Paul is one of the best instructors in San Diego if not all of Southern California. I first started taking lessons with him in 2011, fresh out of a college football career and a complete shank on the golf course. I was shooting mid 90’s and breaking into the 100’s on occasion. Within a year, Paul added about 75 yards to my drive and all my irons improved in distance and accuracy as well. I was shooting in the 70’s before I knew it, and my recent best is a 74 with two double bogies. If it weren’t for Paul I literally would have sold my clubs and quit the game back when I was shooting around 100 in 2011. Recently I have been hitting drives consistently around 325 yards, and my game continues to improve on a daily basis just practicing the basic fundamentals Paul teaches so well. He really knows how to keep the game fun, and is not the type of instructor that will try to make everyone’s swing perfect and get you thinking too much. I am 24 years old, but Paul is great working with any age group from my observation. Kids seem to flock around him, and have a sort of enthusiasm for the game that most people don’t grow to have until they are retired. From young to old, beginner to aspiring pro, Paul can really help improve your game and most importantly make golf a lot more fun to play for anyone.

My children have been coming to Paul for golf lessons and it has made a huge difference in the quality of their play. Paul makes it really fun while teaching them about body mechanics to improve their golf swing. He is very animated and enthusiastic so I see a lot of smiles during their practices. He is also very challenging, always pushing them to be their best. Unlike many golf teachers who just stick to the practice tee, Paul tries to get the get kids out on the course frequently so they can play with a variety of challenges. My kids also participate in the clinics he offers so they meet the other junior golfers and work together on putting competitions, target practice shots, etc. My kids were reluctant golfers before we stared coming to Paul and now they have visions of playing in tournaments and for their high school golf team in the future. My husband is a scratch golfer and took a few lessons from Paul. Now he is hitting it even better than before! Paul Miernicki is the Director of Instruction at the Twin Oaks Golf Course, which is a nice place to play with a friendly staff. Paul’s first student, his son Daniel, has recently gone pro after an impressive career as a Top 10 amateur. Paul also teaches adults and has special clinics just for the ladies, Ladies Afternoon Tea, that sound like a good time with wine, fruit, cheese, clinic, and course play.
