Greek fast food isn’t very good. In this case it was kind of dry and not as cheap as it should have been based on quality of food. It’s just plain and if you’re in a hurry and need something to chew and swallow so you stop shaking from hunger this is for you. Otherwise just go buy a sandwich in Whole Foods or something.

We recently discovered this place and have already been back several times. The food is fast and fresh and delicious, and all at a great price! Perfect for a week night when you just don’t feel like cooking. The dinner combo is an unbelievable deal and the caramel pecan dessert is deliciously rich.

I was excited to try Daphnes since I work so close to the location. I ordered the classic pita as well as the combo plate of gyro and steak kabob. Sadly, I was not impressed with their food. This is probably my least favorite greek restaurant I’ve ever tried. The menu and look of the restaurant seems promising, but the meat wasn’t good! The texture of the meat was stiff and not flavorful. The bread too was a little stale it seemed like. I felt like this place is more American-ized greek food… it lacks the flavor that authentic greek food has(in my opinion. I don’t think I will ever come back here.

Had this for the first time today and it blew my socks off! I got the gyro wrap and it was perfect. The meat was absolutely delicious and all the other ingredients were fresh. And the pita bread. SOGOOD! I loved everything about my meal!

Look for the coupons in your mail. Makes the deal unbeatable. Always greeted with a smile and I get the food very fast :)

Go for their dinner combo, about $ 8 for a meal that includes enough food!(2 main dishes, 2 side dishes, dessert!) This location is fairly well kept, clean, service is fast, staff is friendly, and food is what you would expect from Daphne’s! However, parking can be a little hard to get during lunchtime and their bathroom is located one building over in the back alleyway. Overall, this place is a good chain location however I prefer the food at the Daly City location more. TIP: sign up for their Daphne’s rewards club, you will get an email fairly shortly for a $ 5 off your next meal once you use your rewards(expires within 30 days). so plan according if you want to take advantage of the $ 5.

It’s good place for lunch. Like the food. I will not say it is pure Greek but kind of fusion to make suitable for local people. Good place to go once in a while.

Sometimes you need a quick meal and it’s back to work. Daphne’s fits into that mold of fast casual places that you can get decent grub quickly. Had a plate that had gyros, crispy shrimp with a side of Avgolomeno, and fries. The soup and shrimp were actually surprising though the gyros were standard. Service is friendly and again the place is pretty quick to get you your food.

For a chain, it’s pretty good. I’m sure there’s a lot of fat making the gyro and rice pilaf tasting so good, but whatever. In contrast to my usual spot for gyros, Rainbow Pizza, Daphne’s is: –Healthier. They put the taziki on the side. You can also easily opt for healthier sides. –Open more frequently – I believe Rainbow is closed Sundays. –Faster. Much, much faster. I have no idea how this particular store stays in business. The two times I’ve eaten here(on a weekend), I was the only customer. The parking lot is annoying for sure, with most people coming to this complex for Whole Foods, The Habit, or Crunch.

I was pleasantly surprised by how exemplary their customer service was. As soon as I walked in everyone was nice, saying hi to me and welcoming me. I ordered their new shrimp and mango salad with whole wheat pita and a side of hummus. The food was pretty decent. Very light and fresh. For a fast food joint, their food is pretty tasty and healthy. I was a bit disappointed with their mango salsa. It was good but the portion was much smaller and did not look as fresh as it did in the picture. It still tasted good so I am only taking one star off for that. Jenn is an A++ employee. She was so nice and had a smile on her face the whole time. She was even training someone and was really attentive to them making sure they understood every directive and she was very calculated in her training approach. I really liked her and hope she sees this review because that girl is going places! This is the type of person that puts my customer service skills to shame. She didn’t even get annoyed when I was looking at the menu and didn’t know what I wanted. The other employees were as equally nice and friendly. I got up to throw away my plate and the guy said very nicely, «Don’t worry. I got it.» He was genuinely happy to serve me. That was a nice feeling after having to cater to rude people myself. For a quick, light and delicious lunch, you can’t go wrong with this place.

After a not so stellar catering experience with Daphne’s, I was pleasantly surprised with an enjoyble California Greek Salad for lunch recently. Full of flavor from the gorgonzola dressing, the salad was fresh and the quantity plentiful. A side of soft, warm whole wheat pita bread and Tzaiki yogurt sauce accompanied the salad.

Daphne’s has the most incredibly… mediocre Greek food. Granted it’s Fast Greek food which if you think about it, is kind of an oxymoron. No I’m not calling you a moron. Greek food is meant to be slow and savored. Not the case here. I had the couple of Street Pitas that came with a side salad and soda as a combo(another giveaway on the lack authenticity). Reviewing the salad is probably as pointless as reviewing the soda(Diet Coke if you have to ask) but it’s serviceable as salads usually are. The Street Pitas had Gyro, which according to Wikipedia, is meat roasted on a vertical spit. Oddly, the«meat» seemed more like shaved bits of cloth. Didn’t really taste like meat that I’ve had in pitas elsewhere either. The pitas also tasted like they were bought from a store instead of freshly made. The only saving grace for this place is the service. The staff were generally courteous and nice so that bumped them from 2 to 3 stars. The food for the Gods this ain’t I’m afraid.

