This place is CLOSED! It will open as a new Chinese restaurant in mid-May instead of a new buffet. It’s so sad to see this go. It was my favorite Asian buffet place in the Bay Area in terms of food, price, and seating arrangement. They actually had a good variety of food and delicious dishes of a quality that you could find in a large Chinese restaurant, rather than those dishes that you see at Chinese fast food places like some other buffets have. Their sushi, Chinese barbecue dishes, and dim sum were good. Too bad this is now closed. Without another Asian buffet around, I’ll surely miss this place!

My previous review was NOT for the Buffet but for the restaurant before they converted it into a buffet. You goofed Unilocal! So, nearly a year later and here we are again on a Sunday night. At 6pm, the restaurant was 25% full and would never get busier than that. Not a good sign for a buffet restaurant nor its guests. Service was decent. We were greeted and seated. Used plates were picked up in a timely manner. The restroom was okay and the highchair was clean and had the necessary straps. This is a seafood buffet restaurant. Dinner on Friday, Saturday & Sunday is $ 22.95 per person. There was sushi, sashimi, raw oysters, cold snow crab, cold peel and eat shrimp, hot fish, crab, lobster, clams, dim sum, won ton noodle soup, peking duck and more. It really was a decent assortment of food. However, some was bland, some was cold, and some just looked really, really greasy. Maybe an off night? Perhaps. Our experience with all Chinese Buffets is hit them when they’re new because they’ll quickly go downhill. The quality of the food here was much better as a restaurant. We also didn’t like that the tables are too close together. Long tables set up in rows, they look reasonably spaced but once folks are seated, you’ll more than likely crash into the neighbor behind you when you leave or return to your seat. While it would be less convenient for staff, it would be nice if they seated every other table when it’s not busy and then only fill in when necessary.
