Great food(4.5 stars)…Pad Thai my Fav. Service depends on who is there(2.5 stars). Manager not my favorite(2 stars)! People can vary from great and enthusiastic(5 stars) to almost careless(2 stars). Tables and floor are usually sticky(2 stars). I have been in other branches and they look better and cleaner than this one. We love the food and that is why we keep going! I hope this helps to improve cleanliness(at least)

Ordered three meals via mobile device. Picked up our order and took it home. We ordered extra veggies and meat. We did not get the extra items we paid for. Also the steak and chicken were dry and overcooked. We were greatly disappointed. We also did not feel well the next day. The food was off. We’ve had meals here before and those were fine. I decided to go in and talk to the manager the next day. He was extremely rude and only wanted to throw pei Wei gift cards at me. He did not care to hear about the issues. He obviously does not care about this facility and the customers. We will not be returning.

Came here on Memorial Day and was super disappointed. I had just eaten at a different Pei Wei location and gotten their sweet and sour shrimp and it was so delicious I decided to return to Pei Wei. I came to this location instead and ordered the same thing but I was super let down. I noticed it was missing both the pineapple and the red bell peppers. It was also super spicy and for some reason had carrots. Pulled the receipt only to realize the cashier put in the wrong order all together and I was eating spicy shrimp. Huge let down for this pregnant lady. Baby did not like all the spice. :(

I’ve eaten here several times and really enjoy it. It’s definitely a step up from Panda(not that there’s anything wrong with a little Panda here and there) and with that I also mean the price. I have tried the mango loan beef and some of their rolls that are not bad. I also had the fried rice with everything in it and it was a delicious meal on it self.

We are usually pretty happy here. However, my boyfriend and I came here when there were only 3 other tables occupied(I’ve never seen it so empty) and they made my boyfriends meal with shrimp, even though he ordered chicken and on the receipt it clearly said chicken. Luckily my boyfriend doesn’t have a shellfish allergy like many people do, because he took a bite of his food before he realized it was shrimp. And when they took it back they just swapped the shrimp for chicken and put it on the same plate. No one even apologized for the mess up, the first thing they asked when he brought it up was if he just wanted to eat the shrimp instead. It was so odd and unprofessional.

I’ve always been a fan of Pei Wei since they opened and I was excited to try their gluten free menu. My favorite item on the menu is their Mongolian beef but that item isn’t GF so my husband got that and I got the sweet and sour chicken. I like that they have wine and beer and a Coke Freestyle machine for beverage choices. The portion sizes for regulars were huge but they were mostly rice and noodles or veggies than actual pieces of meat. My husband’s Mongolian beef was crispy and flavorful but he thought they could have given him more beef in his entrée. He ordered his meal spicy but it didn’t really taste spicy at all. My sweet and sour chicken was ehh. The chicken was cooked well but I didn’t like the sauce. It was thick and gooey and tasted too sweet. I wish I got the GF spicy chicken instead. I’ll be coming back to try the other GF dishes because I do like P.F. Changs/Pei Wei.

I guess if you’re craving P.F. Chang’s you should probably just go to a P.F. Chang’s and not this place. Six years since my last visit and the place has gone down hill in both service and food. There was a laundry list of service goofs(listed below) that really pointed out to me that this location has gone into the crapper. So it was pretty much expected that the food would be prepared with the same lack of attention as everything else in the restaurant. Many of our dishes were totally drowning in sauce which had to be cut with rice to make it eatable. The one thing that was really good were the Chinese chicken lettuce wraps. After eating here I had wished I’d gone to Panda Express instead. I would have saved lot of money too. Service Goofs. — They were out of forks for the majority of the meal. I have kids that don’t use chopsticks. — Tables were very very sticky. No cleaning obviously. — Coke Freestyle was out of a lot flavors Then they took forever to fix it. — No orange slices — Jars of Chinese mustard and Chili sauce were crusty and needed to be cleaned. On par with Panda Express, just more expensive.

Great customer service today! I ordered a gluten free sweet and sour shrimp to go but when I left I, I checked it and it wasn’t the gluten free one. When I called, I spoke to the same team member that I bought it from and I decided to turn around to get it replaced. I then get a call from the manager who was very nice and assured me it would be ready when I got back. When I got back, I was informed they refunded me for my meal and I was given a $ 10 gift card, as well as getting my gluten free meal. They really know how to make the customer happy!

