Sonic

So, I have been back on a few occasions since my last review but it has mainly been for slushes or some kind of dessert.
Today, my son wanted some popcorn chicken so we came here since we were close. My MAIN complaint in the past has been COLD food, especially the fries!
Since I paid with cash, the car hop had to go get my change so I tasted one of the fries!!! And they were piping hot for the first time EVER!!!
I’m only leaving 3 stars though because I haven’t experienced it enough to know if it’s a continuous effort or just by chance. Either way, I was finally able to say the fries tasted hot and fresh as they should be every time!

As we arrived at 11:54, our car was entering the drive through when suddenly sonic got darker. As I looked over I saw they were closing. I waited with my cousins at the intercom, but no one answered. We looked up the closing time and we saw that it was in 5 minutes at 12 o’clock. All we wanted was some milkshakes for my cousins and I for graduation.

Slow service and somewhat cold food because of it!!!
Many better choices since the whole draw of «Fast» food is not a thing here.

I have never had a problem with this sonic location, up until the last few times I’ve gone. The first time that I went I ordered mozzarella sticks and a drink at the drive thru. It was a simple order I had only two cars ahead of me, it should have been quick. I spent around 20 minutes waiting. The girl walking to cars with the orders took care of the two cars in front of me. Instead of coming over and getting my card from me she went back in. I didn’t think much of it, I assumed she just didn’t have my receipt to go over my order with me. I pulled up. Waited another 5 minutes. And the girl came back out with the receipt. Entirely the wrong order, I can only assume it belonged to the car behind me. She said she’d be right back, takes care of several cars behind me and comes back to my car quite a bit of time later. She told me that my mozzarella sticks exploded in the fryer and that they had to remake them. Finally about 20 minutes after I out my order in she comes out with them, and hands me a chip for a free medium drink for the wait for the next time I came in. It would have been a nice gesture, if it didn’t happen almost the exact same way the next time I came in with that chip with the same order. The only difference being that they didn’t explode in the fryer. Still took about 20 minutes. This time I didn’t get anything or even an apology for the wait. Whatever, maybe I just went on off days.
I went in today to pick up a few corn dogs. Again I waited about 20 minutes. For 4 corn dogs. No drink. No shake. Just corn dogs. 2 cars in front of me that were taken care of within about 2 minutes of me getting there. Finally after I received them I started to eat one, only to find out that the corn bread of the dog, was completely raw on the inside. I spit it out, and tried eating a different one. Again completely raw dough. I had picked up two dogs for me and two for my coworker. Instead I got to work, broke the last two corn dogs open to find that those were completely raw as well. If you’re going to make me wait 20 minutes for some corn dogs, I expect them to be cooked all the way through. I won’t be coming back. Between the ridiculous wait times, and the lousy food, this location lost a customer.

I came here on a weekday late afternoon so it wasn’t busy at all. I got a classic chocolate shake which was really good. I would def come back here to get another shake if I don’t mind the calories.
Weird thing on my visit. My husband paid with cash and the worker asked if he’d like my change back. Umm yes! And I’m not talkng about a penny or two!

This review is only for their drinks. I never get the food here because it is so greasy and not worth the price they are. It was pretty busy at 930pm on a Friday night. The drive thru line was really long so my husband and I parked and ordered. I came in with a sweet tooth and got my usual lemonberry cream slush. It was so good! Perfect blend of creamy and icy. They fill half the cup with creamslush, put whipped cream then fill the other half with creamslush and top it off with more whipped cream and a cherry. BOMBBBB! Whipped cream in every bite! (Well, that’s because I eat it with a spoon.) You can also drink the creamslush through a straw but I don’t have patience to wait for it to melt! Towards the end of my cup I hit something hard and realized it was a full lemon peel. That kind of grossed me out so I stopped eating it but at least it was at the very end. I can’t wait to come back and get the limeades. I love the cherry limeades and my brother recently told me that the watermelon lemonade has become one of his favorites!

Driving with wifey yesterday and she said «damn I should of gone into Sonic for Happy Hour. Well I made her flip a U turn and go!!! We both ordered the XL Cherry Limeade. Man that damn drink is the BOMB!!! Didn’t get food so can’t comment on that but the HAPPY HOUR drinks are a great deal. Stop in and get your Cherry Limeade on!!!

We went to sonic for a small meal but the line was crazy long so we used the order parking and we pressed the button to order but waited at least 20 mins til we found out it was broken, what kind of business doesn’t check to see if their intercoms work! We have wasted our time getting our order. Our group move to another spot and order. We got our order and waited another 10 minutes to get but it was warm and edible, not really decent meal, I will recommend you this… Go at your own risk.

1 star. Employees got extremely lazy and closed 1 hour before closing time. I knocked on the window to ask the store manager what the reason was, he got an attitude with me, told me it was none of my business and closed the door in my face.

