I called to have my furnace repaired and had an appointment scheduled for repair that same afternoon. The tech was professional and courteous and replaced my failed blower motor that same day. I felt the price was very reasonable for the high level of service I received.

As an owner of a fairly new Mitsubishi Mr. Slim ductless A/C and heating system for our home, we developed a problem with one of the air handler units. We of course contacted the original installer(AirMaze Services), but unfortunately they appear to have gone out of business. Knowing how specialized these systems are, you must make sure that any service performed is handled by a Mitsubishi certified facility. If a non-certified technician services the unit, Mitsubishi could void the warranty. I began calling companies from the list of approved providers in my area. I came across Bayside Mechanical. My immediate instinct was to check Unilocal.I have used plenty of service providers that receive rave reviews and turn out to be disappointing. I decided to give them a chance. Upon first contacting Bayside, I spoke to Patrick and Vincent and they were both very helpful in listening to my situation and what they thought was necessary to remedy the problem. We had someone come out the next day to inspect and confirm that we had a faulty air handler unit. They communicated their findings to Mitsubishi corporate and made every effort to get the warranty process moving. What makes this particularly stressful is that my spouse requires a specific temperature for health reasons, and being without A/C could be very problematic. Bayside understood this and made it happen. Under the Mitsubishi warranty, we were covered for parts for a period of 5 years. Vincent worked with Mitsubishi to determine what was needed and how long it would take. We were all set to get our air handler repaired when Mitsubishi came through BIGTIME and decided to replace our faulty air handler unit with a brand new one — as this should not have occurred in the first place. Vincent adjusted the plan of action and we had our new A/C unit installed within a couple of days. We just experienced an incredible heat wave and our Mitsubishi system helped tremendously. Not recommended — will post picture of a section of the duct work they were supposed to fix — another contractor discovered their shoddy work in the course of weatherizing our home. The weatherizing company also found large holes between the main trunk line and duct work on the ground floor. Also, the new furnace they recommended and installed we discovered from the weatherizing contractor was 25% over-sized for the size of our home — AND the seal between the furnace was NOT airtight — spewing hot air into the garage. They came back and patched it — and the weatherizing company also sprayed additional sealer into the area around the furnace as best they could. But it’s still half-baked at best. There are plenty of quality HVAC contractors out there — stay away from this one.