Pei Wei in San Marcos always hits the spot. I’ve been going to this location since it opened about 8 years ago. I love the food here. and it’s neat how it’s parent company is PF Chang’s. Other locations I go to is 4S Ranch and Mission Valley. The service here last night was pretty good from the casher/manager working the front, to the guy who brought out our food. I usually order a Kids Wei(kids meal lol) because I eat lighter, and the price point isn’t bad either. I normally opt for Honey Seared Steak, and sometimes I’ll do Terryaki Chicken. always with brown rice. Back in the day, I also used to get my fortune as they used to have the fortune cookies by the utensils, and I’d grab a handful. but now they don’t keep it there anymore bummer. Overall. Pei Wei is similar to Pick Up Stix food with the food made fresh as you order which is better than Panda food being under that heat lamp. Come here when craving Chinese food. Mmm Mmm Mmm. :)

There times when the food can be just ok and everything is still right with the world! This is one of those times although The food is pretty tasty! I had Mongolian w beef and my beautiful daughter had low mien w chicken. Both tasty! I also ordered a 4 piece spivey tuna roll — it was not good. My recommendation — bring your daughter, spend some time and as I said — sometimes the food can be just good and the evening is still the best! Back for a second round w my beautiful wife and the tables are grosssassssssss! Knocked it down a star.

I love Asian food and especially if it’s darn good. This place is more of a high end Pick Up Sticks with wonderfully done decore inside and a pretty easy to follow menu. You can create a plate or just choose one or the other. I ordered the Orange Peel chicken with noodles. While I waited, I walked over to the fountain machine where you can grab your soy sauce and hot sauce as well as your to-go boxes. This set up reminded me of Noodles and Company, which is also my favorite place lol. Food finally arrived about 10minuets later, it was super hot so be careful not to dive into the dish sk quickly. The noodles were plain thick lo mein type noodles. And the chicken had a light coating of orange flavor chicken, not of a grilled type. I like mine crunchy, but this isn’t your typical Asian restaurant. Overall, the food portion was enough for 1 person depending on your diet. I ended packaging some home. This place is great to bring a date, since the serve wine here. But to bring your family and stuff, it be a bit of a headache to probably have them choose what they really want since the food options seem to blend in. And it’s a bit pricey too!

The customer service was super! Which is why I’m giving 2 stars. They didn’t have 4 of the items we originally wanted. And then once ordered they ran out of what we ordered.(Wasabi rolls) Manager took the two items off our bill and gave us the amount that they could make. The salad was not chopped salad. There wasn’t flavor in the food. We ordered the honey seared chicken with half fried rice half noodles. However I did really enjoy the crab wontons and the spring rolls were pretty good.

I’ve been to this Pei Wei location a few times now and I’m really battling back and forth between three or four stars. Usually my order is taken by a sweet happy girl, food comes out fast and tastes delicious! Today, however, upon walking in my friends and I found a cockroach on the ground inside AHHH. We told an employee and someone came to sweep it up before it crawled away. As disheartening as that was, we proceeded to order anyway. The cashier seemed uninterested in helping us which will always leave a bad taste in my mouth. Working at a restaurant myself, I take customer service very seriously. On the bright side, I was sooo happy to see they brought the Kung Pao Shirmp sushi roll back(limited time only). This roll is better than any other roll I’ve had at a regular sushi restaurant! I will travel long and far for this roll so keep it up Pei Wei! Food is great service is mehhhh… inconsistent.

Moderate service. Serving size looks a little small for the price. I ordered the Thai Dynamite and it’s pretty darn good! But a little costly for the amount I received.

Fast, inexpensive, consistently tasty. Despite the corporate feel they always have good food. I like to order the spicy chicken salad. Its a bed of lettuce with cabbage, grated carrots and cucumbers, snap peas, scallions, cilantro, white crispy rice sticks, diced tomatoes, and a tangy vinaigrette. The chicken on top is the same as the spicy chicken entrée. Its fried and smothered in a sweet, spicy, sour sauce. The small is still a decent sized meal and only $ 5.99

