I work for a small business(8 – 10) people and was referred to Cobalt by our AT&T rep when we had to switch over to a PBX system that coincided with our fiber network install. Don’t understand what all of that means? Neither did I when I first started working with Barry, but after many months of conversation through emails, on the phone, and in person, I now feel like I have a handle on it all. And it doesn’t really matter if I do or not because Barry and his team are still providing support every day, and they are extremely helpful in providing answers when designing custom-fit systems that are both realistic and future-proof for your phone tech needs. We went with a rack-mount Xorcom PBX system that is highly configurable. Coming from a fully analog world it was a tough sell, and everyone in our office is still having a tough time making the leap. We were using Polycom phones and insisted on staying with them, even though it seems everyone is using Avaya these days. No problem, Barry got us the phones, installed the system, and has since been following up with my constant questions. It’s been two months since it went live, and I will say we don’t like the phones very much but everything else has been great. Should have listened to the rec’s of Cobalt, but what can you do? When you purchase a system through Cobalt, you aren’t just getting the equipment installed, they are also selling their expertise and the ability to meet your bottom line in their customer tech support package. Someone is always available by phone and they are GREAT at responding to my emails. No robots or being put on hold, ever. I appreciate that so much, and conversations I have had with Barry make me realize he is passionate about what he does and has a great handle on the ‘big picture’. After all, he is in the unique position of working with all types of VOIP providers and gets to see how that translates to customer experience. He can straight-talk because he isn’t beholden to one service or one brand of hardware, and has the power to pick and choose what is best for you. If you’re just getting started down the road to VOIP via high-speed internet it is worth your time just to give these guys a call and get an idea of what you’re in for. I will say that the system they installed has been dead-quiet, bug-free, and relatively user-friendly with tons of options that are actually saving us money compared to what we used to be paying. Once you make the leap it’s pretty tough to go back again, and Cobalt is a great safety net to have.

Barry & Cobalt IT went above and beyond on our recent transition from DSL to fiber optic internet service. He assisted every step of the way and provided timely(practically immediate) responses to my numerous emails and phone calls and product questions. He helped us select quality phones within our businesses budget and made many trips to us to try out the phones and get a real feel for them in our hands. I would recommend Barry and his company in an instant!