Food: 3.5 /5 Service: 5⁄5 I got a taste for Greek food while vacationing in Greece many years ago and feasting on the delicious food every night I realize that I’m not going to get anything that compares to the taste I had back then here in California so with that said I was very skeptical about Daphne’s seeing as in essence it’s Chain /Franchise Greek style fast food but I was actually quite surprised. The food isn’t bad, in fact some of it was pretty darn good. The 3 courses for $ 9.75 after tax( ) is a great deal and too much food for me to eat in one sitting. Fire Roasted Feta( ) — hot hot HOT!, tasty soft warm pita and the combination plate( ) was good too, I loved the salad. Service was excellent too even though it’s more of a self serve set up where you order at the till and take a number and they bring the food to you but any desserts or drinks you get yourself. The guy on duty when I went in was so attentive in bringing me my meal, checking everything was to my satisfaction or if I needed anything else and then offering to clear the plates once I was done. He was so nice I felt he deserved the 20% tip I left for him on the table(*note* I didn’t see a tips jar next to the till). Other weekly offers include: Monday: $ 3.99 Burger Wednesday: $ 1.49 Street Pitta

Quite possibly the worst meal — definitely the worst Greek food — I’ve ever had. The chicken and meat kabobs didn’t look good when they came out — the meat looked old and came out charred — and I shouldn’t have eaten it. But I did and the next day I was done with stomach issues. Others in my party ordered Gyro and Pizza and they weren’t impressed either. I hate to write bad reviews but I wanted to make it a point to do so for this one. Even the mixed veggies were soggy and didn’t look fresh. There is nothing redeeming about this place — breaks my heart as it is close enough to work and would have been good. But I wouldn’t eat here even if freaking Zeus forced me to.

I have absolutely had it with this place! I’ve lived across this place at the Archstone apartments for a year now and EVERY single time I’ve come to this location the experience has been CRAP! The only reason I’ve ever continued to come here has been out of convenience due to its location, but today is the LAST day I will ever give my money to this location. The manager, a tall, very slender, older gentleman, is always dry, monotone, comes across rude, and NEVER makes you feel welcome. Today was no different than ANY time I’ve been here. While I was waiting for my order, he told a customer that they had to call ahead of time to let them know that they would be using a coupon. I mean really? On top of the absolutely UNFRIENDLY atmosphere, I have NEVER, in ALL the times I’ve ordered here had my to-go order EVER come out right. Either a side is missing or an ENTIRE order is missing. Today was the final straw. I ordered sushi to-go at the place literally next store to this Daphne’s location only a minute before I ordered from Daphne’s. Mind you the sushi place was totally packed(30 – 40 people), which is expected at 7 in the evening; head count at Daphne’s at the same hour: only 6 people. Mind you, there was no one ahead of me when I ordered at Daphne’s either. The 6 people there already had their food. Still my order at Shiki’s Sushi was finished before my order at Daphne’s. Picked my order up from Shiki’s and still had to wait about 5 minutes to receive only HALF of my order from Daphne’s. I say half, because as I was leaving the restaurant, I realized an entire meal was still missing from my order. Super awesome. Maybe, just MAYBE, if the two chicks at the freaking cooking station weren’t so damn«busy» gossiping(like they usually are) and rubbing their noses with their aprons they would have read the order right!!! Or if the manager was actually doing and being friendly at his job, this wouldn’t have been the umpteenth time to have my freaking order screwed up!!! Either get a new crew or close this place down! I Wish I could give this place negative stars…

Quick and easy place to get a decent fixing of Greek food. I’ve only eaten here during lunch and so far, my experience has been pleasant. I usually order in ahead of time, since I only have an hour lunch and it takes a while to find parking in the shopping complex. I’ve only tried the classic pita and for sides the rice, salad, and fries. I mix and match either three depending on what I’m in the mood for. The meal comes with the right amount of food so I’m pretty comfortable by the time I leave. It’s simple and what you’d call Greek«fast» food. There are other things on the menu which I want to try so I’ll probably come back to try other stuff when I have the time.

My comfort food * Good portion of flavorful, salty meat with better quality than questionable delis and the gyro street vendors I used to see all the time in Manhattan. * Pita bread is slightly toasted, makes it tastier. Also fresh tomato, lettuce, onion is good quality. * Used to eat here all the time in Irvine and Newport Beach, glad to see one in Bay Area. Clean and new atmosphere.

Meh! I was starved and decided to grab lunch here on a whim. Boy was I mistaken. I got a combo plate with the chicken kebab and falafels with rice pilaf and tabouleh salad. Ummm… where was the flavor of the food? You call these flattened balls falafel? Umm… ok?!? I know there are plenty of restaurants that California-ize their food but really Daphne’s? I’ve had some great experiences with Greek food and this establishment pales in comparison.

My colleague suggested coming here for lunch. We ordered a Gyro plate w/pitas, hummus, and fries on the side. The meat was actually flavorful, and not too dry. The pitas were hot and fresh and the hummus was tasty. To top it off, the fries were nice and crispy too! Service was friendly by the staff! I’ll be back the next time I’m in the area! :D