Ok, so i’m a bit behind in my Unilocal reviews these days as I’ve been battling the 1st and unfortunately, 2nd trimester sickness. But, starting to turn the corner and I’m well enough for me to actually act on some of the cravings I’ve been having. One of them, Pei Wei’s Honey Seared chicken. Even though I’m able to stand on 2 feet now, after work, I’m completely exhausted so cooking sometimes or going out to dine seems next to impossible. I went to call Pei Wei to place a pick up order that my husband would pick up on his way home from work when I noticed on their website, you could place your entire order online! Awesome! I went through their menu and selected things and the interface was very user friendly and simple to follow along. It had great pictures next to each item so there was no mistaking what you were ordering. Within minutes, I placed my order and it gave a specific time to pick up and an option to either pay online or pay when you got there. I paid online so all my husband had to do when he got there was tell him his name and number and they were all set. It was quick and absolutely painless for both my husband and I. As far as the food, it was prepared perfectly and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite of the Honey Seared Chicken. The chicken was nice and moist but yet had that signature outer crispy goodness that I was craving. It had the perfect amount of sweetness and it paired perfectly with the brown rice. I’m sure i’ll be placing a lot more orders online because of the ease and satisfaction I got out of this meal. Great job, Pei Wei for making this mama-to-be one happy camper!

Been going to Pei Wei for years and have really enjoyed the speed and quality of the food. Rating this at 3 stars because it seems that they’re tightening some screws now. The food quality is consistent with my memories of visits past, but the portions and costs weren’t. On this visit, I had the original size steak with garlic broccoli and brown rice(~$ 9). I added a side of small edamame(at $ 2, a great value!) because I was feeling pretty famished from skipping breakfast today after a work-out, so I figured that the app and heaping plate would fill me up. My first observation was that the plate itself was considerably smaller than what I recall seeing at Pei Wei. As you’ll see from the photo, the portion size also shrank a bit. I’d estimate that the brown rice, which filled a full half of the plate, was about 2 cups’ worth. The entrée — about 11⁄3 cups of chunks of beef mixed with a few small broccoli florets — was drenched in a garlic sauce. Again, the quality of the food was fine — actually pretty good — just a much smaller quantity than I had seen previously. I chose the broccoli beef entrée thinking that I would get a decent RDA of veggies, but was disappointed to find that there wan’t much broccoli there. Quite ironic that it was heavy on meat and light on veggies, since most places would tilt the other way due to the relative costs of those ingredients. If you’re feeling particularly carnivorous, definitely a bonus for you! Unfortunately, I was trying to sate a «healthy» kick on this day, which was left wanting. The brown rice was tasty, just way more than probably anyone could/should eat in a single sitting(maybe even two). The mix really stood out because of the way they served this, with the rice and entrée portioned out to either side of the plate rather than with entrée spread all over the top of the rice. Obviously, most places would do the latter in order to disguise the ratio of meal: filler, so I would certainly give Pei Wei props for presenting the meal honestly. Overall, the place was clean, with attentive service and quality food. Why the average ranking then? Just didn’t feel that it was a fair value. I nearly always get two meals(one now + leftovers later) when spending $ 10 – 15 in a Chinese fast-food place, but I could only have done that here if I had made a 2nd meal out of the cup of rice that was left over after I had had enough. To be fair, though, Pei Wei is at least a couple of rungs above your typical Chinese quick serve so I’m willing to concede that my expectation may not have been reasonable. That said, I would be happy to come back as it is one if the better Chinese options in the relative void of inland North County.

The perfect place in the Las Posas shopping center to eat at when you have a hankering for a solid rice bowl. Even the small portion comes with a generous amount of rice, veggies, and protein. What I especially liked about this Pei Wei was the pleasant ratio of snap peas to other vegetables. At other locations, my order seems to always be inundated with snap peas… which as you can probably guess is not one of my favorite vegetables. For those who have trouble deciding between protein choices, you can do a combo(i.e. half shrimp and half tofu like I did). WECANHAVEITALL! I came in for an early dinner around 5:00pm and was the only customer in the whole restaurant. The cashier was quick to greet me, patient while I was deciding what to order, and very attentive to my needs(she came back to the register when she recognized I decided on a dish). I didn’t eat in, but decided on take-out instead. Overall the restaurant looked clean and the tables all ready for those who choose to dine in. Next time I might just dine in!

I simply use to love Pei Wei for their salad but now hate it as they have removed all their salads(veggie options) and simply refuse to make any substitutions. The only thing i like now? the 99 cents chocolate chip cookie.