I come here occasionally to get the cheesy bacon pretzel dog with Mozzarella sticks as my guilty pleasure food. However after my last visit I don’t think I’ll come back. I got my hot dog and it reeked of onions. I opened it up and It was COVERED in onions. Not even grilled onions like it’s supposed to come with, but chopped raw onions. I then came to realize they put onions on there to cover up the fact that they put chili on it. Which the hotdog also isn’t supposed to come with nor did I order it with chili.
The Mozzarella sticks were also obviously undercooked. It was all inedible.
I get if you make a mistake and make the hotdog wrong and you start over, but don’t try to cover it up and still serve it. There is no circumstance where a customer should receive an ingredient that is not in the recipe and was not ordered. It’s dangerous. Fix it. Sonic is bullshit and the cooks don’t care about the what they’re making and obliviously the management doesn’t care what they’re sending out to their customers.

Their drinks are great! But the food. Not so much. I always come for the slushy or milkshakes, after I’ve already had lunch or dinner. Don’t come hungry because you might not get full from their food selection. Other than that, the old school pull up to the menu and workers on skates are an awesome idea!!!

Love everything but the seasoned popcorn chicken. They need tho redo that item. You get popcorn chicken swimming in seasoning literally.

Okay have to give 5 stars for the delicious Oreo cake shake. It’s by far the best thing I’ve ever tasted. Did not enjoy sitting in the car inhaling the strong smell of weed coming from a group in the parking lot. Their menu is not large enough to list all their shakes. We just pulled up the menu on the website for the full list. Not sure if I want to come back but the shakes are amazing and very good.

Good food, great shakes, and friendly service every time I come here. What else could you ask for?
Half price shakes after 8pm is great!

Super nasty. Fries were mush. Burger was plain and blah. I had a fresh fruit slushy and it wasn’t bad except the dang fruit kept getting stuck in the straw. Haha
That’s all I’ve had there so I don’t know how the rest of the food is.

Last night at Sonic was strange…
It was a late July night and the rain was pelting my windshield like a hail of bullets from Tony Montana’s «little friend». Trying to read Sonic’s poorly designed menu I noticed something odd being offered with their Slush Drinks… Popping Candy?.. Could this be generic POP ROCKS? After 5 minutes of getting everyone to decide on what they wanted, I placed an order for a blue raspberry slush with «popping candy». BTW, when it rains, the car hops swap the rollerblades for walking shoes. As the goodies arrived, I couldn’t help but wonder what was more strange, a driving rain storm in July, pop rocks in a slush drink, or my clan ONLY taking 5 minutes to decide what they wanted to order. Strange night indeed.

— Big win for the slush drinks with nerds, jolly rancher, or generic Pop Rocks!
— I always end up buying tots even though I swear we’re only getting desserts.

I fell in love with this place when my ex husband introduced me to the cherry lime-​aid while visiting his hometown in OKlahoma. I loved the concept and was excited when it made its way to Socal! I still am a sucker for their drinks and happy hour. I love going here for the treats, since there is no dairy queen in the area this is the same to me. I never go for the food, just the treats. My friend ordered the crescent dog, and its just a flakier hotdog bun. NOT a crescent. I see mixed reviews for this location but every time I go the order has been correct and quick. Last night a kid was rolling from car to car with a condiment tray in case you needed more ketchup, straws, napkins ect. I thought that was a nice touch.

I love Sonic, especially for their drink and shake selection. One problem I had though was with the button to place your order… I pushed it, then it flashed. I waited for a few minutes and it just stopped. I realized cars that pulled up after me started ordering. Then problem 2 they didn’t give me a straw for my drink and didn’t give me any napkins. Being courteous, I got out of my car and walked to the drive up window. Pretty inconvenient though.
My gf has the chicken strip dinner, with toast tots and an onion ring. It was pretty good! For her drink we got an ocean water cause that is my favorite drink on the menu. Then my go to item is the extra long chili cheese coney. It’s always so good! Then I ordered the brownie bliss shake which was amazing. Overall the food was great, the inconvenience in ordering and the service was not so great. 2.5 stars

Came here on ⁶⁄₁₉ because they had ½
Off milkshakes! We ordered 2 mediums and 1 large. Cookie dough, chocolate cream pie and Oreo cookies. Service was good, car hopper was very friendly. Milkshakes were mediocre but portions are well worth the price. Would come here again if they had more discounts!

Hey, there’s no lines and no crowds!

The fam and I were doing some shopping nearby when we had a sudden urge to add Sonic to our evening. Pulling into one of the pit stops, we ordered the usual burger/​chicken nugget combos. We were surprised how quickly the food came, the server was very courteous and friendly.
A few minutes later, we ordered more food and we got more of the same great service.
As we hunkered down and scarfed our food, we noticed the drive-​thru line getting longer and longer. I guess, we came at a good time.
We’ll be back.
