This shop is definitely one of the hidden gems of San Mateo. It is small, but packed with various antique items; kitchenware, jewelry, crystal, framed art, furniture and other odds and ends. Everything is reasonably priced and organized in a way that makes you feel like you are on a treasure hunt. Don’t forget to check out the area out back– there is even more miscellaneous furniture and such. The store is owned by a couple– the husband is very pleasant and runs the storefront while the wife does the buying and seems to have good eye for quality items to stock the store with. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the neighborhood.

Have been a shopper for a LONG time, and always look forwrd to the next visit. The selection is eclectic, and prices are very reasonable. This is one of the few shops left where there are still a lot of bits and pieces of hardware, lamp parts, and other accessories to rummage through. Tony, the proprietor, is always friendly, and professional. By the way, I can’t understand the negative comment about the shop«never» being open. This is absolutely NOT true. And for those rare occasions when there’s a sign posted«Be back in ten minutes,» take it from somebody who has worked in a one-person shop, we all need an occasional trip to the loo, or whatever.

You are never open! I’ve gone by time and time again, and no one is EVER there! Why do people place ads, pay for those ads and then never have their store open? Possible answers: free rent, free storage and/or too rich! The place remains closed, who could shop there?

i love this little family owned antique shop. it’s full of reasonably priced, neat, old crap, just the way i love it. there used to be a lot of other antique places within a block of Come C, but they’ve all closed down :(
