a few times but tonight was the first time coming since they moved to their new location(a few doors down). The new place looks awesome. They have a new bamboo forest look and it’s very bright. The service here is excellent. My friends and I came in close to closing time and they were nice enough to still accommodate us. We started out with my absolute favorite which is the cream cheese wontons. We also switched it up and ordered the hot and sour soup. Everyone loved it esp my very picky 1 yr old. We also had chicken wings, orange chicken, honey walnut shrimp, and string beans. Everything was delicious. The orange chicken was white meat and it was not covered in batter like how some other places do. My only compliant is that this place is a bit far for me, but I will definitely be making a stop here whenever I am craving wontons or orange chicken.

Wow! Renovated like a modern, hip restaurant now with the nice green and brown bamboo décor and nice light fixtures! Same owners, same staff, same food and same chefs. Nothing changed except that now it’s more comfortable to sit down and enjoy the meal. Many people order Chinese takeout but this new spot is so nice that it might become your new hangout spot! We ordered chicken wings(again), eggplants 魚香茄子(again) and noodles with black bean sauce 炸醬麵 jia jiang mian. The noodles were bomb! The sauce was super flavorful and the noodles had the perfect texture. You must try it! Chicken wings were not as flavorful as we had last time and we noticed the onions and scallions weren’t as much as before. Next time we’ll make sure they add enough because we eat all the onions with the wings! Eggplants were fried to have a crunchy exterior and were topped with a flavorful dark thick sauce and onions and peppers. Nice meal with friendly staff. Thanks Alan for good Chinese food in the neighborhood! We’re also glad to see the singing guy there on Monday night haha.

I’ve only ordered delivery from here. The food is delicious! Probably the best Chinese food I’ve had, my boyfriend and I would always order from a different Chinese place but one day decided to give this place a try and now I’m addicted! Love the vegetable fried rice, pu pu platter, and sesame triple delight! The food is amazing and from now on I’ll always get my Chinese delivery food from here!

Came here to try some Chinese/Korean food they have. The black noodle(ja ja mein) we got was ok and the spicy seafood noodle soup(chaw ma mein) decent. But their kung pao chicken is excellent. Big pieces of chicken mixed with just the right amount of veggies. I can’t stand places where it’s all veggies and barley any chicken. There salt and pepper chicken wing was ok. Not much flavor on the chicken wing. Overall, I would come back to try some other dishes. But for sure, I will order the kung Pao chicken again.

Just picked up to go from here on my lunch break. They’ve got a pretty big selection for lunch specials! Scrolling through the pictures on here, I thought the lunch portion looked kind of small, so I ordered an app with my lunch entrée to go. Well the pictures are deceiving! It’s a whole lotta food for the lunch specials! I ordered: — Spicy honey chicken lunch special comes with an egg roll and a brown fried rice — crab cream cheese wontons — bill was around $ 16.00 It’s a large portion. I could not finish the rice and chicken. Definitely happy I have some leftovers for later! This place is convenient and they were quick as well.

For some reason — myself and hubby always end up here on either Christmas Eve or Christmas day. Maybe because they are open, maybe because we like the food or maybe, it’s because it’s tradition? Food and service is good, traditional Chinese cuisine, good prices and always a good meal. It’s not the closest Chinese restaurant to us but it’s worth the drive for a good meal.
